Abstract

HTB (Hierarchical Token Bucket) bandwidth management implementation on Jenderal Soedirman University is an improvement from PCQ (Per Connection Queue) bandwidth management. PCQ divide traffic automatically based on active users, its weakness is in dividing a large amount of active users. The HTB impelentation refers to Mikrotik RouterOS queue tree, consists of class and parent that is filled by outgoing-interface. Each parent is adjusted based on IP adress block on each node, and determine packet-mark through IP-firewall-mangle. From the implementation result, 2 Global-total or main parent can be obtained, Unsoed down and Unsoed up. 29 Global-in or parent child down and 29 Global-out or parent child up which each parent max-limit is determined by 17,5 Mbps. The users satisfaction based independent sample t-test give the mean value of HTB browsing is 2,823 and PCQ browsing is 2,79. The mean value of HTB downloading is 2,616 and PCQ downloading is 2,636. Those values show that theres no significant differences in Unsoed internet users satisfaction.Keywords : Implementation of bandwidth, Mikrotik RouterOS, queue, parent.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi saat ini memungkinkan untuk menggabungkan layanan telepon suara pada jaringan internet melalui teknologi Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). Pada sistem sistem VoIP diperlukan sebuah server IP PBX yang bertindak selaku sentral telepon. Penggabungan layanan ini membuka peluang aplikasi pada skala kecil. Dengan semakin banyaknya sistem on chip (SoC) yang dikembangkan, maka pembangunan server IP PBX yang murah menjadi sangat mungkin. Pada makalah ini akan dibahas bagaimana unjutk kerja Cubieboard (sebuah komputer mini dengan SoC) sebagai sebuah IP PBX dengan menggunakan OS Cubian dan perangkat lunak asterisk. Pengujian dilakukan dengan mengukur parameter delay, jitter, packet loss, CPU usage, memory usage serta parameter subyektif MOS. Dari hasil percobaan berturut-turut hasil yang diperoleh untuk setiap parameter tersebut adalah 0,9022 ms, 0,128 ms, 0,02%, 4,6%, 1,725%, dan 5.Kata kunci: cubieboard, asterisk, VoIP QOS.

Abstract

Handwriting number recognition was being challenge problem to do in the recent years. The main objective for our research waso recognized handwritten account number. The original data was bank deposit slip that acquired by scanner. Before do the recognition of account number handwritten, first step that must be done was located account number on the bank deposit slip. After the location was found then the account number was segmented to cut up each numbern. After cutting the stem then performed feature extraction to obtain a vector which was fed to the neural network system for recognition rate. System back propagation neural network for handwritten digit pattern recognition was designed by 168neuron consists of input layer, 70 neurons in the hidden layer and 10 neurons in the output layer. The results obtained in this study were 83.78% of the data slip can be recognized correctly.

Abstract

UNSOED has LAN connection which covers almost all of its units, with minimum bandwidth consupmtionat anaverage of275,318 Kbpsfrom a total of 3 Mbpsso we may apply VoIP system in order to replace voice communication system whichis still using PSTN and PABX. Thereforewe need to know aboutjitter and packet loss ofLAN,and also the codec needs tobedetermined due to voice quality expected and also bandwidth consumpted. Measurementscarried out in two scenariosbased on topologies used in UNSOED (star and ring), in the first scenario (star and ring)server placed on serverfarm meanwhile the second scenario(ring) server placed on Pertanian node. Codec adjusted to the available bandwidth capacity and total of phone number that has to handled. The result show that 0,759 ms jitter obtained from scenario 1 and 0,513ms from scenario 2, both of them included in good category with 0-20 ms of range value, otherwise 0% of packetloss obtained from both scenarios these indicated that LANincluded in good category. There is iLBCcodec with 30 ms packet size which is the mosteconomic on bandwidthcost among G.729, G.711, and iLBC (20 ms), because it cost1995,84Kbpsof total bandwidth usedforhandling 140 phone number. Beside that, it has good voice quality with 4,138996 MOS value. So if we use iLBC (30 ms) codec on the VoIPsystem, there will be still a lot of free bandwidth which can used for other applications, it is about 695,873 Kbps(worst condition) and also get a good-voice quality-VoIP.

