Abstract

Kawasan Kota Lama Semarang merupakan kawasan historis yang menjadi inti pertumbuhan Kota dan berkembang melalui tiga fase dalam sejarahnya. Seiring berjalannya waktu, Kawasan Kota Lama semakin mengalami penuruna karakter namum upaya untuk menjadikan Kota Lama Semarang sebagai world heritage pada tahun 2020 membuat banyaknya perubahan karakteristik dan dapat mengubah wajah Kawasan Kota Lama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor perubahan karakteristik Kota Lama Semarang sebagai kawasan historis dan dapat dijadikan sebagai dasar upaya pelestarian kawasan. Perubahan karakteristik fisik di Kawasan Kota Lama yaitu adanya perubahan pemanfaatan serta pola penggunaan lahan, konfigurasi dan tampilan bentuk dan massa bangunan, perubahan sirkulasi yaitu peningkatan arus lalu lintas di kawasan yang semakin padat dan adanya perbaikan jalan di sebagian ruas jalan, selain itu adanya perubahan berupa penambahan area pejalan kaki dan ruang terbuka serta adanya pengurangan aktivitas Pedagang Kaki Lima (PKL). Perubahan karakteristik non fisik kawasan berkaitan dengan fungsi, budaya, dan aktivitas yang semula sebagai pusat pemerintahan kini berubah menjadi fungsi perdagangan dan fasilitas sosial serta sarana wisata budaya. Faktor perubahan karakteristik kawasan terbentuk menjadi II faktor, faktor I yaitu pembangunan infrastruktur, dukungan masyarakat dan untuk faktor II yaitu perubahan fungsi kawasan, pengaruh politik dan ekonomi.

Abstract

Humans as economic beings are always trying to find opportunities to earn income, that is by working anything and anywhere. As a result humans will find a place of life that is considered suitable for him in doing business to get a living space to build a settlement. There are two main options: choosing a comfortable place, and the second chooses a place close to the source of income, the resoltante of the two choices will produce a suitable land choice for himself. The question is, from the two options turned out that the location close to the source of income is more prominent than the need for comfort. There is a settlement whose location is unfit for habitation, but the community is willing to embrace the place just because the location is close to the source of income, which is around the industrial area in Semarang. This location is always inundated by tidal flood, dense, polluted by the industry, land degradation occurs, but the number of inhabitants comes 3 times more than the amount that comes out.The purpose of this study is to find out the reasons for the community to stay afloat, live in the area of the settlements that are integrated, experiencing a of rob inundation and the decline of land in the District of Genuk Semarang. The research method is done descriptively quantitative, with correlation analysis.The findings show that, the strength to survive is the economic factor kaeran, that is close to the industrial area, easy access, and facilities for children's education is also easy.

Abstract

Street vendors grow in urban areas, due to the narrowness of employment in the formal sector. Street vendors often occupy public spaces such as roadside, sidewalks, parks and fields. Ironically, the existence of street vendors is often considered the government as source of problem. One of them street vendors in the Taman Tirto Agung, Banyumanik District, street vendor activities growing in the sidewalks and parks. The existence of street vendors has changed the function of the park and degrade the visual quality of the space. Actually this problem arises because there is no exact location determination for street vendors by considering the characteristics of street vendors. The purpose of this research is to find activity characteristic of street vendor in Taman Tirto Agung. This research uses quantitative method. The results showed that the characteristics of street vendors in Taman Tirto Agung were influenced by diverse types of activity residential, commercial and recreation; a variety of merchandise that varies according to the needs of the surrounding community (raw materials, food/beverages, toys, services), means of trade is carts, tent carts, bicycles with baskets, car/motorcycle, umbrella table/tent tables), and time of activity (06.00-24.00) follow the time of regional activity (04.30-24.00).

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the public perception of the condition of the buildings in the old city of Semarang, what is appealing to the public. Quantitated method is used for this research, data obtained from questionnaires distributed randomly to the 100 respondents who met and are conducting activities in the Old City. The questionnaire contains ratings (based on public perception) of the elements considered most attractive, from a few choice elements of the building include building orientation, ornament, colour and facade, dimensions, architectural style, doors and windows, ceiling, walls and columns, floors, and roof. The assessment uses a Likert scale 1-5 where 1 to the lowest value (strongly disagree) and 5 for the highest value (strongly agree). The results showed that there are five components of the building are considered attractive and are of particular concern to the people; ornament; colour and façade; architectural style; doors and windows; as well as the shape of the roof of the building, it is seen that the value reached over 300, meaning that leads to agree and strongly agree as building components are interesting and deserve to be the basis of conservation.

Abstract

Taman Sampangan apply the concept of conformity of functions of RTH as a recreation area where viewed the existing condition of a crowded park visited by the surrounding community. Visitors are doing recreational activities in Taman Sampangan, such as sports, picnics, children's games. However, hard material and soft material elements do not support visitor activity in Taman Sampangan where jogging tracks are used as parking spaces,  colloseum and gazebo is not shady, broken children's playground equipment, lack of cleanliness due to difficult-to-reach garbage position, lack of lighting due to damage garden lights and spotlights as well as a lack of interest treatments in the park. Thus, it is necessary to do research with the formulation of the question: "Does the existence of Taman Sampangan meet the needs of recreation for the surrounding community based on user perception?". This research uses quantitative approach with frequency distribution analysis. Determination of respondents used Accidential Sampling Method with Guttman Scale measurement. The result of this research is Taman Sampangan fulfill the recreation needs for the surrounding community because there are hard material and soft material. Visitors also perform recreational activities in each landscape element. However, there needs to be improved landscape elements, such as adding vegetation in the gym area, sculpture, children's games, garden entrances, gazebo, and colloseum. In addition, it is necessary to add the absorption hole, laying the trash can could easily be reached and the user realizes the importance of maintaining cleanliness in the park.

Abstract

Population growth in Gunungsitoli city has increased in the last 5 years. With the increasing of population growth, the need of market facilities to provide for the people also increases. Nevertheless, the market facilities in Gunungsitoli have not been increased. From the beginning there are only 3 traditional markets which located in the same districts while Gunungsitoli has 6 districts each quite far away from the others. Because of this situation, it needed to increase the number of traditional markets or improve the existing traditional markets. The purpose of this research is to determine the optimum location to build traditional market in Gunungsitoli city. The research method used is quantitative method with descriptive and spatial analysis with GIS. The results are Nou Market, Gomo Market and Soliga Market does not need additional market but need an extension, be renovated with additional facilities. Meanwhile for the 9 pekan need improvement such as local market development in every optimum location in Gunungsitoli Disctric Idanoi, South Gunungsitoli Distric, North Gunungsitoli District and Alo’oa Gunungsitoli Distric.
