Abstract

Educational administrative services constitute one of the strategic elements in supporting the effectiveness of educational implementation in schools. The quality of administrative services is not only determined by the completeness of documents but also by the quality of services as perceived by service users, including teachers, students, and educational staff. This study aims to examine and analyze the implementation of service quality–based administrative management in improving the effectiveness of educational administrative services at SMK Bina Sejahtera-3, Bogor City. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Research informants were selected using purposive sampling and included the principal, head of administration, administrative staff, Dapodik operator, teachers, and students. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation as well as member checking, while data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis. The results indicate that the implementation of service quality–based administrative management has been fairly effective when viewed through the five dimensions of service quality: tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The tangible dimension is reflected in the availability of adequate and well-planned administrative facilities and infrastructure. The reliability dimension is demonstrated by the accuracy and consistency of administrative data management in accordance with established procedures. The responsiveness dimension is evident in the prompt and appropriate responses of administrative staff in addressing administrative needs. The assurance dimension is realized through the competence and professionalism of administrative personnel, while the empathy dimension is reflected in a friendly attitude, attentiveness, and concern for service users. Overall, the application of service quality–based administrative management contributes positively to improving the effectiveness of educational administrative services at SMK Bina Sejahtera-3, Bogor City.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of library automation based on Senayan Library Management System (SLiMS) 9 Bulian at SMA Negeri 1 Palembang and identify supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. The research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive design to gain an in-depth understanding of the process of implementing the library automation system in the school environment. The research subjects include school principals, library heads, librarians, and students as users. Data collection techniques are carried out through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies, while data analysis is carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the implementation of SLiMS 9 Bulian has included various main library services such as bibliography management, membership management, circulation services, statistical reporting, and collection inventory through the stock taking feature. The implementation of this system is able to improve the efficiency and accuracy of data management, speed up the circulation service process, and make it easier for users to browse collections through the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) facility. In addition to having a positive impact on the effectiveness of library services, the implementation of this system also faces several obstacles, such as the limitation of human resources who have information technology competencies and the need for continuous system maintenance. Therefore, school management support, improving librarian competence, and optimizing the use of technology are important factors in the successful implementation of SLiMS-based library automation in the school environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze human resource management in fostering students' morals towards teachers in educational institutions. The background of this research is based on the importance of character education in building respect for students and the challenges of declining morals due to social and technological developments. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design carried out at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah (MIM) Ngreco, Tegalombo District, Pacitan Regency. The research subjects included school principals, teachers, education staff, students, and parents who were selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation, while data validity was tested through triangulation of sources and techniques, member checks, and trail audits. The results of the study show that human resource management in fostering students' morals is carried out through four main functions, namely planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising. Planning is carried out by integrating moral values in learning tools and religious habituation programs. Organizing is carried out through the division of tasks and collaboration between teachers in character development. The implementation is carried out through the example of teachers, habituation activities, and strengthening religious school culture. Supervision is carried out through continuous evaluation of student behavior and teacher performance in moral development. This study concludes that structured human resource management based on religious values is able to improve students' morals towards teachers and create harmonious relationships in the educational environment. These findings make a theoretical contribution to the development of character-based education management as well as practical implications for educational institutions in designing moral development programs in a systematic and sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze competency-based human resource (HR) planning in educational institutions through a literature review, with a focus on the synchronization between organizational needs and educators' competencies. The method used is a systematic literature review of reputable national and international journal articles published within the last five years that are relevant to the research topic. The findings indicate that competency-based HR planning is a strategic process that emphasizes the alignment between organizational needs and the quality of educators' competencies, which include pedagogical, professional, social, and personal aspects, as well as the ability to adapt to technological developments. The needs of educational organizations for educators' competencies are dynamic, particularly in responding to the demands of digitalization and the improvement of educational quality. The synchronization between organizational needs and educators' competencies is a key factor that must be implemented in an integrated manner through policies, HR management systems, and continuous professional development. However, its implementation still faces various challenges, such as limited resources, competency gaps, and the suboptimal implementation of competency-based HR management systems. Therefore, systematic strategies are required, including strengthening continuous training, leveraging technology, and adopting adaptive and data-driven leadership. In conclusion, integrated and sustainable competency-based HR planning can enhance organizational effectiveness and improve the quality of education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and evaluate the principal's leadership strategies in conflict management at the Hayatuddiyar Islamic Boarding School Pekanbaru, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors. The study employs a descriptive-evaluative qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews with five informants—consisting of the principal, teachers, educational staff, and female students—complemented by observation and documentation. The results indicate that the leadership strategies implemented include strengthening open communication through a "normalizing mandatory reporting" policy, participatory decision-making based on deliberation (musyawarah), and delegation of authority according to standard operating procedures. Furthermore, the principal applies mediation and tabayyun mechanisms, personal approaches, post-conflict evaluation, moral guidance (character building), educational sanctions, and the ishlah process for character restoration. Evaluatively, these strategies are considered effective in resolving conflicts constructively and maintaining justice. The primary supporting factors are stakeholder cooperation and effective communication, while identified inhibitors include miscommunication caused by personal closeness exceeding professional boundaries, protracted conflicts, students' closed character, dishonesty, and external environmental influences. This study concludes that adaptive leadership based on Islamic boarding school values is capable of creating harmonious organizational stability.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of managerial competence with local cultural values in improving teacher performance at MTs Negeri 1 West Lampung. The background of this research is based on the importance of effective educational management that not only relies on formal managerial functions but also incorporates local wisdom as a contextual foundation for leadership. The study aims to explore how managerial competence based on Piil Pesenggiri values is implemented and its implications for teacher performance. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data are collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and educational staff. The findings show that managerial competence integrated with Piil Pesenggiri values is implemented through planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling functions in a systematic and participatory manner. These values shape a collaborative, professional, and humanistic work culture that enhances teacher discipline, responsibility, motivation, and instructional quality. The study also finds that supporting factors include leadership commitment, positive organizational culture, and strong social cohesion, while obstacles arise from coordination issues and varying levels of value internalization among teachers. The conclusion indicates that the integration of managerial competence with local cultural values significantly contributes to improving teacher performance and creates a sustainable and value-based educational environment.
