Abstract

DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcasting- Terresrial) merupakan sebuah standar terbuka dalam transmisi video digital yang telah diakui secara internasional dikeluarkan oleh ETSI. Pada penelitian ini akan menganalisis pengaruh pemilihan jenis modulasi yang digunakan terhadap performansi layanan DVB-T pada sistem High Altitude Platforms Station (HAPS). HAPS yang dikenal sebagai stratospheric broadband adalah sebuah standar infrastruktur telekomunikasi yang serupa dengan satellite, yang ditempatkan di lapisan stratosfer. HAPS dikembangkan untuk menjalankan layanan serupa satellite dengan biaya yang lebih hemat, waktu perealisasian yang jauh lebih pendek dan memiliki cakupan yang jauh lebih besar dibandingkan dengan infrastuktur terestial saat ini. Kanal HAPS dapat menyediakan hubungan LOS antara platform HAPS dengan user sehingga dapat disimulasikan dengan kanal rician. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, performansi layanan DVB-T pada sistem HAPS dipengaruhi oleh jenis modulasi dan mode kerja yang digunakan, penggunaan modulasi QPSK dengan mode kerja 8K memberikan performansi paling baik, dengan memenuhi nilai BER yang telah ditentukan yaitu lebih kecil dari 10-4

Abstract

This research conducted in PT. Lafarge Cement Indonesia which is one of company whose field in cement production located in western Indonesia region, exact place in Aceh province. The aimed of this research are to know about noise levels in some production areas of PT. Lafarge Cement Indonesia Lhoknga plant and define anticipation actions to the effect of existing noice level based on Hierarchy of Control (HoC). Used method in this research are measuring method with sampling points where measurement conducted if the noise suspected over the threshold limit by conducting noise sampling just onto one or few locations. Sample data obtained then being processed and analized by using statistical method. The result of this research concluded that rice husk processing area, siltstone crusher, cooler and most of power plant area which is in front of condenser 1 and 2, and near to turbin 1 and 2 have LAeq value over than 85 dB so that using hearing protection is a mandatory. Control conduct to the over noise shelf in few areas can be conducted by implementing HoC like elimination, substitution, engineering control (redesigning equipment, servicing and maintaining equipment, isolating equipment, damping and cushioning noise source and installing absorbtive baffles), administrative control (work hours per day limitation and health surveillance program) and using tools for self protection (application of hearing protection with NRR which can cover the noise shelf to workers).

Abstract

Sistem kendali perangkat listrik terutama lampu pada saat ini masih menggunakan kaedah konvensional yaitu masih menggunakan saklar sebagai antarmuka sistem. Teknologi remote merupakan teknologi untuk mempermudah pengguna untuk mengeksekusi perangkat elektronik secara jarak jauh. Akan tetapi teknologi remote yang digunakan saat ini rata-rata masih menggunakan teknologi inframerah. Teknologi inframerah mempunyai beberapa keterbatasan dalam mengirimkan sinyalnya yaitu arah transmisi dan jarak. Berbeda dengan sistem tranmisi radio frekuensi yang dapat dicapai dari segala arah dan mempunyai jarak trasnmisi yang jauh. Dalam tujuan penelitian adalah membangun sistem kendali jarak jauh perangkat listrik terutama lampu menggunakan teknologi radio frekuensi. Sistem dibangun dalam dua sistem yaitu sistem pemancar dan sistem penerima berbasis mikrokontroler dan modul radio frekuensi. Metodelogi pengembangannya dimulai dengan analisa sistem, perancangan alat, pembuatan algoritma program, pengkodean dan pengujian sistem. Penelitian ini menghasilkan prototipe sistem kendali perangkat listrik wireless berbasis Radio Frekuensi.

