Abstract

AbstractThis paper is the result of a study evaluating three things, namely: how to position maqasid ash-Shariah in the perspective of Islamic economy, how to determine the state budget according to the perspective of maqasid ash-Shariah, and how to distribute  the state budget based on the perspective of maqasid ash-Shariah. Of the three issues were then further clarified about the ideas and basic principles of Islamic economy related to the maqasid ash-Shariah. In addition, the approach also addressed the value associated with the state budget in the system of Islamic economy. Furthermore, the concepts of Islamic economy on the state budget that can be applied in real life were discussed. To obtain the data, three methodological frameworks in Islamic economy were used. They consist of the idea and the basic principles of Islamic economy, Islamic value approach towards the conditions of Islamic economy, and the concept of Islamic economy that can be derived in real conditions. It can be concluded that at first the state budget should be based on five aspects: the maintenance of religion, life, lineage, sense and treasure. Second, according to maqasid ash-Shariah by using domain analysis and looking at the realization of state budget in 2008 – 2013, the budget did not describe the level of the existing maqasid ash-Shariah or in the moderate level. It can be seen from the hierarchy pooling of maqasid ash-Shariah that the maintainance of life (hifdzu an-nafs) ranks first with a total budget of Rp. 137.4 trillion; followed by the maintenance of treasure (hifdzu al-mal) with a total budget of 122.9 trillion; maintenance of sense (hifdzu al-aql) with a total budget of 121 trillion; maintenance of religion (hifdzu ad-din) with a total budget of 40.6 trillion; and maintenance of lineage (hifdzu an-nasl) with a total budget of 12.4 trillion. Keywords: Maqasid ash-Shariah, the distribution of state budget

Abstract

AbstractThis paper is the result of research that examines the concept of ecological humanism in the interpretation of al-Mishbah. This is interesting because this paper discusses the more specific context of environmental philosophy in the perspective of al-Misbah interpretation. This commentary was written by M. Quraish Shihab. The concept of ethical nature of the environment starts from controversial thought between traditional humanism and ecological humanism. Ecological humanism actually conveys the thought that humans should be responsible for the natural environment as it should not be depleted. In brief, the epistemology systems in the interpretation of al-Mishbah show a strong system built and fused among scientific concepts, penalties, and values built on the foundation of faith and strong belief. Thus, the faith and belief are not separated from the nature. Then the damage of nature gets the punishment from God in the context of maintaining the nature closely related to the values of faith and worship. Keywords: Ecological humanism, the interpretation of al-Misbah

Abstract

AbstractThis paper is derived from the results of research that examines the understanding and factors underlying the emergence of Salafiyyah movement in Dhiyaussalaf boarding school. Methodologically, this is a field research that uses the paradigm of qualitative or naturalistic inquiry. It has been on the consideration of the analysis of the research problem that requires some information based on the principles of qualitative research. The primary method of collecting the data is through direct and in-depth interviews with the students and teachers at Dhiyaussalaf boarding school. In addition, observation that does not interfere with the natural setting or the authenticity was conducted. These research data was analyzed on a case-qualitative, which began collecting the data in the field. To get the data which were not only descriptive but also able to touch the transcendent dimension, the creative divergent thinking was then sought after. This paper concludes that the understanding pattern of Salafiyyah movement in Dhiyaussalaf boarding school has the act based on Sunnah. The act exemplified by the tabiin has a missionary with tashfiyah principle in the sense of purification of Islam including bid’ah and hizbiyyah or harakiyyah. In addition, the school has principle in the sense of propaganda by fostering people to be a man who is able to live independently and to be perfectly servitude to God. Keywords: salafiyyah movement, dhiyaussalaf boarding school

Abstract

AbstractThis paper is a research result that reviews the way to internalize character values through VCT (Value Clarification Technique) in Islamic education by conducting a case study at SMAN 6 Palembang. The procedure of developing the character internalization model through VCT is also discussed. The implementation of VCT at SMAN 6 Palembang is conducted by the teachers through some stages: First, teacher conducts the learning process in accordance with the lesson plans to make the students internalize the values and perform appropriate attitude. Second, teacher does the assessment through written test and affective evaluation. Third, teacher gives remediation for those who do not meet the minimum standard score. Thus, the implementation of VCT in the subject of Islamic education at SMAN 6 Palembang has been conducted by the teachers through various materials starting from opening the class, discussing and assessing the students by written and unwritten evaluation. Keywords: Islamic education, VCT

Abstract

AbstractThis paper is derived from the results of a study evaluating on how ideal and organized the management of press. Besides, management as a science and art, and management functions were discussed. Then what and how the press and journalism, the press law and ethics perspective, and the functions of the press were also described. This paper concludes that the press as an organization cannot be separated by the application of management, both as a science and an art in order to achieve the objectives. Then, the existence and dynamics of the press at this time cannot be separated with the past life of the press, the press in the pre-independence as a struggle-oriented tool, press in the era of independence that slowly leads to economic and social institutions that tend to forward commercialism and neglect idealism.  Moreover, the freedom of press cannot be interpreted as freedom to carry out journalistic activities freely, but these freedoms must be subject to the law and journalistic ethics. Therefore, a good press is a press that is able to manage the balance between the demands of idealism and commercialism. Keywords: press, journalism

Abstract

AbstractThis paper is a research result that discusses the thoughts of Zakiah Daradjat about the role of Islamic education on mental health. Education in his perspective includes human life that is not only focused on the aspects of faith or morality, but much broader and deeper than it all. Understanding mental health related to the potential of men refers to the establishment of a genuine harmony between the functions of the soul and ability to deal with common problems and avoid the anxiety. Therefore, this paper concludes that Zakiah’s thoughts about the role of Islamic education on mental health can guide, help and control in morality and mental disorders. Keywords: Islamic education, mental health
