Abstract

This study of Tiel Aisha Ansari’s Sufi poem entitled Seashell Voice is aimed at knowing themeaning of “ocean” / ”sea” expressed. It is also to know the uniqueness of using the term in aSufi poem. The writer of this essay uses Riffaterre semiotic theory to analyse the meaning of thepoem. This is due to the totality of this theory in interpreting a poem starts at analyzing surfacemeaning to core meaning. The result of analysis on the poem Seashell Voice shows that this poemuses the main signifier “sea” / ”ocean” and “seashell”. The “sea” actually becomes the symbolfor home that is longed so much by the “seashell”. Then the second meaning has been got is thatseashell symbolizes man / human himself. The man is always eager to be with his God that hasbeen symbolized as sea. The conclusion can be got from the study of Seashell Voice poem is thatsea symbolizes God Himself as been written in many Sufi poems. Man that is symbolized withseashell felt far from his God. That’s why he longs very much to go back to his original home,namely God.Keywords : sea, Sufi poem, symbol, God

Abstract

In every research article there is always presented an abstract of scientific paper. It is sometimes poorly written,often lack significant information. This article provides detailed suggestions with examples for writing thebackground, purposes, methods, result findings, and conclusions sections of a structured abstract. The purpose ofthis paper is to find out whether the writers can make a structured abstract and apply the five-move model.Themethod is toanalyze10 research articles of appliedlinguistics articles and 10 social articles.Each participant isanalyzed whetherhe / she has the structured based on a five-move model of each discipline.It is qualitative anddescriptive in nature. The result from applied linguistics corpusshows that only 2 out of ten participants apply thecomplete five-move model. From the social corpusonly one of the total participants applies the model. The rest ofthe participants from both disciplines cannot make a structured abstract, since they do not follow the model. It isexpected that the writers can write a structured abstract in their research articles with the proper five-move structure.Key words: abstract, significant, structured, move

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Regional Expenditure, Gross Regional Product, andInvestment to the Local Revenue in Central Java Province during the period 2008-2012. Thedata used in this study is a secondary data including Regional Expenditure, Gross DomesticProduct, Investment, and Local Revenue from the 35 District / City in Central Java on the period2008-2012. Based on Haussman test, then the data was analysed by Fixed Effect Model (FEM)based on panel data multiple regression analysis method. This research found that theExpenditure has no significant effect to the Local Revenue. Gross Regional Product andInvestment have significant positive effect on the Local Revenue.Keywords: Regional Expenditures, Gross Regional Product, Investment, Local Revenue, FixedEffect Model (FEM, Random Effect Model (REM).

Abstract

Tujuan tulisan ini adalah untuk menganalisa peluang bisnis buah mangrove dalam berbagai produk makanan dan minuman sehat bagi manusia. Untuk mewujudkan tujuan itu, maka dilakukan kajian dokumen dari berbagai jurnal ilmiah dan berita online. Berdasarkan pada hasil kajian diperoleh informasi, bahwa beberapa varian buah mangrove dapat dijadikan makanan dan minuman sehat bagi manusia. Varian yang dimaksud antara lain: jenis Lindur (Burguiera Gymmorrhisa), jenis Api-api (Avicennia Alba), jenis Pedada Sonneratia spp), jenis Nipah (Nypa fructicans), jenis Jeruju (Achantus iliciofolius), jenis Tanjang dan jenis Brayo. Adapun jenis makanan dan minuman yang dihasilkan dari buah mangrove adalah: kue kering: kripik bawang, krupuk, dan nastar; kue basah: bolu, dodol, klepon, onde-onde, pudding, dan kolak nipah dan minuman berupa sirup. Kelebihan dari makanan dan minuman buah ini adalah sebagai obat berbagai macam penyakit, karena kadar serat yang tinggi dan kaya kalori. Kadar kalori dan karbohidrat jenis Lindur, misalnya, justru lebih banyak dibandingkan beras dan jagung. Berbagai jenis makanan dan minuman tersebut merupakan peluang bisnis yang dihasilkan dari buah mangrove. Kata kunci: mangrove, bisnis, kripik, krupuk, bolu, klepon, sirup
