Abstract

Internet is a global computer network system that is connected using internetprotocol (TCP/IP) to connect devices in computers around the world. Lots ofinformation spread around the internet. Each of the access it can get any information.Under these conditions, it is very dangerous if used with any internet, especially forchildren. Similarly, author fears to children in the Desa Gerbosari, Kulonprogo, DaerahIstimewa Yogyakarta. Therefore, the authors initiated a healthy socialization of theinternet which was held in a community service activity.

SDN 01 Sentono is one of the elementary schools for people in Sentono Village. Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) is important to do to know about  the performanceof the buildings and also to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of theperformance of the building in the shade of the school function.

Abstract

Herbal plant is plant that have been identified and are known by humanobservation has useful compounds to prevent, cure, perform specific biologicalfunctions, to prevent the attack of insects and fungi. With so many benefits that can beobtained from herbs, utilizing the yard area as the land to grow the herbs will bringmany benefits. Herbal plants that do not require large areas for planting will greatlyfacilitate cultivation. In conjunction with Tilik event at 2016, the author initiated asocialization and direct practice home gardens as growing media herbs. With hope, willprovide many benefits for the citizens of Dukuh Jati, Desa Gerposari, Kulon Progo,Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Dusun Klumprit II is a dusun that located in Wukirharjo, Prambanan, District Sleman, Province of Yogyakarta. Dusun Klumprit II is a prosperous dusun with themajority of livelihoods are in agricultural and livestock. The residents’ awareness andconcern to manage the waste by the residents is still very low. The habit of burning thewaste is still ingrained in the dusun to solve the waste problem. Besides, with burningthe waste is considered as the fastest way to handle these problems. Not only that,there are some residents who throw their waste directly into the water bodies withoutthinking about the accumulation of the waste in the downstream water bodies and alsopollution in water body as a result of the waste that they has thrown. It is feared that itwill be imitated by the children of dusun as the successor of the dusun and also fearedthat the environmental carrying capacity will be weakened due to contamination thatoccurred. Such concerns can be reduced by growing the public awareness of theimportance of removing and sorting the waste.The result of the program, the residents begin to understand the importance ofmanaging the waste. Instead it will help to preserve the environment but it can also helpthe economy of the residents with the training of the creations that can be made fromthe waste. As well as the control approaches the waste to children through the activityof making crafts from the waste by their own efforts and hopes their creativity in thefuture can be honed to solve the waste problems and the cadres that cares intoenvironments is born. With the procurement of the trash can, the residents can do thereal actions in the management of waste by sorting both organic and non-organic.

Abstract

Family the first and top learning place for every teenager. Parenting way will affectthe development of teenager's characters. But, not all parents understand how to dealwith teenager correctly, such as parents at Dusun Jati, Kelurahan Gerbosari, KecamatanSamigaluh, Kabupaten Kulon Progo, Provinsi D.I. Yogyakarta. So, they need an educationabout parenting. Based on these circumstances, the authors organized a " Bina KeluargaRemaja (BKR)" as a community service activities. Parents are given educational materialin six sessions, those are definition of teenager, the importance of parents role, theimportance of sex education for teenager, the importance of parental supervision, therole of peers, and the role of parents to help tenageer to recognize himself. The serviceactivities managed to increase the knowledge of parents in tenaager growth fosteringcorrectly and focused, in order to build a quality family.

Abstract

Mapping is needing to help village’s government in order to make decisions which related to the location. Digital Mapping is choosen because the maps would be easy toto be revised and could reach  every changes fastly. Digital maps is created using GoogleEarth, and the file is delivered to the local goverment to be used as well.

Abstract

MCK is a room where someone can shower to cleanse the body. Cleanlinessfamily centered MCK, makes MCK’s cleanliness is really important. MCK in poorhygiene system will invite many germs grow and eventually create risk of germs andliving environment becomes unhealthy. Observations by author at Dukuh Jati, DesaGerbosari, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta found that there are still many people who do notcare about the cleanliness of its MCK. Therefore, the authors took the initiative toprovide education about healthy MCK. With hope, Dukuh Teak be concerned with thecleanliness of its toilets.

Abstract

Every region in Indonesia is rich in cultural diversity, one of them is Bangilun dance of Dusun Jati, Desa Gerbosari, Samigaluh, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta. Villagers triedto keep preserved. Although they had showed up the dance in some big  events inYogyakarta and Jakarta, public still do not know about Bangilun dance because people ofDusun Jati do not know how to promote well. Therefore, the authors intend to helpthem to promote Bangilun dance by by providing training and make a website. As aresult, citizens are able to promote well and get more attention from visitors.

Attitude fond of saving needs to be instilled in children from an early age to avoid the behavior of shoppers. The author tried to instill awareness fond of saving onchildren of Sentono village with variety of interesting wayss named Sentono SavingsProgram. Children are expected to remain consistent saving although the programfinished running.

Abstract

Counterfeit money is an imitation currency that is manufactured without legal approval of government. The manufacture, usage, and distribution of counterfeit moneyis very dangerous for a country economy. Either in the scale of market that have directcontact with society or in a large scale such as inflation. To prevent those, socializationshould be done to each elements of society, including villager. Village that face manyobstacles in accessing information will easily become the target of counterfeit moneycirculation. Therefore, an education about intoduction of counterfeit money and how todistinguish it with real money was proclaimed in a community service activity at DukuhJati, Kulonprogo, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Results of that education is people atDukuh Jati is be more understanding about counterfeit money and can recognise it. Itscirculation is expected to decline continuously.
