Abstract

This article discusses about Optimization of information technology-based services in order to achieve excellent service at library of medan state university. To be able to perform excellent service in the library, then the first step that must be done is to examine the client / learn the client to be more familiar with the client must be an important activity that can not be abandoned by the library. Through continuous and regularly revised client needs, a clearer picture of the client will be made, allowing librarians and libraries to prepare and provide library services tailored to the client's needs. Abstract

This article entitled Utilization of Local Content Activity of a Higher Education: An Analysis Toward the Repository of the Islamic University Library of North Sumatra State. The purpose of this article is to determine the effect of the utilization (local content) on the lectures at the library of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra. The method used in this study is qualitative with the type of case study research Data collection techniques that is by observation observation. The results of the research have concluded that, the utilization of local content collection is very influential in lecturing activities of students who are doing college tasks. The effect of the utilization of local content collection, among others, is as reference material; secondary information sources, thesis writing guide, reference materials and inspiration in doing lecture work.Keywords: Local Content, College, Medan

Abstract

The shift in the culture of information digitization affects librarians in managing knowledge. Moreover, information becomes the main door to gain knowledge so that technology literacy and information access competency becomes very important. The shifting of information sources from printed form to digital is due to the presence of digital reproduction means. Librarians must be able to manage knowledge holistically in creating community knowledge. Digital media transfer needs to be done as an effort to maintain the library collection. Knowledge is considered the most strategically important resource and learning capability for library. Social media is also seen as an effective outreach tool, helping librarians promote their library and connect more deeply with the broader library community.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to find out whether Gunadarma University's Library is applying the user focus, then how to apply the user focus in the library because it can be seen that the information needs of each person is varied and more complex. It indirectly requires libraries to develop and pay attention to these things so that it can innovate and follow the development of information that exist in today's society. The theory used is custumer oriented because considering the needs of each individual is very complex and different so that custumer oriented can be said accordingly. The type of research used is descriptive analysis and the result shows good service care done by party such as free internet service and hot spot, integrated art room service (modern musical instrument, gamelan, ape, cd / dvd, play station, etc.) craft services, home theater, edu galleries, cultural collections, comic corners, rock, rock and soil research services in Gunungkidul district, storytelling services, dance studio and painting studio, library and archive consultancy services, visit library, and gift giving smart. This article discusses about The existence of libraries in the technological era. basically between the library and the community need each other.