Abstract

Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (UNSOED) memiliki jaringan lokal yang dapat diimplementasikan untuk sistem telekomunikasi berbasis VoIP. Dalam pengimplentasian VoIP, codec yang digunakan sangat berpengaruh terhadap kualitas suara yang dihasilkan. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh codec terhadap unjuk kerja VoIP pada jaringan lokal UNSOED maka perlu dilakukan penelitian terhadap parameter-parameter QoS yaitu delay, jitter, packet loss, MOS (Mean Opinion Score) dan bandwitdh. Pengujian ini dilakukan terhadap lima codec yang berbeda yaitu u-Law, a-Law, iLBC, GSM, dan speex. Dari hasil pengujian untuk kelima codec tersebut memiliki nilai yang berbeda-beda dan termasuk dalam kategori baik jika dibandingkan dengan nilai standar.   Kata kunci: VoIP, unjuk kerja VoIP, codec VoIP

Abstract

Recently, the development of data in the digital world has produced new challenges. The challenge is increasing number and complexity of data and variations in data (structured and unstructured). Conventional database management system (RDBMS) is not able to answer these challenges effectively because in RDBMS uses a related structured table approach to store information. Currently present, a database management system called NoSQL. This NoSQL system was introduced to provide quick scalability (amount and complexity) and unstructured data. In this study, we present the performance analysis of RDBMS and NoSQL database management systems in the case of increasing the number of data. We use the simple php page to test database systems, experiments are done with use four data sets of different sizes from academic information systems. The database NoSQL approach is used by Redis and the SQL database approach is used by MySQL. The results show that the noSql database has a execution time better than the MySQL database, there is an increase in the speed of the execution time by 87.58% in the create operation, 85.53% in the update operation, and in the delete operation by 86.40% and while in the read operation the increase in execution time speed is obtained by 57.09%, so that on average the Redis database has a show work better than the MySQL database at 79.15%..Keywords : MySql Database, Redis Database, PHP Programming AbstrakBaru-baru ini, perkembangan data di dunia digital telah menghasilkan tantangan baru. Tantangannya adalah meningkatnya jumlah dan kompleksitas data dan variasi data (terstruktur dan tidak terstruktur). Sistem manajemen basis data konvensional (RDBMS) tidak dapat menjawab tantangan ini secara efektif karena dalam hal ini RDBMS menggunakan pendekatan tabel terstruktur sebagai konsep dalam menyimpan informasi. Saat ini, telah hadir sistem manajemen basis data yang disebut NoSQL, Sistem NoSQL memiliki kemampuan menangani data yang tidak terstruktur yang jumlah dan kompleksitas terus meningkat. Dalam penelitian ini, kami menyajikan hasil analisis perbandingan unjuk kerja Sistem Manajemen Basis Data konvensional (RDBMS) dengan NoSQL pada kemampuannya dalam menangani pertumbuhan data yang terus meningkat. Metode yang digunakan dalam melakukan analisis perbandingan unjuk kerja RDBMS dengan NoSQL adalah waktu eksekusi yang dibutuhkan untuk melakukan operasi dasar pada sistem basis data yaitu create, read, delete dan update. RDMBS yang digunakan pada penelitian kali ini adalah MySQL sedangkan pada sistem NoSQL digunakan oleh Redis Database. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Redis Database memiliki waktu eksekusi yang lebih baik daripada MySQL Database, terdapat peningkatan kecepatan waktu eksekusi tersebut sebesar 87.58% pada operasi create, 85.53% pada operasi update, dan pada operasi delete sebesar 86.40% dan sedangkan pada operasi read penigkatan kecepatan waktu eksekusi yang diperoleh sebesar 57.09%, sehingga secara rata-rata database Redis memiliki unjuk kerja yang lebih baik dari database MySQL yaitu sebesar 79.15%.Kata Kunci : MySql Database, Redis Database, Pemgoramaman PHP

