<![CDATA[Village Development PlanningDeliberation (Musrenbangdes) is an annual meeting of village’s stakeholders to discuss Rural Development Work Plan (RKP Desa) and Village Mid-Term Development Work Plan (RPJM Desa).This study examines community participation in Musrenbangdesand development programs implementation in 2014 in Kebumen village, Sumberejo, Tanggamus. This study using qualitative approach relies on document review, in-depth interview, and observation as data collection methods. Data collected is then analyses by using interactive model suggested by Miles and Huberman.This study shows that the level of community participation Murenbangdes is characerised by the following (1) Public participation by attending the meeting reaches 73%; (2) Public participation by contributing ideas is low; (3) Public participation is categorised as placation, that is, the authority allows citizens to provide inputs, but retains decision-making process in their hand. This study also suggests that community participation in development programs implementation is chaacterised by following: (1) development program has not been implemented effectively and participatively; (2) participation in development programs implementation is categorised as therapy, i.e. level of participation is engineered by some parties to replace pure participation.]]>

<![CDATA[Quality of academic services is important for higher education institutions. This service reflects the quality of that institution. The assessment of whether the institution achieves good quality is determined by its users’ perception. Therefore, achieving academic service satisfaction constitutes long term strategy requiring financial and human resources. This paper proposes some strategies for higher education institutions to achieve users’ satisfaction. These include superior customer service; unconditional service guarantees or extraordinary guarantees; complaint handle; institutional achievement enhancement; and quality function deployment (QFD).]]>

<![CDATA[This article discusses the ideas of Islamic theology in relation to modern life. The main purpose of this article is to present the idea of Mohammed Arkoun, the Algerian contemporary intellectual, to review the classical Islamic theological portrait which tends to stagnant and did not deal with the development of human civilization. The method used in this writing is to employ a qualitative method of research literature. The author of this article comes to conclude that the classical Islamic theology thoughts still focuses on medieval themes. Arkoun, in this sense, offers a reconstruction of Islamic thought that theology can be grounded in the modern life.]]>

<![CDATA[Western and Jews mass media creates 11 September 2001 WTC and Pentagon bombing tragedy as a point of departure of new propaganda and terror against Islam and its adherents. Western and Jews media have massively framed and labelled Islam and its adherents as terrorists, ever since this tragedy occurred. Sophistication, seriousness and professionality of Western and Jews mass media disempowers Muslims in confronting their information attack. Their mass media negatively frames and undermine Islamic teachings. Massive and systemic Western and Jews propaganda and hegemony which are distant from journalism ethics have to be confronted by Muslims through journalistic jihad, that is, dakwah bi al-qalam as contra terrorism through mass media. Dakwah bi al-hikmah and mauizhah hasanah through mass media has to be performed by Muslims individuals, institutions and organisations in smart, interesting, creative manner. Furthermore, the contents of dakwah through print and electronic mass media have to explain to audience that Islam is not terrorist religion. Rather, Islam is peaceful, and benevolent religion respecting others for the sake of happiness both in world and hereafter]]>

<![CDATA[This study examines community development program, i.e. TPK PNPM Mandiri in Kota Agung village and shows that level of community members’ participation differs according to their capacity. In general, community members participate by giving contribution in the form of money, wealth, power, skills, and idea. However, participation by giving ideas to the program is considered low. In terms of implementation, community participation is signified by working together (gotong royong) in implementing certain development programs. Likewise, community also involves in program monitoring and evaluation.]]>

<![CDATA[Sejalan dengan perkembangan teknologi komunikasi dan informasi sebagai bagian dari perkembangan kehidupan manusia, penggunaan media dakwah juga mengalami perkembangan. Perkembangan teknologi tersebut menuntut semua pihak untuk senantiasa kreatif, inovatif dan bijak dalam memanfaatkan teknologi dimaksud guna kemaslahatan umat manusia. Radio yang merupakan media auditif atau media yang hanya bisa di dengar, murah merakyat dan bisa dibawa atau didengarkan dimana saja. Radio memiliki kekuatan terbesar sebagai media imajinasi sebab sebagai media yang buta memvisualisasikan suara penyiar ataupun informasi faktual melalui telinga pendengarnya. Dalam kenyataan ini dakwah melalui radio sangat efektif dan efisien, di samping itu digunakannya radio dapat dipancarkan ke segala penjuru yang jauh jaraknya sekalipun, radio juga dimiliki oleh hampir setiap keluarga. Praktislah jika dakwah dilakukan melalui siaran radio berarti dakwah akan mampu menjangkau jarak komunikasi yang jauh dan tersebar yang juga dapat ditangkap oleh komunikasi yangtersebar pula. Efektifitas dan efisien ini juga akan lebih terdukung jika da'i mampu memodifikasi dakwah dalam teknik dakwah yang cocok dengan situasi dan kondisi siaran, apakah melalui ceramah, bimbingan dan penyuluhan, nasehat-panutan, sandiwara, diskusi atau juga melalui forum tanya jawab yang lebih dikenal dengan teknik dakwah dialogis.Kata Kunci: Radio Komunitas, Media dakwah]]>

