Abstract

The spread of the corona virus 19 in the last two years has had an impact on the learning process at AMIKOM University Yogyakarta. The learning process that was previously carried out face-to-face in the class rooms, must be changed by using technological devices that do not require direct contact between lecturers and students. However, online learning actually gets pros and cons in the community, even from lecturers and students. So the purpose of this study is to see the communication barriers between lecturers and students in the online learning process at AMIKOM University Yogyakarta. The sample of this study involved 3 students and 3 lecturers as resource persons. By using the three groove model simultaneously; data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification obtained findings showing that there are three main obstacles, namely: technical, psychological, and semantic.

Abstract

Doctrine, belief, or a set of norms and teachings of God brought by the Prophet are universal and absolute truth. But when it reaches to the practice stage of its adherents, it will be intertwined with the quality of understanding and appreciation that are relative, for every appreciation cannot be separated from certain socio-cultural settings that surround its adherents. Basically, the divine religions are allied religions that have historical roots and teaching substance  which is not different, so that at the level of application it should not give birth to different patterns of appreciation and patterns of social behavior. This paper will discuss whether there is a meeting point for the diversity of views and religious understandings brought by the prophets of the heavenly religion, and how the relationship between these views is in an effort to build harmony between religious communities.

Abstract

This article discusses the role of Islamic preachers in the development of Islamic society. Practically, religious preaching is one of the methods in developing moslem society. Islamic preachers in terms of community development are called facilitators who have a role as the subject of Islamic preaching (da'wah). This study is a conceptual study which is done by elaborating the concepts of Islamic community development through extension of programs discussed in various literatures. The findings of this study indicate that as a subjects of Islamic preaching (dakwah) as instructors or facilitators play multiple roles; as facilitator, mediator, educator, communicator, dynamist, motivator and stabilizer. The role of the Islamic  instructors is actually very broad and complex. The main role of the Islamic instructors in the development of Islamic society is based on the educative role.

Abstract

People morality in social life today make us very concerned, almost every social media reports various public actions that are not in line with religious and cultural norms; such as consuming alcohol, drug parties, online gambling, corruption, fraud, and murder. The irony is that some of the perpetrators are educated people, who commit acts of uneducated people. In this case, formal and non-formal educational institutions need to evaluate their education system and use the right method. Da'wah activities through quranic recitations conducted in Dayah or Islamic boarding schools can play a role in the formation of human morals if it carried out by using the right method. Historically, the Da'wah carried out by the Prophet Mohammad was very effective in carrying out moral transformation because of the effective methods and approaches. This study aims to determine the da'wah of Tengku Dayah in shaping the morals of students in Dayah Darul Muta'alimin, Seuneubok village, Johan Pahlawan district, West Aceh district. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach, data collection techniques through interviews, documentation and observation. The results showed that the da'wah of Teungku Dayah Darul Muta'alimin in shaping the morals of students through: The method of habituation of memorizing the Qur'an, the method of da'wah through regular recitations, exemplary methods, worship practice methods. Santri (moslem students) are educated through various methods in order to become a generation with virtuous character, noble character, faithful and obedient to the teachings of Islam.

Abstract

Film is a form of mass communication that is dominant today because it is many and easy for many people to see. In the story film there is also a narrative element. Bilal: A New Breed Of Hero is the first religious animated film based on the story of the Prophet's best friend Bilal bin Rabbah. But in this film also reaped controversy because in this film the Islamic narrative is made to be more vague so that the film also gets rejected. Based on this context, the purpose of this paper is to answer major and minor questions. The major question is how to analyze the film's narrative. Then the first minor question, the general theory of what narrative can be used to analyze the film. Second, what kind of plot is depicted in the film. Third, in what kind of different medium is the narrative of the film? In this paper the concept used to analyze the narrative of the film is a general theory of narrative, storyline or plot and narrative in different media according to the perspective of Braston and Stafford chapter narrative (2010). The results of the analysis obtained in the general theory of narrative can be applied narrative theory for example that was triggered by Prop and Todorov in the film. The narrative about Bilal in addition to the form of film is also delivered in the form of comic strips and animation.
