Abstract

Abstract. Ascribing the attainment of positive peace to the voluntary active participation of the members in organized labor poses a great deal especially in attempting to attain an industrial peace. This research explores the problem of how union citizenship is considered as a furtive spirit of positive peace that can contribute to the development of industrial peace. It embraces a qualitative content analysis’ conventional methodology and process employed on the shared knowledge and experiences of the members of a trade or workers’ union, purposively chosen as respondents. The results presented the various duties and responsibilities of the respondents as union members. It conveyed the concrete expressions of union citizenship of the respondents, using the common behavioral determinants as categories, and the positive peace domains as major themes. It also provided the different possible contributions of union citizenship to the attainment of human development and industrial peace which was considered as an essential facet of nation-building. The results concluded with the call for promoting the union citizenship in any organized labor that will assist the workers and management to continuously work together and act as a catalyst of change to induce positive peace in the workplace and attain industrial peace.Keywords:  Industrial Peace, Organizational Citizenship Behaviors, Positive Peace, Trade union, Union Citizenship.

Abstract

Abstract. Raising global awareness in a sustainable environment intrigued many young designers and environmental activists to create environmentally friendly products. Slow fashion is a new solution to overcome issues caused by fast fashion, which promotes concern about the environment and sustainability of the products proven by materials, process, and disposal of the products. However, there is lack of empirical evidence about strategy development for Slow Fashion brand in Indonesia. This study aims to identify an appropriate strategy for slow fashion brand in Bandung, Indonesia. Bandung is one of the most creative cities in Indonesia, according to UNESCO, and be the main area of the research. Based on the result, researcher can determine several strategies for slow fashion brand in Indonesia. This research used quantitative approach through questionnaire filled during Forum Group Discussion (FGD). In developing the strategies, internal and external factors were carried out from environment scanning and discussion, then analyzed use hybrid methodology of SWOT-AHP.  The result of the study concludes four strategies by considering both internal and external factors overall priority score. This study is important in understanding the most important factors to consider in developing strategies to grow a slow fashion brand in Indonesia. Keywords:  Analytical Hierarchy Process , Slow Fashion, Strategic Planning , SWOT

Abstract

Abstract. This research is aimed to maintain the inventory level in a two-echelon pharmacy company. The company is a pharmacy company that has 16 branches that operate in Bandung and the surrounding area. The company has a problem with its high inventory cost. To solve the problem, the authors compare two methods that suit the company condition, i.e., the decentralized system using probabilistic EOQ model and the centralization system using the multi-echelon inventory technique. We analyzed sales data and on-hand inventory data acquired from the company information system to perform the study. We limit the scope to the class A items only. We also assume the lead time, setup cost, and holding cost used in this study with the company's owner's consent. To conclude, using the decentralized system, the company will save 31% of their inventory cost, while using the centralization system with the multi-echelon technique, the company will be able to save 61% of their inventory cost. We recommend the company to refer to its competitive strategy before deciding which model it would be implemented. Abstract

Abstract. This research examines the impact of personal competencies on individual work performance when performing maintenance activities and examines job specialization, formalization, and centralization as moderator variables. For the analysis, we use questionnaires data from 741 respondents of maintenance officers in the Signalling and Telecommunication Departement at PT KAI (Persero). The results showed that personal competencies significantly affecting individual work performance with a correlation value of 0.001 ( <0.05), and other results related to job Specialization and Centralization as moderator variables demonstrated that these two variables could not be treated as moderators in strengthening the relationship between personal competencies and performance.  The results showed correlation value of 0.847 ( >0.05) and 0. 173 (>0.05), respectively. This research's formalization variable was not used in the hypothesis testing stage as a moderator because it lacked instrument validity. This study recommends that maintenance officers have better individual work performance when management focuses on increasing the personal competencies or focuses on increasing competencies in work fields that require special skills by the scope of work they face.Keywords:  Personal Competencies. Abstract

Abstract. Digital transformation is inevitable for organizations to remain competitive in the current business landscape. In reality, organizations rely heavily on their human capabilities to achieve digital transformation goals. However, most studies have neglected this dynamic component and have focused instead on organizational readiness. This study strives to fill such a research gap by uncovering digital talent capabilities that could accelerate digital transformation. We propose a conceptual model based on a literature review and enriched by qualitative research in a representative Telecommunication Company. The conceptual model highlights attitudes to change as a critical factor in transforming individual capability towards digital transformation. The model also explains how culture and digital literacy can positively relate to digital talents’ attitudes towards change and performance. Besides giving theoretical contributions to support the literature, the study’s outcomes can be utilized by organizations intending to transform their human capitals’ digital capabilities. Although there is still a possibility of real behavior arising from individual problem-solving habits, the paper ends with some recommendations, stressing the need for future empirical work.Keywords:  Attitudes to Change, Culture, Digital Literacy, Digital Talent Capability, Performance

Abstract

Abstract. Mobile payment is generally a payment tool in the form of software available in smartphones to make it easier for its users to make transactions anytime and anywhere his research aims to give empirical evidence of the influence of perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, trust, and security on the interest in the use of mobile payment in Garut University students. We collect questionnaires from 100 students that are selected using the proportionate sampling method. The data is then analyzed using multiple linear regression. The analysis’ results show that both perceived of benefit and security variables partially has a positive effect while the perceived ease of use and trust has an insignificant effect on the interest in using mobile payments. This study provides an essential insight into how academic users in rural areas in Indonesia adopt electronic payment technologies.Keywords:  Perceived ease of use, Perceived of usefulness, Trust, Security, Interests.
