Abstract

The research was conducted to know influence of extruded and fermented soybean pulp in commercial feed on feed conversion, feed cost per gain and income over feed cost. The research use 60 day old chick of broilers which were devided into 4 treatments, that is 1) were given commercial feed without substitution of extruded and fermented soybean pulp (T-0), 2) were given commercial feed with substitution of extruded soybean pulp as much as 5% (T-1), and 3) were given commercial feed with substitution of fermented soybean pulp as much as 5% (T-2). The variables observed is feed conversion, feed cost per gain, and income over feed cost. The result showed that given commercial feed with substitution of extruded and fermented soybean pulp can decrease of feed conversion and feed cost per gain but increase of income over feed cost. Feed conversion is 2.51 (T-0), 2.27 (T-1), and 2.32 (T-2), feed cost per gain Rp. 20.080,- (T-0), Rp. 17.473,33,- (T-1) and Rp. 17.878,50,-/kg (T-2), and Income over feed cost Rp. 4.223,20,- (T-0), Rp. 6.897,85,- (T-1) and Rp. 7.223,15,-/kg (T-2). Research conclusion is substitution of extruded and fermented soybean pulp in commercial feed can decrease of feed conversion and feed cost per gain but increase of income over feed cost.

Abstract

This study aims to determine feasibility of broiler production based on local food with variations in calcium and phosphorus; and knowing difference feasibility of the business it gets. This research was conducted at farmer's cage in Sasi Village, Kefamenanu for 2 months (July-August, 2020). A total of 96 broiler day old chick (DOC) were used in this study. Research was conducted with an experimental method using a completely randomized design consisting of 4 treatments and 4 replications. Each replication consisted of 6 broiler chickens aged 1 day. Parameters observed were body weight, feed cost efficiency, sales price, and business feasibility. Data on body weight, feed cost and selling price of chickens were analyzed by Analysis of Variance (Anova) and Duncan's test, while business feasibility was analyzed by using B / C ratio. The results showed that the highest body weight, feed cost and selling price were found in P3. There is a feed cost efficiency at P3 and P2 compared to P1 and P0 (P <0.05), and highest revenue is at P3. Treatment with 2.0% calcium and 0.5% phosphorus (P3) supplementation be a highest economic feasibility. In addition, variation in treatment provides a significant difference in cost and selling value. Use of local feed of yellow maize and bran with calcium and phosphorus supplementation could reduce costs of broiler production.

Abstract

The coronavirus pandemic has put the world in a state of crisis, both a health crisis and an economic crisis. As a result of this virus, trade between countries is hampered, due to a lockdown (large-scale social restrictions) which results in slow economic growth. Export is one of the international trade activities carried out by Indonesia. The agricultural sector contributes 2.3% of Indonesia's total exports, however, the agricultural sector is a sector that has survived a crisis. Seeing the situation in 2020, which has seen the COVID-19 pandemic in the last few months, it is interesting to observe whether the global crisis caused by COVID-19 has made a significant change in the performance of the export value of Indonesian agricultural products. The data used are monthly data analyzed using multiple linear regression, with the dependent variable being the value of Indonesian agricultural exports, while the independent variables are national gross domestic income, the exchange rate of the rupiah against the United States dollar, the volume of Indonesian exports, the volume of Indonesian agricultural exports, and COVID -19 as a dummy variable. The result is, the variables that have a significant effect on the value of Indonesian agricultural exports are the volume of Indonesian exports and the volume of Indonesian agricultural exports, while other variables do not have a significant effect.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze competitiveness (comparative advantage and competitive advantage) as well as to analyze the impact of government policies on input prices (fertilizer subsidies) and output (basic price of grain) on lowland rice farming income in Biboki Moenleu District, North Central Timor Regency. This research was conducted from July to August 2020. The sample was determined using simple random sampling technique, namely randomly totaling 100 farmers. The types of data used are primary data and secondary data. The data analysis method used is descriptive qualitative method and Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM). Results of the study: 1) Rice farming in Biboki Moenleu District, North Central Timor Regency has a competitive advantage with a Private Cost Ratio (PCR) value of 0.19 and a comparative advantage in a Domestic Resource Cost Ratio (DRCR) of 0.13 so that lowland rice farming is feasible to continue. . 2). The government policy on input-output prices for lowland rice farming in Biboki Moenleu District, North Central Timor Regency has a significant impact on the income of lowland rice farmers at private prices with a Nominal Protection Coefficient on Tradable Output (NPCO) value of 1.13 and a Subsidy Ratio of Producer (SRP) of 0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to see the role of agricultural instructors in the productivity of the Oesoko Village Farmer Group. This research was conducted from June to August. The sampling technique used random techniques with a total sample size of 45 samples. The data analysis methods used are: qualitative descriptive analysis method, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the role of agricultural instructors in the productivity of the Farmer Group in Oesoko Village as an initiator, motivator, mediator, supervisor, facilitator had a significant effect on ɑ = 0.05. The role of agricultural instructors in increasing the productivity of the Farmer Group in Oesoko Vil-lage with an average score of the role of extension personnel was 2.75.
