Abstract

This paper attempts to analyze the economy of Yogyakarta by dynamic shift share method. The result shows that there is an increasing of economic growth of Yogyakarta before and after regional autonomy. There is a positive change in competitive advantage of Yogyakarta and positive change in output growth of Yogyakarta.

Abstract

This research focuses on measurement aspect of elasticity and difficulty rate of local receipt realization in Sleman Regency. The analysis which developed is regression model by partial adjustment model (PAM). The result of this Study shows that the elasticity of all models more than I (E 1) or elastic. It means that local finance interdependence on central payment in long term is relatively decrease, assumed there is an economic growth (GDRB). This studyConcludes that coefficient. _ 1 or close to zero means the difficulty rare is relatively high, because it cannot operate the local receipt planning as the target. It is shown that local receipt administration relatively bad. So that this research recommended that the local governments have to increase an economic growth for increasing the local receipt, and an improvement on professionalism of human resources.

Abstract

The fiscal policy has become an important issue in Asian countries, including Indonesia. In recent years, a number of papers have focused on the examination official performance, including fiscal sustainability and the relationship between fiscal and monetary variables. This paper attempts to analyze the relationship between fiscal variables, including government expenditure, tax and price in Indonesia. This paper applied cointegration and Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) to analyze the relationship between government expenditure and tax. The result shows that, there is strongly long run relationship between fiscal and monetary variables. A more active fiscal policy and a better fiscal management must be practiced in Indonesia.

Abstract

Agriculture needs to exist because of ecological and economic reasons. Recently, the amount of agricultural lands tends to decrease inevitably because it has been converted to other businesses. This study aims to analyze agricultural land conversion in Jogjakarta using econometric models based on economic analysis. Panel data used in this study is compiled from five regions during period of 19 75-2000. Estimation is carried out using panel regression. The results show that agricultural lands decrease as transportation infrastructure increases. Wetland and dry land is convertible as the value of farmer exchange rate and population change. Wetland will be created as the farmer exchange rate increases, and will beconverted as population increases, and vice versa for the case of dry land. Dry land gets more economic and demographical pressure than wetland. As a result, dry land is converted more that wetland.
