Abstract

ABSTRACTThe reason for the research that the learning process uses in SMP Negeri 1 Sedayu tends teacher-centered,  students becoming passive and less involved in the learning process, and needed the model of learning that involved students. The objective of the study is to know the effectiveness model of the learning cycle “5E” and STAD to student's mathematics learning outcomes. The population in this study were all students in grade VIII even semester SMP Negeri 1 Sedayu academic year 2015/2016. Technique sampling using a random sample of the class, obtainable class VIII A as experiment class I, class VIII E as experiment class II, and class VIII C as control class. The data collection technique is to use the test. The research instrument is the mathematics result test in the form of a double helix. Instrument test includes validity, distinguishing capacity ad reliability testing. Analysis of the data used is the prerequisite test analysis consist of a normality test and homogeneity test, and the hypothesis test consists of test F and tests Least significant different (LSD). The result on a significant level 5% and df = (2,87) shows (1) there is a different result of the mathematics learning uses the model of learning cycle “5E”, the model of learning STAD, and model of learning conventionally. This is shows with value fcount = 12,1253 > ftable  >  and (2) the results mathematics learning of the students that use the model of learning cycle “5E” better than learning process uses the model of learning STAD and result from mathematics learning of the students that use the model of learning STAD better than learning process uses the model of learning conventionally. This result shows with hypothesis test LSD which is significant level 5% and 87 degrees of freedom is obtained in case I because   rejected, it's mean that   . Abstract

Cooperation of students while following the process of mathematics is still lacking. Using a cooperative learning model with the type of NHT expected to improve cooperation of students in particular on VIII grade student of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Minggir Sleman in odd semester of the academic year 2015/2016. The purpose of this study is to improve cooperation students in learning mathematics using a cooperative learning model with the type of NHT VIII grade of students SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Minggir Sleman in odd semester of the academic year of 2015/2016. The research is classroom action research. The subject of the is VIII grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2Minggir Sleman in odd semester of an academic year of 2015/2016. The object of the research is the cooperation improvement of student's mathematics in learning to use the cooperative learning model with the type of NHT. The study is done in two cycles. Data were collected by using observation sheets, interview sheets and daily tests which had reviewed by supervising lecturer, mathematics teachers, and had been validated by the lecturer expert. An analysis of the data is used was descriptive analysis qualitative. The result showed that the cooperative learning model with the type of NHT can improve the cooperation of students in grade VIII of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Minggir Sleman in odd semester of the academic year 2015/2016. This comes from the observation of student's cooperation on each cycle that had been increased, namely the percentage of student's cooperation cycle I worth 57,29% with criteria of enough, and in cycle II increase to 71 % with the criteria of good.

Abstract

This research was done because there are many students who are less active, less enthusiastic in the learning process and fewer utilization media that the learning outcomes obtained are less optimal. This research aims to determine the influence of the utilization of computer media and visual media toward mathematics learning outcomes of students' grade VII at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan Sleman of even semester in the academic year 2015/2016. This was the control group posttest only. The population in this research were students class VII SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan district Sleman. Samples were taken using random sampling techniques derived from class VII D as an experimental class and class VII E as the control class. The data collection is done with the test method. A testing instrument using validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using analysis prerequisite tests including normality test with the formula Chi-Kuadrat, homogeneity test by test Bartlett, and hypothesis testing with t-test. Based on calculations by the significant level  5% and the degrees of freedom 54, we concluded that: (1) There are differences in learning outcomes of students using computer media and using visual media. This is indicated by the results of the first test of the hypothesis that  2,040  >  = 2,005 (2) learning using computer medial is more effective than learning using visual media. It is shown on the second hypothesis that the test results  2,040 >  = 1,674.

