Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aimed to calculate half-life and literature obsolescence of Journal Skala Husada "The Journal of Health" Volume 11 and 12, No. 1 and 2 in 2014 and 2015. The study was calculated based on the citations by each article. This study used quantitative methods, the unit analysis of this research are the articles of Journal Skala Husada "The Journal of Health" Volume 11 and 12, No. 1 and 2, in 2014 and 2015, which having citations with the year of issue. In these journals have a total 68 articles 736 citations. Based on the calculations, the highest hal-life is 8,9 years and the lowest half-life is 5,6 years, while the half-life average Journal Skala Husada "The Journal of Health" Volume 11 and 12, No. 1 and 2 of 2014 and 2015 is 6.8 years. Half-life of Journal Skala Husada "The Journal of Health" Volume 11 and 12, No. 1 and 2 in 2014 and 2015 was 6.8 years, meaning that literature which has more than 6.8 years should be reconsidered to be used as a reference while those with less than 6.8 years of age can be used as a reference for information provided is considered still relevant Keywords : half-life, obsolescence

Abstract

ABSTRACT             The purpose of this research is to determine the satisfaction level users of the library book collection development policy STMIK STIKOM Indonesia. This research is quantitative descriptive research and the techniques of data collection  used questionnaires, literature, and observation. The subjects of this research were all visitors of STMIK STIKOM Indonesia library. The population is all library visitors in February 2016 which are totally 304 people and pointed 173 as sample became respondents. The technique of sampling is using Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. This research are conducted for one month in March 2016. The results of this research is the book collection development activity of library STMIK STIKOM Indonesia are carried out routinely and it has been considered in accordance with the need of users, but has not been fulfilled need of the library users, with an average  63.17% of user satisfaction rate. Keywords: user satisfaction, library collection,college library

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to show the role of librarian on library usage promotion Public Library and Archives Board of Manggarai Regency. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. The Techniques of collection data  are observation, questionnaire and literature study. The data was taken based on the results of the questionnaire. The data analysis used quantitative methods by calculating the amount of the data collected and presenting data in formulas and then describe it. The results of this reserach is the role of librarians on the library usage promotion shows that the librarians have done library usage promotion periodically (once on 3 months), especially promotion which held in any school by effective communication to library visitor or library user at Manggarai Regency. This program is  expected can increase the visitation of user and the users can feel satisfied when they come to library. Keyword :Librarian, Library Promotion, Library Usage, Library Usage Promotion

Abstract

ABSTRACT The title of this study is Evaluation of Library Circulation Services Bali State Polytechnic..This research is located at Bali State Polytechnic Library. The population of this research is the students who are members of the Polytechnic Library Bali in March 2016 as many as 112 people. The research sample is calculated using the formula slovin, with a total sample of 87 people, while the sample collection technique used was stratified random sampling. The results obtained in this study can be explained that the circulation of Bali State Polytechnic Library  met the needs of library users so as to achieve the satisfaction of library users, judging from hypothesis testing showed that the t value is smaller than alpha (? = 0.005) to 0.000 < 0.005, it can be said that the circulation service can influence user satisfaction at Bali State Polytechnic Library. Keywords: Circulation Service, User Satisfaction, Library.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Human Resource Management Library (Case Study in the Indonesian Hindu University Library) Research on human resource management, libraries are implemented in the University Library Hindu Indonesia, in April to May 2016. The aim is to understand the human resource management that includes application management functions such as planning, organizing, or implementation, and monitoring and any obstacles encountered in the management of human resources Indonesian Hindu University Library. This research is descriptive qualitative approach. Informants in this study is the head and the Indonesian Hindu University Library staff. The object of this research is the management of human resources Indonesian Hindu University Library. The process of data collection is done by interview and observation. Based on the results of research by the author, it appears that the management of human resources in Indonesia Hindu University Library is not optimal. In managing the human resources that exist, the library has not been fully implemented management functions that is good in terms of planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring. In addition, the management functions are not based on theories of management science, but based on the needs and experiences in the library. Human resource management Hindu University Library of Indonesia is closely linked to internal and external factors that have been outlined in the SWOT analysis of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats faced by the library. Abstract

