Abstract

Teaching reading comprehension to the students is not easy. The teacher often finds a lot of students? learning motivation problems from the students. The students? problems are (1) students? interest, (2) students? effort, (3) self responsibility activity or persistence, (4) students? optimal experiences; (5) reinforcement and teacher's method. One of the efforts to minimize the problems is by empowering the students in the learning process. One of the teaching techniques that can empower learners is Reciprocal Teaching Method. An action research was carried out and aimed at finding out whether Reciprocal teaching can improve the students? learning motivation in reading comprehension in classroom when the teacher applies reciprocal teaching. Two cycles are applied. The data are taken by observing the learning process when an action is applied, by interviewing the learners involved, by giving questionnaires and by conducting interview. The finding of the research shows that Reciprocal Teaching Method can improve the students? learning motivation in reading comprehension when it is applied.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of three different backgrounds of music vocal, instrumental and silent on the verbal and spatial task performance in learning. The samples from Master students of Education in University Putra Malaysia which consisted of 36 students from Faculty of Educational Studies. This experimental research design to test hypothesis the effect of three different backgrounds of music vocal, instrumental and silent on the verbal and spatial task performance in learning. Data was analyse using IBM Statistics where this study used independent sample T-test and two-way analysis variance (ANOVA). The T-test result of analysis show there is differences between vocal condition (t = 1.101, p = 0.172), instrumental condition (t = 2.06, p = 0.018), and silent condition difference (t = 2.712, p = 0.022) on the verbal and spatial task in learning. Two-way ANOVA Task-Music group Greenhouse-Geisserwas reported in the significant level (p 0.05).

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the composition of the material and practice questions in the mathematics curriculum guide 2013 junior class VIII Semester 1 in terms of content and cognitive domain taxonomy based on TIMSS. This study was a content analysis study (content analysis). The results showed that the analysis of the presentation of the material in terms of the proportion of each content domain, domain algebra occupied the highest proportion with a percentage of 50%, the domain geometry with 33.33% while the percentage of domain data and opportunities with a percentage of 16.67% and there are no material including in the domain of numbers. Judging from the cognitive dimensions, applying knowing domain is (68.42%) and knowing is (21.05%) while the reasoning domain has the 10.53% (the lowest). For analytical presentation of questions in terms of the proportion of each dimension of the content, the material has a percentage of 60.64% algebra, geometry material has persetase 32.13% while the material data and the opportunity have a percentage of 7.23%. From the cognitive dimension to training issues were gained 36 reached the level of cognitive domain knowing 16.98%, 114 reached the level of cognitive domain applying  with 53.77% and 62 about already reached a level of cognitive reasoning domain with  29.25% . Test-knowing about the domain, cognitive aspects contained recall is 33.72%, classify / order 24.42%, 23.26% compute, retrieve 11.63% and Recognize 6.98%. For questions on applying domain, cognitive aspects Determine which contained 37.93%, 33.91% and represent implement / model of 28.16%. As for the problems in the domain reasoning, cognitive aspects are contained analyze 36.56%, integrated / synthesize 24.73%, 19.35% justify, Evaluate 11.83%, 5.38% Draw Conclusions and generalize 2.15%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop learning media using power point I Spring Suite 8 which are valid, practical and effective on the concept of the Central and Local Government Systems. The method used is development research with reference to the ADDIE development model which consists of 5 stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The assessment instruments consisted of three, namely (1) validity instruments in the form of validity assessment tools of interactive learning media Power Point Ispring Suite 8 and validity assessment instruments questionnaire, (2) practicality instruments in the form of teacher responses and students' responses to learning media using Power Point Ispring Suite 8, and (3) effectiveness instruments in the form of student learning outcomes. Based on data analysis, obtained an average of media validity is 4.15 (valid). Practicality of the media obtained 93.40% teacher response (very strong) and student responses of 91.40% (very strong). Learning Media has fulfilled the effectiveness criteria, namely 91% of students achieve mastery learning value. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the learning media based on Power Point Ispring Suite 8 on the concept of central and regional government that is developed is valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the development of weblog-based MYOB Accounting learning management at SMK N 1 Sragen. This research is an RD research. The development model used is Hannafin and Peck Model, with the stages of needs analysis, design, development and implementation. Data collection methods include interviews, questionnaires, observations, and documentation. Then the data were analyzed with descriptive analysis techniques, t test and gain test. The findings in this study are the significance value of the t-count using a weblog of 29.136 and the t-count of the lecture method of 15,581. This conclusions that t count weblog is greater than t count lecture, meaning that the effectiveness of the experimental class using the weblog is better than the control class using the lecture method. The results of the study using the N Gain test also obtained the value of the N Gain percent of the control class was 48.98, while the N Gain percent value of the experimental class was 67.33. The conclusion is learning in the experimental class using weblogs is more effective than the control class using the lecture method.