<![CDATA[Ilmu profetik merupakan sebuah revolusi keilmuan terhadap keilmuan sekuleryang mengagungkan rasio, revolusi keilmuan ini sama halnya dengan revolusi keilmuan social marxisme yang mengkritik keilmuan barat yang dinilai sangat kapitalis. Ilmu profetik merupakan produk orang beriman untuk seluruh umat manusia, sedangkan ilmu sekuler merupakan produk manusia untuk sebagian manusia. Bukan berarti ilmu profetik akan menggeser kedudukan ilmu sosial yang sudah ada dan berkembang saat ini, melainkan akan melengkapi bahkan mengembangkan ilmu sosial yang tengah berkembang saat ini. Komunikasi profetik diajukan dalam kerangka baru praktik ilmu komunikasi Islam yang memadukan konsepnya dengan kajian ilmu komunikasi yang sudah berkembang sebelumnya. Ini bisa dibilang sebuah upaya “suntikan imunisasi” bagi perkembangan teknologi komunikasi dewasa ini, dalam menerapkan prinsip-prinsip kaidah komunikasi kenabian terhadap dinamisnya ilmu komunikasi yang berperan penting dalam kancah akselerasi perubahan sosial yang dapat menempatkan pengguna komunikasi, konsumen dan media komunikasinya jadi memiliki ”imunitas” pertimbangan etis dalam pelbagai praktik berkomunikasi.Kata Kunci: Komunikasi Profetik, Integrasi, Interkoneksi, Paradigma Keilmuan.]]>

<![CDATA[Research on Islamic boarding schools and radicalism is important to be done, conidering the events of terror and anarchy invariuos places of Indonesia such as in Solo, Madura, Jakarta and Cirebon, done by people who have a relationship with the Islamic boarding schools. This research tried to be explore the opinion of one of the existing Islamic boarding schools in Lampung: Al hikmah boarding school in Bandar Lampung about the radical even that were the religious activities have been done againts radicalism? Data in this research were collected through interviews, observation, and documentations. Data compiled then analyzed by employing qualitative approach and the critical method by comparing related theories and the experts opinions. The findings of this study indicated that radicalism had no relationship with religious factors, and nor to Islamic boarding schools, even if it was just to a person. The main factor actually of economic competition, the excessive fanaticism, juvenile delinquency and employment. In addition to these factors radicalisme caused by lack of education and lack of appropriate understanding and religious practice. To reduce a variety of anarchy actions al-Hikmah boarding school has conducted various activities such as educating people culture of peace, respecting each other through various activities. Students of this school were educated social life and preaching Islam peacely.]]>

<![CDATA[The study of pesantren is still interesting for researchers as it isinseparable from Muslim life in Indonesia. Since its presence, thepesantren aims at educating prospective Muslim propagators whowould understand Islam well (tafaquh fi al-din) and local wisdomdifferent from one place to the others. Recent phenomenon shows thatthe Indonesian pesantren is vulnerable to the infiltration of newIslamic stream that conveys Islamic mission (rahmatan lil alamin)in more radical ways. Many acts of violence in this country arealways associated with this radical Islamic stream. However,radicalism is in fact contrary to the pesantren’s tradition that teachesIslam with humanistic and tolerant approaches. This article willaddress the following questions: how does dakwah in the pesantrenrespond to the acts of violence conducted by radical Muslims? Whatefforts have the pesantren done and how should dakwah in thepesantren be conducted to prevent religious radicalisation? Theresults of this study show that dakwah by means of radicalmovement does not constitute an “indigenous” product of thepesantren. Rather, it is imported by a certain pesantren from otherpart of the Muslim world. Multicultural dakwah approaches whichare performed legally, constitutionally and emphatically have beeninitiated by the pesantren and the government. Nevertheless,cooperation from multi-stakeholders within Islamic community isneeded to increase and intensify such efforts.Kata Kunci: Pesantren, Dakwah, Multikultural]]>

If the scholars inherited the knowledge possessed by the prophet, then Ustadz can be said to be the one who inherited the science of kiai. After being trained in the crater candradimuka named boarding school of the santri who will become ustad in their respective areas of course have the knowledge that has been given by the teacher. But in life related to economy or worldliness whether ustadz is able to imitate the way used by kiai with his zuhud, because that is done mostly is ngaji and da'wah, while today has entered the modern era, the era of globalization that pivot on the culture of consumptive.]]>
