MIQOT: Jurnal Ilmu-Ilmu Keislaman is a peer reviewed academic journal, established in 1976 as part of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra Medan (see: video), dedicated to the publication of scholarly articles in various branches of Islamic Studies, by which exchanges of ideas as research findings and contemporary issues are facilitated. MIQOT is accredited as an academic journal by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Republic of Indonesia (SK Dirjen Dikti No. 040/P/2014) valid through February 2019. Abstract

Abstrak: Akutnya problem moral adalah penyebab utama yang kemudian menempatkan betapa urgennya penyelenggaraan dan aktualisasi nilai pendidikan akhlak. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk merespon tuntutan agenda konseptual pendidikan akhlak melalui pengkajian ulang secara kritis terhadap khazanah pemikiran Islam klasik karya al-Mâwardî, kitab Âdâb al-Dunyâ wa al-Dîn. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara dokumentasi lalu dianalisis dengan teknik analisis isi (content analysis). Al-Mâwardî menulis kitab Âdâb al-Dunyâ wa al-Dîn ini sebagai refleksi kritis terhadap instabilitas sosial-moral masyarakat pada masa itu. Menurutnya, pendidikan akhlak dapat dilakukan dengan 2 (dua) cara, yaitu pendidikan yang diajarkan orang dewasa (orang tua, guru dan sebagainya) kepada anak sejak masih kecil dan pendidikan yang diajarkan setiap individu kepada dirinya sendiri ketika dewasa, melalui proses pembiasaan/tradisi (muwâda’ah) dan proses penyadaran/latihan yang bersifat dogmatis (riyâdhah wa istishlâh).Abstract: Ethic Education in Ancient Islamic Treasure: An Analysis of  in the Perspective of Al-Mawardi’s Thought. The critical of moral problem is the main concern that boost the importance of the implementation and actualization of the value of ethic education. This paper is an attempt to response to the demand of conceptual agenda of moral education  through a critical reassessement of the treasures of classic Islamic thought in al-Mâwardî’s book Âdâb al-Dunyâ wa al-Dîn.  Data is collected through document which is then analyzed by content analysis technique. The author finds that al-Mâwardî wrote this book as critical reflection of social instability on moral society of his time. According to him, moral education can be applied by two layers of steps, education that taught by adults ( parents, teacher, etc) to children since early childhood and education that taught to each individual to themselves when adult, through a process of habituation and awareness which is more practical though it is dogmatic.Kata Kunci: Al-Mâwardî , pendidikan akhlak, karakter, sejarah Islam klasik

Abstract

Abstrak: Tulisan ini mengungkap perkembangan filsafat Islam di Mesir kontemporer. Dengan menggunakan metode historis, deskriptif, dan analitis, artikel ini membahas aspek kajian yang meliputi akar filsafat Islam, perubahan orientasi filsafat Islam menjadi pemikiran Islam, isu-isu filsafat Islam, tokoh penting, metode dan sistem perkuliahan. Dalam kajian ini penulis menemukan bahwa filsafat Islam berasal dari Yunani melalui proses migrasi orang-orang Yunani ke Mesir. Tidak terlepas dari unsur politik, di abad modern terjadi perubahan orientasi filsafat Islam menjadi pemikiran Islam karena cakupan filsafat meluas ke ranah kajian kalam, tasawuf dan usul fikih. Persoalan yang sedang dihadapi adalah munculnya pemikiran salafi yang tidak memberi peluang untuk memberi interpretasi terhadap nash, bertentangan dengan pemikiran Barat yang terbuka lebar dan liberal dalam pemikiran. Ada tiga metode yang dipakai dalam filsafat Islam dengan mengikuti tokoh penggunanya. Metode kritik analitik Musthafâ ‘Abd al-Râziq, metode komparatif Muhammad Iqbal dan metode historis Ibrâhîm Madkûr.Abstract: The Development of Islamic Philosophy in Modern Egypt. This article deals with the current development of Egyptian Islamic philosophy. Using descriptive and historical methods of analysis, this study discusses the very root of this philosophy in the modern Egypt, its orientation which gradually turns into popular thought, its methods and luminous figures, and current situation amidst the intellectual approaches of Muslim fundamentalists. In the final analysis this study reveals that the Egyptian Islamic philosophy originates from the Greece brought by her migrating people to the land of Pharaoh. It also suffers changing orientation since it deals with Islamic Theology, mistisism, ushûl fiqh. As for its methodological inquiries, modern Islamic philosophy in this country follows either Mustafâ ‘Abd al-Râziq’s method of critical analysis, Muhammad Iqbal’s comparative method or Ibrâhîm Madkûr’s historical analysis.Kata Kunci: filsafat Islam, perkembangan pemikiran, modern, Mesir
