Abstract

Multimedia technology has changed rapidly. How to get a small audio file with the high quality that still equal to the real quality is became the common issue in the sound compression world. Because the human ears can't hear all of sound component, it's allowed to compress an audio data using lossy method. A new lossy method to compress an audio data is Ogg Vorbis. This method has its own psychoacoustic model that made this method has the better sound quality if compared to the popular codec Mp3.

Abstract

Column calculation on frame system is a long and iterative process. This program is used to calculate column on general aspects, these aspects are slender, biaxial, braced frame and sway frame. This program uses Borland Delphi 7.0 language. Data input consists of material data (fy, f�c), load data (Pu, M1bx, M2bx, M2sx, M1by, M2byand M2sy), column data (b, h and L) and beam data(bb, hband Lb). The gained result is the table that contains output data of calculation, that is slender limit, k.Lu/r, ψA, ψB, k, δB, δS, Mc, As, As/Ag, β, Pn pl, Pn ada, Mn pl, Mn adafor axe x and axe y. For validation, output of calculation can be compared between manual and program calculation. The results of comparison are the biggest error percentage 0,0054% and smallest error percentage 0% (not difference). This is because in manual calculation there is always rounding every step, while in the computer calculation rounding is done at the end of process. Performance of the program is proper and satisfying to be used in short time and accurate.

Abstract

SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) is a multiplexing system based on TDM (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) that is a frame is divided in to timeslot (path) and contains payload and overhead, which enable to transmit various different services and different bit rate in the same frame. The application of synchronous multiplexing of SDH Network becomes an interface for various telecommunication signal processing.

Abstract

Rainfall is the most important input component in the hydrologic process. Rainfall characteristic, which are intensity, duration, depth, and frequency. Intensity that is related to duration and frequency can be expressed by Intensity-Duration-Frequency (IDF) curve. IDF curve can be used to calculate floods design using by rational method. The objective of the research is to create IDF curve on flood prone area on Banjarnegara regency. In this study, daily rainfall depth was calculated by frequency analysis, which was started by determining the daily maximum mean rainfall, followed by calculated statistical parameter to choose the best distribution. Intensity could be calculated by Mononobe method. The result of this study indicated that the Log Normal distribution fit to most of data. The rainfall design for time periods 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50 and 100 year are 116.3, 131.5, 140.2, 144.8, 147.8, 150.1, 151.9, 154.8, 156.9, dan 163.3 mm. The highly intensity of ranfall must be happen on short duration, but the lowly intensity of ranfall must be happen on long duration.

Abstract

This research was aimed to know the addition of alumunium fiber influence to the impact resistance of lightweight concrete. In this research, lightweight concrete was made from cement, water, sand, ALWA (Artificial Lightweight Aggregate) and Superplasticizer, mix design method was Dreux-Corrise Method. The speciment was plate with 20 cm diameter and 4 cm high. Variation of alumunium fiber addition was 0%, 0,35%, 0,75% and 1% cement weight. The test was done after 28 days age of speciment. The result showed that the most significant increasing of impact resistance was obtained on 0,75% alumunium fiber addition, which was 250% for first crack and 300% for failure

Abstract

The aim of this research is to study behavior of single free-end pile under lateral loads due to various of diameters and distance load from ground surface in cohesion less soil. The research was conducted through experimental in laboratory. Three various of diameters are: 1cm, 1.25cm and 1.5cm are used, and five various of distance load from ground surface are: 15cm, 17.5cm, 20cm, 22.5cm and 25cm. The value of ultimate lateral capacity (Pu) is determined by using interpretation method and compared to Brom's analysis method. The result of this this research is that value of the lateral capacity will increase with increasing of diameters, but it will decrease while distance load from ground surface increase.