Abstract

The low of mathematics learning outcome is influenced by many factors. Learning independence, learning discipline and numerical ability are some of the factors that may affect the mathematics learning outcomes of students. Therefore, this research was conducted in order to determine whether there is a positive and significant relationship between learning independence, learning discipline and numerical ability with mathematics learning outcomes of students grade VII SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta in even semester of the academic year 2015/2016. The population in this research was all students of class VII SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta in the academic year 2015/2016 consisting of 5 classes with a total of 183 students. Random sampling techniques used to get class samples and collected VII C as a sample that consists of 37 students. Techniques of data collection were conducted by questionnaire to learning independence and learning discipline, being a test method for numerical ability and mathematics learning outcomes. Test instruments used validity and reliability. Prerequisite test analysis using homogeneity, normality test, independent, and linearity test. Hypothesis testing data analysis using simple linear regression analysis and multiple regression analysis and correlation. The results showed that there is a positive and significant correlation among learning independence, learning discipline and numerical ability with mathematics learning outcomes with F count = 12.1486271 > F table = 3.27 multiple correlation coefficient (R) is 0.497054456 and the coefficient determination (R2) is 0.5248098361. While multiple regression equation  = 91.67974362 + 0.2721162468X1 + 0.4013598791X2 + 0.4720896167X3, relatively contribution (X1) = 25.78224833%, the relative contribution (X2) = 36.63257052%, the relative contribution (X3) = 37.58518115% and effective contribution (X1) = 13.53077742%, the effective contribution (X2 ) = 19.22513318% and the effective contribution (X3) = 19.72507261%.

Abstract

The teacher-centered learning process makes the students less active and does not dare to express their opinion. It affects the result of students' mathematics learning. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of cooperative learning model NHT and TPS type compared with the Direct Learning type toward the result of students' mathematics learning. The type of study in this research is experimental research. The population of the research is all students in grade VIII SMP Negeri 2 Sleman in the academic year 2015/2016. The purposive sampling is used as a sampling technique, derived class VIII C as the experimental class I, class VIII D as the experimental class II and class VIII A as the control class. The data collection technique is documentation and tests. The instrument used is the test question of mathematics learning results. The prerequisite test analysis is the normality test and homogeneity test. Data analysis for hypothesis testing uses the F test continued Newman-Keuls Test Range. Research result with a significance level of  and   shows (1) There are differences in mathematics learning outcomes of students using cooperative learning model NHT, SMT type and the type of Learning Direct  and  to  and (2) the results of students learning mathematics using cooperative learning model NHT and TPS type is better than the results of students' mathematics learning that uses the type of Direct Learning. Abstract

Results of low mathematics associated with many factors. Numerical ability, students learning interest, and attention of parents are several factors that allegedly associated with students’ mathematics learning outcomes. This research has to determine whether or not a positive and significant relationship between Numerical Ability, Students Learning Interest, and Attention of Parents with Math Students Learning Outcomes in Even Semester of an eighth-grade student SMP Negeri 1 Batur Banjarnegara Academic Year of 2015/2016. The population in this research were all student of class VIII in even semester in SMP Negeri 1 Batur academic year 2015/2016 with the total number of 82 students in 4 class. Function random sampling technique to class to take a sample class, as a sample class was class VIII D. Data collection techniques done with test method and the questionnaire method. The instruments test used the test of validity, different power, and reliability testing. Test requirements analysis used normality test, independent, and the linearity test. Analysis of data used linear regression analysis and correlation analysis. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between the ability of numerical, students learning interest, and attention of parents with math learning outcomes with  and , in order to obtain  . Abstract

Learning mathematics in schools is still considered difficult and less enjoyable by the student. It needs to develop media that can support the learning of mathematics in schools. This study aims to plan, create and determine the feasibility study of the mathematics learning media of integral application to calculate the volume of solid of revolution subject. This research used the Research and Development (R & D) method. The step taken is a preliminary study, media development, validation by subject matter experts and media experts as well as due diligence by the user to obtain the final product in the form of media that is packaged with a CD. Collecting data used interview techniques, documents, and questionnaires. The instruments used in the data collection questionnaire tested by means of qualitative analysis. A data-processing technique used is quantitative descriptive. The results of this study in the form of media are packaged with a CD (Compact Disc). Stage of development of media produced is (1) a preliminary study; (2) development includes the study of the criteria of competence, media creation and validation by media experts and subject experts; (3) feasibility test of teaching media. To determine the feasibility of the media the test done in two stages. The result of phase I is 88.38% and phase II is 81.17%. The data-processing of the trial is concluded that instructional media created with the category of very suitable.