Abstract

Gunung Leuser National Park Resort Tenggulun since 1998-2008 continues to plunder its standing in the way was converted into oil palm plantations. The area was damaged forest of 2,200 hectares / year. This study aims to protect and maintain the forest as a climate change mitigation efforts. The method to determine the location of the study using purposive sampling with squares method to determine the density of vegetation. Furthermore, the method of calculation of the carbon stocks stored calculated using allometric equations. From the results, the results of total forest biomass Gunung Leuser National Park Resort Tenggulun amounted to 330.998 tons / Ha. While the amount of carbon stored by 165.999 tons / Ha

Abstract

Radicals produced naturally in the body, can cause various diseases when present in large quantities. High levels of free radical compounds showed low antioxidant activity that leads to degeneration of the body cells, metabolic disorder, decreased immune response that trigger the emergence of a variety of degenerative diseases. Need extra antioxidants from outside the body in order to help prevent the adverse effects of free radicals, such as antioxidants derived from plants used as cooking ingredients or food ingredients. There are some herbal plants that are a source of natural antioxidants , which are also used as a spice, such as turmeric (Curcuma domestica), ginger (Zingiber offcinale), nutmeg (Myristica fragrans), paprika (Capsicum annum), lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus), galangal (Alpinia galangal), onion (Allium cepa) and garlic (Allium sativum).

Abstract

Glass as a material in building facades is rarely applied in a large scale, especially in design of office buildings, within Aceh province. Since Aceh is located in the area with dynamic earthquake activities, building design in this area required higher degree of concern in relation to better refrain from earthquake movements. Nowadays, glass technology that could withstand the seismic effects while sustaining seismic loads is available. To bring this new technology into design of office buildings in Aceh, the paper aims to measure the suitability and level of acceptance of the technology among Acehnese people by conducting some methods of cost comparison and cost savings. In this regard, a comparison in dead loads of a sample building with conventional cavity walls against that of high performance glazing system in a façade of the building was performed. The results indicated that the cost for glass technology are twice higher compared with cavity wall. But in the dead loads part, the glass material are 13.8 times more lighter than cavity wall

Abstract

Result of this study shows that two of three of its users around the world, internet is not reachable technology especially in hinterland and remote area.Usage of satellite and optic fiber for internet system in those areas is not affordable. By using Google Loon technology,internet users in the areas can access internet.Google Loon is able to spread accessibility of internet up to 1250 km²(wide) or 40 km diameter), and speed of accessibility reaches 3G(10Mbps)

Abstract

This article explains about sciences, technology its relation to moral values. The existence of sciences and technology seems to be more beneficial for human beings in implementing their activities in their daily life. It is suffice to say that sciences and technology can reduce human involvement in doing something. It can help mankind from working hard. On the one other hand, some people say that sciences and technology will be dangerous for human beings, for examples, nuclear weapons, chemical weapons, tanks, scud, and other sophisticated guns or weapons which are produced by mankind exclusively for massacring and killing enemies----human beings. Therefore, sciences and technology must be controlled by those who have moral values and religious teachings. Those who are behind the sophisticated technology should be inculcated moral values into their heart and mind. Actually, Islam is not against development and modern technology but it supports and facilitates them as long as it is beneficial for human beings. We do not have to put a blame on sciences and technology for the Muslims scholars and Muslims scientists themselves had given sAl-Ghazali, Ibnu Sina, Ibnu Rusyd, Ibnu Khaldun, Al-Tabari, Al-Kindi, Al-Jabeer, Al-Khawarizmi, Ibnu Badjah, Baiquni, Al-Farabi, Al-Razi, Omar Khayam, dan Al-Mas’udi toward modern sciences and particularly to the West (Andalusia). They had been contributing sciences and knowledge to the people both in the East and in the West which were introduced by the kingdom of Bani Abbasiyah and Bani Umayyah. Historically, Islam had been contributing sciences and technology to the Europe for more than five centuries. Unfortunately, when non-Muslims conquered Muslims countries they gave two choices for Muslims---becoming Christians or killed! Most of them were killed and some of them escaped to North Africa and Middle East. All muslims schools and libraries were burned by the conquerors. This was the worst circumstances faced by Muslims in Andalus (Spain), Bosnia Herzegovina, Kossovo, Myanmar and Iraq.
