Abstract

This research aims to explore the impact of leadership style and workload on teacher performance through self-efficacy, with an emphasis on efforts to increase self-efficacy as the main motivation. The survey method was used to collect data based on probability sampling from 30 teachers at MTs Darul Falah Sukorejo. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire consisting of a Likert scale with 4 alternative answers. PLS-SEM analysis is used to analyze data and test construction infrastructure and variables measuring problem-solving abilities. The results of the analysis show that the Principal's Leadership on Self-Efficacy (ẞ-0.151; p-0.135) has an insignificant effect. In addition, self-efficacy was proven not to mediate the effect of principal leadership (ẞ-0.034: p-0.221) and workload (ẞ-0.121; p-0.057) on teacher performance. The emphasis of this research is the importance of integrating training that focuses on increasing teacher self-efficacy. The recommendations of this research include providing support for professional development programs, as well as encouraging school principals to adopt a supportive leadership style and provide ongoing support. Thus, this research can become a basis for increasing self-efficacy through a deeper understanding of the influence of leadership style and workload on their performance, making a significant contribution to efforts to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

Given the unique and immersive English language environment at Pondok Pesantren and MA As-Salafiyah Sumber Duko Pameksan , a comparative analysis of student engagement in both formal (classroom-based) and supplemental (extracurricular) English classes becomes essential. This research eventually aims to address the strengths and weaknesses of formal English instruction in fostering language proficiency among students at MA As-Salafiyah is, to what extent students actively engage with the content and teaching methods employed in formal English classes and how students perceive the value and impact of participating in extracurricular language activities. The study employed a qualitative research method with case study analysis., The findings reveal a complex interplay of factors influencing language learning in this context. While formal instruction, grounded in linguistic theory and structured lesson plans, provides a solid foundation, it faces challenges related to time constraints, limited real-world application, and student engagement. Conversely, extracurricular language activities, such as English camps, clubs, and competitions, are highly valued by both students and teachers for their immersive nature, focus on practical communication, and positive impact on motivation and confidence. These activities foster a sense of community among learners and complement formal instruction by providing opportunities for authentic language use and personal growth. The study concludes that a holistic approach that integrates formal instruction with engaging extracurricular activities, supported by adequate resources and a positive learning environment, can optimize language learning outcomes and foster a positive learning experience for students.

Abstract

This research was conducted based on problems that occurred in Indonesia where the form of evaluation to find out student learning outcomes is only based on intellectual intelligence and does not include multiple intelligences as a whole. So that the resulting scores can be said to be invalid by looking at the diverse intelligence backgrounds of students. Therefore, the researcher seeks to provide an overview of the form of the question through this paper. Teachers can use the form of questions according to the diverse intelligence of students with the aim of validly measuring student learning outcomes. This research aims to develop an assessment for learning the Arabic language based on the multiple intelligences initiated by Howard Gardner. This study uses a qualitative approach with desk research type. This research consists of identifying literature sources, collecting data, analyzing data, verifying and interpreting, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that assessing Arabic language learning based on multiple intelligence should not only be done with tests, but also with non-test activities. Because the assessment in the form of tests includes only linguistic and logical-mathematical intelligence, as well as visual-spatial intelligence. As for other intelligences, it is possible to conduct assessments in the form of tests other than tests. Apart from intellectual intelligence, there is also emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence. The scores resulting from the evaluation of these two intelligences are included in the evaluation of students' attitudes.

Abstract

The research objective is to describe the application of the Merdeka curriculum to Islamic religious education subjects at the Nusantara Islamic High School. The research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a phenomenological approach. The research results show that Islamic Religious Education teachers apply Problem-Based Learning strategies and use Audio-Visual learning media. As for learning evaluation, the teacher gives assignments, tests, and remedial. The obstacles to implementing the Merdeka curriculum are that teachers find it difficult to create lesson plans in determining the learning media to be used, there is no update on the use of learning strategies and media and it is difficult to access the internet. Efforts to implement an independent teacher curriculum use aspects of assessing attendance, skills, and activeness. Teachers are also given training in implementing the Merdeka curriculum. The impact of implementing the Merdeka curriculum on Islamic religious learning at Nusantara Islamic High School is that it is easier for students to understand PAI material and students become more active in learning.

Abstract

This systematic literature review examines the use of ArcGIS StoryMaps in the context of high school geography education, with a particular focus on the methods of implementation, the resulting impact, and the benefits derived from their use. ArcGIS StoryMaps provides an innovative platform for the creation of interactive and engaging geographic content, given the increasing influence of digital tools in the educational landscape. The findings of the eleven studies selected from the 290 articles are presented in this review. The studies highlight the ways in which ArcGIS StoryMaps enhances student engagement, spatial thinking, and comprehension of geographic concepts. The tool is compatible with a variety of learning approaches, including project-based, inquiry-based, and case-based learning. Furthermore, it facilitates digital learning environments through immersive and dynamic presentations. The findings indicate that ArcGIS StoryMaps not only facilitates students' comprehension and creative capabilities but also assists educators in enhancing their pedagogical approaches and geographic expertise. However, the limitations of the study, such as the focus on positive effects, may affect the generalizability of the findings. It would be beneficial for future research to address these limitations by examining potential implementation challenges. In conclusion, ArcGIS StoryMaps has the potential to revolutionize geography education by enhancing the learning process in both engagement and efficiency.
