Abstract

The use of less effective learning models causes students less active when learning in the classroom so that student learning outcomes are low. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of cooperative learning model type think pair share towards the outcome of grade VII students' mathematic subject at State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 2 Srandakan, Bantul 2nd semester of the academic year 2017/2018. This is quantitative research with the population of students grades VII in SMP Negeri 2 Srandakan, Bantul, of the academic year 2017/2018 consists of 6 classes. The sample was selected through random sampling. It was chosen that class VII B as an experiment class and class VII B as a controlling class. The method of data collection is by applying tests and documentation. The research instrument employed in this study is a multiple-choice question. The testing instruments used in this research are the validity test, differencing test, and reliability test. The data analysis methods used for the prerequisite test are normality testing, homogeneity test, and hypothetical test through t-test. According to the result of t-test from both sides, it was found out that =2,00932 and  = 2,00862 in which > . There was a difference in students' outcome using cooperative learning model of type think pair share, with the outcome of students learning by using direct learning model in class VII SMP Negeri 2 Srandakan, 2nd semester of the academic year 2017/2018. Also, based on the t-test of one side, it was found out that  = 2,00932 and  = 1,67592 in which  >  defined as the cooperative learning model of type think pair share is way more effective than direct learning model to the outcome of learning the mathematic subject of students in grade VII SMP Negeri 2 Srandakan, in the 2nd semester of the academic year 2017/2018.

Abstract

This study is based on students' mathematics and low readiness study's poor learning outcome, and parents' lack of attention. Inadequate learning readiness involving students still depends on the teacher's instruction. Students feel embarrassed and afraid to ask when the learning and the parents still assume that education and attention to the child are the school's responsibility. This study aims to determine whether or not a positive and significant relationship between the readiness of learning and parents' attention with the results of learning mathematics students VII State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 3 Wates Kulon Progo District Year 2017/2018. Abstract

Teachers are required to innovate in the learning process, which is a determinant of students' ability to understand the classroom materials. One of the innovations is to make learning media, but in reality, the availability of available media is still limited. The research aims to design, create, and describe whether or not e-learning based mathematics learning media use moodle on triangle material for grade VII students. This research is focused on the development of mathematics learning media, which is packaged in internet form. This development research using the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). His research subjects are material experts, media experts, and students response of Junior High School (SMP) 1 Muhammadiyah Prambanan and SMP Muhammadiyah 17 Prambanan Klaten. Data collection techniques used interviews, questionnaires, and observations. The research instruments used are observation guides, interview guides, and questionnaires to assess the learning media that has been developed. The data analysis technique uses qualitative. This research has succeeded in developing math learning media that have excellent quality (SB). The average score of expert material assessment 74.3333, and the average score of media expert assessment results was 113.33. While the student response score 83.043 with scores on small class trials and large class trials. So the average score of idealization is 270,706 from the ideal maximum score of 315. Based on these assessments, this math learning media is worthed to be used as a learning resource.

Abstract

This research is motivated by students' low numerical ability as a personal factor of students. Numerical ability and peers are suspected to be associated with poor student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the presence or absence of a significant positive correlation between numerical skills and peers with learning outcomes in the eighth-grade student of Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah Bligo Pekalongan in the academic year of 2017/2018. This study was classified as a quantitative study. This study's population was all eighth-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah Bligo Pekalongan in 2017/2018, consisting of two classes with 42 students. Samples were taken by random sampling technique to the class and obtained the class VIIIA as a sample class with 21 students. Collection data techniques used questionnaires and test techniques. The testing instrument used validity and reliability. The prerequisite analysis test used the normality test, linearity, and independent test. Data analysis test for hypothesis testing using regression analysis and correlation analysis. Abstract

A learning model that focuses on the teacher resulted in the students more passive in following the teaching and learning activities, especially math lessons, so that teaching and learning activities are still less satisfactory. This affects students' mathematics learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on grade VIII students' mathematics learning outcomes. This study's population is the students of class VIII Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah Pleret 2016 school year consisting of 4 classes. The sampling technique used the purposive sampling technique and obtained class VIII D as experiment class and class VIII C as control class. The method of collecting data is done by the test method. The data analysis technique uses a prerequisite analysis test, including normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis tests. The research results obtained that (1) there are differences in learning outcomes between learning mathematics using Problem Based Learning model learning with Direct Learning model. This is based on the two-party hypothesis test obtained and   with 5% significant level and degrees of freedom, respectively , and , which means , so H0 is accepted, and H1 is rejected. (2) Learning mathematics using Problem Based Learning model is more influential than the Direct Learning model toward the mathematics learning result of the VIII student of SMP Muhammadiyah Pleret of the academic year 2016/2017. This is indicated by a one-sided hypothesis test obtained  and  with a significant level of 5% and degrees of freedom, respectively  and  which means  so H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected
