Abstract

In order to enter the era of global education services provided universities as the main product can not be separated from the service quality provided to internal and external customers.  Total Quality Service is a paradigm for creating quality in service delivery by involving all elements of the organization.  Implementation of the approach according to ISO 9000 and according to the Deming wheel in higher education management in Indonesia will consist of four major component, namely: labor market research, higher education process design, operational processes of higher education , and the delivery of competitive and qualified graduates into the labor market.  In this case we need a permanent interaction between labor market research, higher education process design, operational processes of higher education, and is responsible competitive and produce quality graduates into the labor marke .Keywords: services , service quality , Total Quality Service, Competitive graduates

Abstract

The research aims determine the effectiveness of the use of aluminum alloy as sacrificial anode for cathodic protection of hull plates and knows the needs of sacrificial anode that is used to slow the average rate of corrosion in the hull plates in seawater. This research method laboratory experiments. Test speciment for experimental laboratory is a steel plate AISI E 2512, three kinds of aluminum alloy sacrificial anode products are different (the product A, Al = 86.118%, the product B Al = 85.097% and the product C Al = 97.665%) and use of sea water media with a salinity of 37 %. Results of corrosion testing in the laboratory can prove that among of the three aluminum alloy sacrificial anode mounted on steel plates of AISI E 2512 ships haven is the most optimal performance is the product of aluminum alloy sacrificial anode C, because it has the average corrosion rate of the lowest vessel steel plate at 0.065 mm/year. From this research it is known that aluminum alloy sacrificial anode product C has the optimal performance, meaning it slows the rate of corrosion of steel plate AISI E 2512 that can truly serve as the sacrificial anode. Key words: Ship steel plate , Aluminum alloy sacrificial anode, Corrosion rate

Abstract

Execution of a construction project requires a systematic and well-planned scheduling so that the project can be run in accordance with the plans that have been planned. Unfavorable scheduling system can cause the project to be inefficient. Execution of a construction project often needs to accelerate the duration of the project which resulted in the addition of indirect costs. Every effort to expedite the implementation of the project in general will result in increased project costs. By increasing the working hours can speed execution time, but the cost for that would be more expensive. This provides the necessary conditions so that the business dilemma that the project can be completed with optimum cost and time. Cost-time optimization needs to be done to determine which activities should be accelerated and how the duration of the acceleration due to the acceleration that the incremental cost to a minimum. The intention and purpose of this research is to accelerate the execution time by using the method of CPM overtime, so we get the optimal time and cost. This research method by forming a linear equation of the trajectory of the crisis and then analyzed by linier program LINDO. The results  on the Rehabilitation Project DI Sidorejo are is 161 days with optimum total cost of Rp 3,733,520,010.00, resulting in cost efficiency of Rp 10,480,990.00 of the normal cost Rp 3,744,001,000.00 or 0.28%, project duration of 19 days sooner than the normal time of 180 days or 10.56% Cost efficiency occurs because the direct cost necessary to speed up the project implementation period is smaller than the reduction in overhead costs.Keywords: acceleration, time, execution,  project.

Abstract

Pressing machine is used for pressing castor seeds (Ricinus communis ) to be castor oil that  used as an alternative fuel. Making pressing machine have been selected from several designs, just by  a gasoline motor elected, the selection of materials and the determination  some component based on laboratory test and theoretical calculations. Also discussed about the process of working, assembly, financing, outcomes of designing and maintenance,  the results of designing and making for castor seed of 9.65 kg capacity which can be processed in one hour, and the dimensions of the machine with a length of 900 mm, width 800 mm, height 800 mm with 5.5 HP power driven by gasoline motor.Key words :  Pressing machine, castor seed, and gasoline motor.

Abstract

Soil with a high value of shrinkage, the water is very influential on physical and mechanical behavior of the soil (Das, 1994). Expansive clay generally have less favorable properties such as low dry density (gdmax), low California Bearing Ratio (CBR), low shear strength, and tall swelling. Nature is what causes the often broken pavement repairs even though frequent pavement structure. Road conditions in the Sendang Mulyo also experiencing the same thing that is quickly damaged although often performed repairs on the road surface layer. To problem solve these issues one way or the method used is to improve the quality of the original soil (stabilization). This research was conducted to find out more about the effect.  of stabilizing agent husk ash with lime and magnitude of the carrying capacity (CBR), and swelling soil. Laboratory testing includes test compaction, CBR and soil swelling. Addition of rice husk ash percentage varies from 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%. While the addition of lime percentage varies from 5%, 8% and 10%. In the research showed that the addition of lime and rice husk ash clay has a tendency to increase the density of the soil, good soil CBR value on condition without soaking or by immersion, and can reduce swelling soil. This condition occurs in clay mixed with rice husk ash 20% and 10% limestone which produces CBR value of 20.86% and 1.59% swelling.Keywords: stabilization, compaction, CBR, Swell

