Abstract

Library SMPK 1 Harapan Denpasar is located at Jalan Sesetan no. 62 Denpasar. Population in this research all library member of SMPK 1 Harapan Denpasar Library is about 1,679 student as library. In the sampling calculation using the Slovin formula, abstain 324 student samples with a total error of 5%. This research uses questionnaire, observation, and literature study. Daily visitor data is 100 to 150 students, all respondents have visited the library more than 3 times a week for reasons of visiting the library looking for materials to complete the task given by the teacher. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to know how the utilization of the bilingual collection at the HighScope Indonesia Bali’s library. The population in this research is all students who are the members of the school’s library of the HighScope Indonesia Bali, the total is 355 students. Using the Slovin formula, the total of the sample is obtained for as much as 188 students, with the total number of error is 5%. The research is using questionnaire, observation, and literature study as data collection method. The outcome obtained is the utilization of bilingual collection at the HighScope Indonesia Bali’s library has been well. Based on the result of the questionnaires, it came into the knowledge that almost all respondents (93,61%) stated that the most favorable bilingual collection was the Bahasa Indonesia-English and most of the respondents (62,23%) agreed that the biligual collections are very useful to improve languange skill. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the utilization of collections in the library SMA Negeri 4 Denpasar. The method used in this study which is descriptive quantitative with the population is all students active library users of SMA Negeri 4 Denpasar, with the number of members of the library is 1000 people. while to determine the sample in this study taken a number of 100 respondents using slovin formula with percentage error of 10%. sampling using probability method by using simple random sampling technique.The results showed that the use of library collections SMA Negeri 4 Denpasar has met and in accordance with the needs of its users. the utilization of library collections occurs due to several factors that drive internal and external factors. collection in the library SMA Negeri 4 Denpasar is good so it can support the needs of users in the field of education. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to know the constraints faced by library users while searching for information on OPAC and to know the effect of Variable X to Variable Y on effectiveness of Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) in tracing information at Integrated Library of Health Polytechnic Denpasar. The type of this research is quantitative descriptive. The total population is 565 people and the number of samples of 85 people calculated with Slovin formula. The determination of samples from this research is using the technique of nonprobability sampling with the purposive sampling approach. This research is further more using the data collection technique in the form of a questionnaire. This research use multiple linear regression for the data analysis techniques. The conclusion of this research is that usage of the OPAC has been effective and give an effect to user satisfaction in Integrated Library of Health Polytechnic Denpasar. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the circulation service for children with special needs in SLB Negeri 2 Denpasar. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The variable of this research is the circulation service for children with special needs. Data collection was performed by distributing questionnaires, observations and literature studies. Data collection techniques with documentation interviews and observations in the field population in this study is all librarians in SLB Negeri 2 Denpasar.In the discussion of this thesis the author will discuss about the circulation services for children with special needs. The research of this circulation service is made available to the Law of article 32 concerning education and special service paragraph (1) special education is education for learners who have difficulty level in following learning process because of physical, emotional, mental, social and or have potential of intelligence and potential .Circulation service in library SLB Negeri 2 Denpasar is one of the activities related to library user service. Circulation services include the front office of a library that shows the good and bad of a library service system.Based on the results of research and observation of the author of the system used by the library is the system open access. The result of data collecting by interviewing documentation and observation done by writer shows that almost half of respondents stated that SLB Negeri 2 Denpasar library has provided a collection for students with special needs that are suitable for children with special needs (Tuna Laras) in SLB Negeri 2 Denpasar , In addition, found the fact that the collection of SLB Negeri 2 Denpasar library more dominant to provide a collection for students with special need. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to know the library collection development at Perpustakaan Sastra Mangutama Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Kabupaten Badung, The method applied in this research is descriptive qualitative. Informants of this research are head of division, head of section, and librarian. Which amounts to 4 (four) person. The result of this research indicated that Perpustakaan Sastra Mangutama Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Kabupaten Badung does not have a written collection development policy. Selection activity of literature was conducted by librarian by spreading book questionnaire to schools and village. Selection criteria is based on update and literature physical condition. Weeding is carried out regularly every year by removing collections that are considered damaged and irrelevant or obsolete, so that the collections on the shelf are maintained its quality. Procurement of library materials is carried out regularly once a year and obtained through purchases with third parties (partners). Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study to examine the collections usage at Faculty of Tourism Library, UniversitasUdayana which is expected to support learningandresearch activities. The object of this study are collections which available at Faculty of Tourism Library, UniversitasUdayana. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the scope of automation system applied in Warmadewa University Central Library and the influence of the implementation of library automation system to the performance of librarian. This research use descriptive qualitative research technique. The subjects of this study are all librarians at Warmadewa University Central Library, with the number of population are 7 librarians and the number of samples corresponding to the total population of librarians at Warmadewa University Central Library. Data collection techniques used were interviews, direct observation and questionnaires. Data collection techniques used were interviews, direct observation and questionnaires. The results of this study show that the library automation system has good system quality and easy to use. The library automation system is capable of improving the performance of librarians, especially in terms of service to librarian users and library collection processing. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to know the implementation of RFID on circulation service in Grhatama Pustaka by using descriptive qualitative research method. Sources of data in this study were came from textbooks, journals, previous research , observations, and interviews. Informants amounted to 7 (seven) peoples are librarians and staff who served in circulation service. Technique of data analysis used data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of this research indicate RFID was very helpfull librarians and library staff in the circulation service of Grahatama Pustaka so that the circulation process can proceed quickly, accurately and can secure the library collections. The obstacles faced in the implementation of RFID are RFID system error on Staff Workstation. The other obstacle is technical constraint when processing of library collection. The last one, RFID is a library automation technology which have relative price, expensive as procurement as maintaince. Keywords: RFID, Circulation Service, library Automation

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the usage of collections in library, archives, and Documentation office Bangli Regency 2015.This research is quantitative descriptive. Descriptive quantitative research method that gives a true description of the situation by collecting data that needed which is then presented as per the guidelines of writing. In determining the number of samples, the researchers used Krecjie Morgan is table with an error rate of 5%. So the sampleused in this study were 357 users in Library Archives and Documentation Office Bangli Regency that meet the criteria within the study from February to March 2015.This Research shows that the enough majorityof respondents (59.7%) more use of magazines as a collection of frequently used. Most respondents (53.5%) agreed that the libraryhelping users take advantage of the collection. Keywords: library, collection, utilization
