Abstract

AbstractThis study only measured the aspects of knowledge of information technology and knowledge management on the effectiveness of the head of a high schools in Kabupaten Rokan Hilir. This study uses of quantitative approach, the reseach data obtained from school principels direcly by using taste for variable information technology and knowledge management while the variable effectiveness date collection was obstained by using a questionaire. From the results of hypothesis testing variables and variable information technology knowledge management knowledge to the effectiveness of the principal of all the regression coefficient β is positive . This suggests improved independent variables and affect the increase in the dependent variable ( Work Effectiveness principal) , so that the figures obtained : 1 ) Constant value = 45 671 shows a positive value means that when X.1 and X.2 enhanced the effectiveness of the principal increases , 2 ) value b1 = 1,034 indicates a positive value means that when X.1 increased by 1,034 , the effectiveness decreases , 3 ) value b2 = 1,084 is positive , meaning that if X.2 improved sebesra 1084 , then the effectiveness of the principal increases. Results of the study revealed several finding that 1) there is significant influence between technological knowledge information principels of the effectiveness of the principal, 2) there is significant influence between knowledge management principals, 3) both variables greatly affact the effectiviness of the work head schoolKeywords : Knowledge, effectiveness, management of information technology

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to map the selection of sub major’s freshmen Economic Education FKIP Riau University. The determination of this department only after entering into three semesters, students will be divided into accounting concentration and cooperatives, before this division, the research needs to be done to predict the concentration to where they will be placed later, and to find out how the behavior of the students mental accounting. This research is an exploratory study through a survey with descriptive methods (descriptive research). The data used is primary data obtained from semi-structured interview to Economic Education Students. This study took 93 samples of the new students of Economic Education. Based on the results of research and discussion, it was concluded that; 1) most of the students have determined the choice before they are grouped by program of study based on the introduction of accounting; it is based on the consideration that the field of study that they would choose to have a bright career prospects for their future. 2) student financial planning by classifying according to his needs. Financial management of the new students in the economics of education they also apply as they get in the lecture material, which money should actually managed to classify them according to their needs. 3) the formation of behavioral mental accounting in freshman economics education, were more influenced by the character formed from backgrounds of students before they studied accounting in college, during high school they had known accounting and by the many alumni who after finishing in economic education, they can devote their knowledge in various institutions and private companies (non-teachers).Based on these findings, it is recommended to economic education courses to determine the selection of majors in addition to the introductory value based accounting, must also consider the interests and choices of the student as well as the background of his high school education.Keywords: Mapping, mental attitude accounting

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to know and analyze fifth grade students’ competence on number sense in Pekanbaru. Subject in this research were 231 students that 38 students were used as a subject for validation of instruments, and 193 students were a subject for data collection. Survey method was used in this research, and data collection instrumets consist of 15 number sense problems, 10 whole number problems and 5 fraction problems. Data obtained from this research were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The result showed that fifth grade students’ competence on number sense in Pekanbaru was still low with the average 51,57. Students’ competence on fraction was much lower than whole number. Students also got difficulties in solving number sense problems related to recognise the relative effect of operations on numbers.Key word : Number Sense, Whole Number, Fraction.

Abstract

Abstract This decade, the flow of world education system has changed as a result of competition globally. To put Malaysia in line with international education system, integrating creativity in the teaching of science is very important. However , previous studies have shown that critical elements are still not able to fully practice caused by a variety of obstacles and constraints of the education system itself. This concept paper will explore the importance of integrating creativity towards improving student achievement in science. Implementation of the learning process will also be seen in terms of the willingness of teachers , pedagogical skills and attitudes of teachers and students. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to identify and examine the correlation between communication headmaster with teachers performance, correlation between headmaster conflict management styles with teachers performance as well as communication and conflict management styles of headmaster with teachers performance at senior highschool in Tanah Putih Rokan Hilir. This research was conducted throughout senior highschool in Tanah Putih Rokan Hilir Riau. The population in this study are all teachers spread across 5 high schools in Tanah Putih Rokan Hilir Riau with totaling 142 teachers. Samples taken as many as 105 teachers. The instrument used to collect data for all variables by using questionnaire. Validity was tested using Pearson product moment formula. Instrument reliability coefficient calculated using Cronbach alpha. Result of analysis showing that there is is a positive correlation between communication headmaster with teacher performance. Partially, communications headmaster affect 91.6% value of teacher performance, communication headmaster will increase teacher performance. There is a positive correlation between conflict management style of headmaster with teacher performance. Partially, headmaster conflict management affects 87.8% value of teacher performance, headmaster conflict management headmaster will increase teacher performance. There is a positive correlation between headmaster communication and conflict management with the performance of teachers. Headmaster communication and conflict management together affect 93% value of teacher performance.Keywords: Headmaster communication, headmaster conflict management, teachers performance