ABSTRACT The objective of this research is to know the library location in increasing the number of visits at public library in Gianyar regency in the year 2016. This research is descriptive quantitative research. The variables of this research are the library location and the number of the library user visits. The collecting of data were conducted by distributing 346 questionnaires, observation and literature study. This research is used a sampling purposive that is sampling technique with a certain considerations. Based on the result of data questionnaires processing obtained that the location of public library in Gianyar regency had significant effect on the number of the library user visits. The result of data processing showed that 346 (100%) respondents know the location of public library in Gianyar regency, 126 (36,4%) respondents live within a radius of 6 km – 15 km from the residence to the location of public library on Gianyar regency. In addition, it was found that the library location related to the aspects of access (224 respondents = 64,7%), the availability of collection (240 respondents = 69,4%), the comfort aspects (235 respondents = 68%), aspects of library facilities (227 respondents = 65,6%) and the of librarian hospitality aspects (244 respondents = 70,5%). Abstract

ABSTRACT The Advance of library on reading interest increased in SMP PGRI 1 Denpasar’s Library This research is descriptive research in which use qualitative approach. The explicit of Library advance on reading proclivity increasing material is improve in this research, to meet the objective there 5 informant in Library of SMP PGRI 1 Denpasar To analyze the data are uses observation and interview technique. In this research, the tabulation data can be analyze by reduction, offering data, and conclusion from the data, to cover on offering data it’s use short explaination or narrative text. The library of SMP PGRI 1 Denpasar take important role on reading proclivity, these facts improve on excessively students visit and great quantities on book borrowed every day in The Library of SMP PGRI 1 Denpasar. The library tool and infrastructure is important things to be proclivity on reading in the library of SMP PGRI 1 Denpasar and there is no research yet on reading proclivity in The Library of SMP PGRI 1 Denpasar. Abstract

ABSTRACT Performance Librarians Background As Teachers in the Processing of Library Collection in SMP Widya Suara Sukawati   This research is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach. In the study described it  matters relating to the performance teacher background librarian in processing the collection, involving 4 (four) teachers to work on the processing of the collections in the library of SMP Widya Suara Sukawati. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation and documentation. In this study the authors conducted with triangulation data processing, reduction, data presentation, and conclusion, while the technique of presenting data using formal presentation techniques and informal. Performance teacher background librarian in processing the collection will not run according to standards in general because librarians should really  understand about the science library that included work on the processing of the library collection. Teachers only have educational background as a teacher rather than as a librarian in general. Sound library should SMP Widya Suara Sukawati seek expert librarians so that processing can be run according library collections in general.   Key Words : Perfomance, Collection, Teacher

Abstract

ABSTRACT The collection in the library SMAN 1 Kintamani a good enough, already support academicians in the field of education, but the new books to be renewed and old books in the library need maximum care because it is still in need by librarian as a means of information and references. The results of this study, found that library visits (78 respondents = 31.5%) the length of time to the library (187 respondents = 75.4%), use of the collection (110 respondents = 44.4%), how to take advantage of the collection (133 respondents = 53.7%), the collection is available (122 respondents = 49.1%), which is already a new collection (up to date) (147 respondents = 59.3%), the collection helps in learning (140 respondents = 56.5%), the facility is already fair (132 respondents = 53.3%), librarian help to find collections (128 respondents = 51.6%), librarians provide guidance (124 respondents = 50%). Abstract

ABSTRACT                The title of this research is "Maintained Collection to Increase Circulation in the Indonesia University’s Library". This type of research is quantitative methods. The population of this reseacrhs is taken directly from permanent library users as much as 62.900 during the last 3 months, counted from January to March 2016 and results in a sample of 400 people through a calculation using the Slovin formula.This research taken for two weeks from 27 April 2016 to 11 May 2016, on 2nd floor at Indonesia University’s Library.               The results can be obtained through this research there are still widely found users who try to damage the collection either intentionally or accidentally as many as 29.3% or 117 people, but the condition of collections in the University Library Indonesia had pretty good in 40.3% or as many as 161 users.Keyword : Preservation, Maintained Collection, Library of Indonesian University.