Abstract

Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Hibrida (PLTH) energi terbarukan merupakan alternatif penyediaan tenaga listrik di daerah. Salah satu permasalahan pada PLTH adalah tidak terpantaunya pengoperasian pembangkit secara kontinu dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini menyajikan prototipe sistem monitoring nirkabel baterai dan beban pada PLTH surya – angin berbasis website yang mampu memantau secara remote kinerja PLTH. Rancangan perangkat keras sistem monitoring meliputi : perangkat wireless node pemantauan baterai, perangkat wireless node pemantauan beban dan perangkat pusat pamantauan. Besaran energi listrik pada baterai dan beban meliputi : tegangan, arus, daya, frekuensi, dan faktor daya diukur dan diproses pada node pemantauan untuk dikirimkan ke pusat pemantauan secara nirkabel melalui wireless tranceiver menggunakan protokol komunikasi 802.11 b/g/n. Pengiriman data hasil pemantauan ke jaringan internet dilakukan oleh pusat pemantauan melalui sebuah modem GSM. Rancangan prototipe sistem monitoring yang diusulkan diimplementasikan pada skala laboratorium dengan menggunakan DC power supply (battery charger) sebagai sumber arus DC, baterai nominal 2x12V dan inverter 1 kW. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa keseluruhan perangkat node monitor dan sentral monitor dapat bekerja dengan baik.

Abstract

The application of shunt capacitor is an alternative solution in improving power factor on electrical installations, so the use of electric energy become more efficient. Here we hope that capacitor will give both technical and economical benefit from decreasing power consumption and electric bill. Contributions of installing shunt capacitor to active power consumption on residential installation, which one of electrical bill has been studied.Based on experimental using 2-14 F capacitors on installation model with inductive load show that shunt capacitors decrease total apparent power (VA) up to 58% dependent of its original power factor, but increase active power consumption (up to10 W). From this, installing shunt capacitors will increase cost of kWh that consumer must paid. Application of shunt capacitors will give any benefits to residential consumer in case releasing power capacity installed.Key word: capacitor, shunt, active power, consumption

Abstract

Data transfer speed on GPRS’s technology isaffected by the present of some obstacles between sender’s side and recipient’s side. Those obstacles cause propagation loss that affect the reduction of power level value (rx level). The reduction will affect the data speed. The lower rx level’s value means the lower dataspeed. This researchwas done by doing drive test on BTS North Purwokerto and BTS Tambaksogra to measure the amount of power measured (Pr) andthe download data speed on GPRS’s network. The measuredpower level (Pr) was normalized to get rx level value. Regression analysis was done to get the relation between the download speed and the rx level value. Theanalysis has resulted in a model: download speed = 4.1 (rx level) 0.459 , with R^2 = 0.380. Correlation analysis shows high correlationbetween rx level and download speed (r = 0.608).

Abstract

Jenderal Soedirman University (UNSOED) LAN covers all of its units that spread not only in Purwokerto area, but also in Purbalingga. Therefore, it may be possible to implement VoIP system in order to replace the internal campus voice telecommunication system that still use PSTN and PABX (line extensions). The Implementation of VoIP technology into UNSOED LAN needs a VoIP server prototype to be built for quality testing. VoIP quality of service (QoS) is based on delay, jitter, and packet loss. These parameters will be used as QoS test parameters in this research. We also add subjective test runs by users to measure the voice quality of VoIP. According to Ridwan (2011), the optimum codec that can be applied in UNSOED LAN is iLBC. Our research result shows that the highest mean for delay, jitter, packet loss respectively are 3 milliseconds, 19,333 milliseconds, 1%, and the voice quality is good . These indicated that the VoIP QoS and voice quality on UNSOED LAN is in a good category.