Abstract

AbstractThis research was aimed to determinethe lesson study implementation to increase pedagogical competence of economics teacher in Kepulauan Meranti Regency. Samples were taken by purposive, namely economics teacher has and has not implement the lesson study in their school.The data was collected through documentation, observation, and interviews, and analyzed through descriptive qualitative. The research findings the implementation of lesson study had a positive impact to increase pedagogical competence of economics teacher. After implementing lesson study, the ability of economics teachers in designing lesson plans increased to either category with score of 91. So also in implementing learning activities in the classroom get score of 90. The impact of the implementation of lesson study for learners found as many as 89.5 percent said learning activities into more active, fun and exciting.Keywords: lesson study implementation, pedagogical competence of economics teacher

Abstract

AbstractEarly childhood education management achievement determines the quality of education services to the kids who they are in the golden age as crucial times in their life, influencing of their next level education process. The aim of this research is to find out the achievement of early childhood education management in Bengkalis district. The research sub-focuses are: 1) curriculum arrangement and application, 2) the human resources utilization, 3) facilities utilization, 4) financial management, and 5) institution network.This is a descriptive qualitative research, located at PAUD Kasih Bunda of Teluk Latak village and PAUD Cahaya Insan Penebal village of Bengkalis district. The data was gained through interview, observation, and document analizing. The informans are manegers, teachers, society man, parents, and nonformal early childhood education controller of Bengkalis district. Then, the collecting data was analized by interpretative approach.The results of this study shows that the curriculum management and application at both PAUD Kasih Bunda and PAUD Cahaya Insan could be categorized good, eventhough parents don’t get contribution in teaching material development. Human resources which consist of the manegers, teachers of both early childhood education institutions are not categorized as academic standard provided. Then, both institutions of early childhood education has equiped faciclities for learning process, but it concerns to the lack of safety, not confortable, and healthy standard for the kids. Administration staff is not profesional yet, so that the financial management is not accuntable and transparancy. And the last found of both institutions have networking to somes small authorities in the villages without programs and written commitments.KeyWords: Early Childhood Education, Controlling

Abstract

Abstract The main purpose of this research was to obtain an overview of the increase in problem solving ability mathematics students who are learning to approach open-ended when compared to conventional learning, student responses to the instructional approach to open-ended undertaken, as well as the activities of students and teachers in the learning approach to open -ended. The design of this study is the experimental design called delayed counter balanced design . In this study, the experimental group gained learning with open-ended approach and gain control group of conventional learning. To get the research data used instrument in the form of mathematical problem solving ability test, students attitudes scale and observation sheet. Subjects were students of SDN 034 Tarai BangunKecamatan TambangKabupaten Kampar with the subject sample were fourth grade students selected by purposive sampling technique. Based on data analysis, found that the increase in mathematical problem-solving ability to get learning with open-ended approach is significantly higher than students who received conventional learning. Students have a positive attitude about learning open-ended. Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan kepemimpinankepala sekolah, iklim sekolah, implementasi Total Quality Management(TQM), kinerja kepala sekolah dalam pengembangan manajemen mutu di Sekolah Unggulan dan Non Unggulan di Provinsi Riau-Indonesia.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitaif dan kuantitaif.Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) Unggulan (15) dan Non Unggulan (15) di Provinsi Riau.Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan pada SMA Unggulan, hanya satu indikator kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang kurang 75% yaitu Penilaian PelaksanaanTugas Bawahan. Sedangkan pada SMA Non Unggulan, ada enam indikator kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang kurang 75%. Pada SMA Unggulan, ada empat indikator iklim sekolah dalam pengembangan manajemen mutu yang lebih besar dari 75%. Sedangkan pada SMA Non Unggulan, semua indikator iklim sekolah dalam pengembangan manajemen mutu kurang dari 75%.Pada SMA Unggulan, ada satu indikator implementasi TQM dalam pengembangan manajemen mutu yang lebih besar dari 75%. Sedangkan pada SMA Non Unggulan, semua indikator implementasi TQM dalam pengembangan manajemen mutu kurang dari 75%.Pada SMA Unggulan, semua indikator kinerja kepala sekolah dalam pengembangan manajemen mutu lebih dari 75%. Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to enhance of students mathematical problem solving ability at Calculus I through application of inquiry learning of albertas model. This research is classroom action research. Subjects were students at Calculus I, amounting to 40 people. Analysis of the data used is the t-test to the data enhancement (N-gain) the ability of mathematical problem solving. The results of this study showed that the average increase (N-gain) the ability of students mathematical problem solving in the first cycle is 0.43 (medium category) and the second cycle is 0.45 (medium category). These results indicate that the application of inquiry learning of albertas model can enhance of students mathematical problem solving ability at Calculus I.