Abstract

AutoCAD® widely used as computered drawing and designing tools. AutoCAD® also have ability doing a  calculation and then present the result as automation drawing technique. This will run by coding all of manual task in the form of program with Visual LISP language.  The facility of editing and compiling for Visual LISP is attached in AutoCAD®. The Visual LISP code applicable to design and make drawing work of vehicle components as mass product.  The hoisterous of assembling of car by student of  Vocational Senior High School in Indonesia  giving opportunity for himself to design the vehicle components. Visual LISP will short a design time, because calculations and drawings will automatically done. There is no materials content of Visual LISP programming in the Lesson Plan of   Vocational Senior High School in Indonesia, so it is an opportunity to introduce to some of teacher of  Vocational Senior High School  in Semarang.  The introduce of Visual LISP programming was conducted  on 1st and 15th of June 2013,  followed  by 40 teachers as participants. Result of evaluation  from participants  was  67% expressing very agree and 33% expressing to agree that technology accepted represent matter newly; 33,3% expressing very agree and 55,4% expressing to agree if contents of  Visual LISP programming continued for the others; dissimilar opportunity. Others most suggestion in order to be continued for the advanced contents of Visual LISP programming. Keywords: Visual LISP Programming, AutoCAD automation design and drawing technique.

Abstract

Traffic accidents on the road is an event that is unexpected and unintended , involving a vehicle with or without other road users , resulting in loss of life or loss of property (PP 43/93 Section 93). Traffic accidents can be: 1) the victim died (fatal), 2) severe injuries (serious injury), and 3) minor injuries (slight injury). The occurrence of road traffic accidents in urban areas can be identified there are several main factors are: human (driver, pedestrian), vehicle, road and environment. Conditions for each category of causes of traffic accidents on the road is different. Knowledge of the characteristics of the three factors causing the accident is required in an attempt to decrease the rate of occurrence of accidents on the highway. Pamungkas, NS, in his writings mentions that most of the accidents on the highway Surabaya-Gempol caused by human factors (63.09 %). The vehicle factors accounted for 28.33 %, while road and environmental factors accounted for 8.58 %. Knowledge of the behavior of motorists who need to be understood to include the characteristics of the drive, sensing, and perception and reaction. Keywords : accident, characteristics, sensing, perception and reaction

Abstract

The purpose of analyzing this is to analyze Cash Flow Statement at Pemerintah Kabupaten Demak for fiscal year 2008-2009 with using the growth of cash flow analysis and free cash flow analysis. The collection of data derived from Dinas Pengelolaan Keuangan dan Kekayaan Daerah in Pemerintah Kabupaten Demak that is by interview and literature study. Writing method used is the method of data description and exposition. Description Of the method used to find a general overview of Pemerintah Kabupaten Demak and Dinas Pengelolaan Keuangan dan Kekayaan Daerah, while the method of Exposition in the writing of data is to analyze the cash flow statement of the fiscal Year 2008-2009 in Pemerintah Kabupaten Demak. The results show that the growth of cash flow for each of the exiting cash flow activity in Cash Flow Statement at Pemerintah Kabupaten Demak is have good performance of cash financial, where as calculation of free cash flow is produce that have increase in financial performance on year 2009 than in year 2008.Keywords: Cash Flow Statement, Cash Flow Growth Analysis, and Free Cash Flow Analysis.

Abstract

Rework can not be separated from the world of construction. It is rare, if not impossible, to meet not rework the implementation of a construction project. Rework can have a negative impact on performance and productivity, both consultants and contractors. In addition, as described several sources, rework is one of the major contributors to cost overruns and project delays. The impact of the direct costs arising out significantly. In addition to direct costs, rework is also an indirect impact. Administrative costs (such as overhead and paperwork) and declining productivity, motivation and morale of workers and personnel are few examples of these indirect effects. In Indonesia alone, rework has been indicated as the second leading cause of loss of productivity, especially for workers, and is a frequent problem arising in the design and construction work and project delays. Taking into account that the adverse effects of a given large enough, then efforts to reduce rework in the construction phase is indispensable. However, achieving this goal will not work properly if the business is sporadic, without first studying its causes.Keywords : rework, document design, construction, quality management, human resources.
