Abstract

Problem solving skills are something essential to achieve success in various activities in everyday life. To train students’ intellectual to have them problem solving skills, the students are given the opportunity to explain the answer with its own language. Beside that they should be given the opportunity to behave as an expert and should be given the emphasis on qualitative issues as well. One of forms in training problem solving skills is by problem solving tasks. The results of research showed that the level of student mastery of problem solving tasks is good category, while the average level of student mastery of math concepts is medium category. Large contribution from the mastery of problem solving tasks of mastering math concepts at 82.9%. This shows that the mastery of problem solving tasks can contribute to student mastery of math concepts. Based on the coefficient of determination can be stated that the level of mastery of problem solving tasks can be used as a reference in predicting students' mastery of math concepts.

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the condition of infrastructure facilitiesof basic education based on the standard of school facilities and infrastructure/public madrasah (Permendiknas no. 24 2007). The results illustrate that the vast majority of school buildingsare in accordance with the standards established. Classrooms a splaces of teaching and learning in most primary schools have been very adequate. Only still found some schools that do not have the staff room, principal room, UKS space, prayer room, and werehouse representative in order to support teaching and learning activities. But still there are schools that less attention and support facilities not regularly carry out maintenance of the building. For schools that are in the main street, still unable to overcome the noise caused by traffic so that it can interfere with teaching and learning activities. The existence of the school adjacent to the crowd as the market also require attention to reduce the disruption of teaching and learning activities.

Abstract

This research aims to develop instructional media products with the computer based instructions  in Physics Optical subject matter for S1 Electrical Engineering students, know the difference learning outcomes between students who use instructional media and students who do not use instructional media, and to study the response of students to instructional media with computer based instructions. The research was conducted in two stages: 1) preliminary research stage,   research and development which is carried out to develop an interactive instructional media products for Optical Physics. 2) Further research using action research class method, the steps using the model of Lewin. The research consisted of four cycles, in which researcher as a teacher as well as research instruments. The results showed that the instructional media products that are developed enough to attract students which is indicated from the increase of learning outcomes and positive response from students.

Abstract

Basic Competency in Vocational subjects in Mechanical Engineering, vocational students have always faced the problems associated with engineering science to be done to establish the expected curriculum vocational competence. One solution that is considered suitable to solve the problem is the application of problem based learning, problem-solving method based discussion group. With the implementation of the model is expected to improve learning outcomes and student activities. The research method is a method of Classroom Action Research. The results showed that the application of problem based learning-based discussion group can improve student learning outcomes in the cognitive domain of the N-Gain 0.71 in the high category. The average value of 82.12 in the affective domain of the positive category and the average value of 90.9 in the psychomotor domain of very good category, while the average value of student activities at the low category.

Abstract

The title of the research is “The Model of Entrepreneurship Training for Automotive Vocational Skills”.The approach of this research is research and development, in which the main approach is qualitative that is complemented with the quantitative approach in order to obtain the preliminary exploration data. The instruments of research are questionnaire, interview, observation and test. The findings of research indicate as in the follow:The causes of the juvenile dropped out of school are the factors of the: (a) juvenile psychological, (b) economic of family, and (c) environment where they live. The development of conceptual model to solve the problems of juvenile dropped out of school can be designed by using the approach of  needs assessment analysis for training. The activities are required in the development of conceptual model are: (a) recruitment of trainee candidates, (b) determination the hypothesis of competency, (c) scheduling, (d) facilities and area/(building for training), and (d) implementation and program evaluation.The empirical model was developed based on the conceptual model through the validation, analysis, and shared agreement among the researcher, community learning centre (PKBM), university, entrepreneurs and training specialists.The finding of try-out and implementation of empirical model of entrepreneurship training for automotive vocational skills indicated the availability aim and objective achievement; and that’s why it can be stated that the empirical model is effective.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce an e-learning teaching model in order to enhance to comprehension of the thermodynamic technology. There are to main activities, i.e.: identifying the need of teaching material (including the data of category and the topics of suitable lecture material for e-learning, and the pedagogic aspects) and making the e-learning model. Our research subjects are 84 students of mechanical engineering department FPTK UPI who has taken thermodynamic technology lecture. The results of this research are as follows: (a) The LMS (e-learning) thermodynamic technology becomes the centre of student activities (community web based distance learning); (b) Interaction in the student groups, through discussion; and (c) The student administrations system, including attendance, tasks, tests and achievement will be more complete, various and up to date. The research results concerning the thermodynamic technology material are as follows: (a) new information; (b) clear teaching goal formulation; (c) integration between new substance content with loose lecture material; (d) students can show the level of their comprehension through exercise; (e) the concise, short, and compact material explanation; (f) feedback against the evaluation conducted.

Abstract

The research aims is to reveal the implementation of e-learning on ICT specialization, the factors that affect the interaction between students with teachers, through the evaluation of the effectiveness of online exam, and the learning source. The pupolation used in the research is 2925 students and 31 teachers of SMK in Malang. Resulting from the research in most schools are ready to implement e-learning using applications Moodle, the interaction of teachers and students in the implementation of e-learning is positive and educative. Implementation an online exam is effective.Source of learning materials have traction, and help operate the computer skilled and manage information.In order to keep the sustainability of the implementation of e-learning should be commitment from the school to maintain the stability of the intranet and internet connection, every school need to have special hardware that supports video conference, so interactions that occur are not limited to chat, forums, and email,  to avoid leakage of the examination material required a reliable test system and enhance the question bank of the test system, and learning materials should also be prepared in the form of live CDs.