Abstract

Therefore, this study was conducted in order to determine whether or not a positive and significant between the relationship of learning discipline, parental attention, and learning motivation with mathematics learning outcomes of students in the VIII class of MTs Negeri Sumberagung Bantul in the even semester in Academic Year of 2015/2016. The population of this research was all students of class VIII MTs Negeri Sumberagung Bantul in the even semester of the academic year 2015/2016 consisting of 5 classes with the total number of 153 students. As a sample class was class VIII B consisting of 30 students by random sampling technique to the class. The data collection technique was performed by a method of testing and questionnaires. The test method used collection data on mathematics learning outcomes of students, whereas the questionnaire method used collection data learning discipline, parental attention, and learning motivation. Test data analysis requirements using the test for normality, independent, and the test for linearity. Data analysis for hypothesis testing using correlation analysis and linear regression analysis. The research result showed that there was a significant positive correlation between learning discipline, parental attention, and learning motivation with Fcount = 11,58570847 and Ftable = 2,98 in order to obtain Fcount > Ftable. Multiple correlation coefficient (R) of 0,7563508799 with a regression equation  with a coefficient of determination  was (R2) 0,5720666536 and effective contribution X1 = 18,786%, X2= 15,582% and X3 =6,216%.

The lack of seriousness and independence of learning, reasoning ability is still low, and not all families have an adequate learning environment and conducive are several factors that may affect learning. Therefore, this study was conducted in order to determine whether or not a positive and significant between the relationship among learning independence, reasoning ability and learning environment at home with students mathematics learning outcomes in class XI TKJ of even semester in SMK Negeri 1 Pleret Bantul Regency at Academic Year 2015/2016. The population of this research was all students of class XI TKJ of even semester in SMK Negeri 1 Pleret Bantul in the academic year 2015/2016 consisting of 2 classes. As a sample class was class XI TKJ B by random sampling technique to the class. The data collection technique was performed by a method of testing and questionnaires. The questionnaire method used collection data learning independence and learning environment at home, as well as the test method used collection data on reasoning ability and mathematics learning the result of the student. Test data analysis requirements using the test for normality, independent, and the test for linearity. Data analysis for hypothesis testing using correlation analysis and linear regression analysis. Abstract

Students’ motivation in Mathematics that is considered low and students’ anxiety level are expected to influence the students’ learning outcome. This research aims to discover whether there are effects or not towards the Mathematics’ learning outcome between the high-motivated students in studying or the low ones and high anxiety level or low towards the students of the 8th grade of the whole junior high schools in Kalasan sub-district, Sleman, Academic Year 2014/2015. The population in this research involves all students of the 8th grade in Kalasan sub-district, Sleman, Academic Year 2014/2015 consisting of 20 classes whose students are 637. Samples in all schools were taken by using the Random Sampling technique towards classes in every school. The result is 3 classes, SMPN 1 Kalasan 8th C grade, SMPN 2 Kalasan 8th D grade, and SMPN 4 Kalasan 8th B grade as the experiment class whose students are 97. The collecting method used was a questionnaire for motivation and students’ anxiety level, and also the students’ learning outcome test method in Mathematics. The data analysis used two-way variance 2 x 2 with different cells and post ANOVA. The result of this research shows (1) The existence of study motivation’s significant effect towards the Mathematics’ learning outcome of students of SMPN 8th grade for the whole Kalasan sub-district, Sleman, Academic Year 2014/2015 of Even Semester obtained tcount > ttable = 9,48967 > 1,661 at significance level of 5%. (2) The existence of significant influence of students’ anxiety level towards the Mathematics’ learning outcome of the students in SMPN 8th grade in all Kalasan sub-district, Sleman, Academic Year 2015/2015, Even Semester obtained tcount > ttable is -10,25663 < 1, 661 at significance level of 5%. (3) The absence of mutual influence between learning motivation and students’ anxiety level on the Math’s learning outcome of the students in SMPN 8th grade in all Kalasan sub-district, Sleman, Academic Year 2015/2015, Even Semester obtained fcount < ftable is 0,91 < 3,956 at significance of level 5%.
