Abstract

ABSTRACT. Has made the development of interactive multimedia instructional media materials colloidal systems. The purpose of this is to facilitate the development of teachers teaching with the use of interactive multimedia instructional media materials colloidal systems. This development is done in class XI IPA 1 SMAN 8 Banjarmasin academic year 2012/2013 which consisted of 12 students as the test sample and the small group of 33 students of class XI IPA 1 SMA PGRI 4 Banjarmasin academic year 2012/2013 as a limited field test sample . Data collection techniques using achievement test techniques, observations, and questionnaires. The test results obtained ahl media iterhadap average of 83.33 including excellent category, student learning outcomes test kecil71 group, 67% in both categories, 80.69% limited field test with the category very well and the average response of students to the test group 43.25 is very good small category and limited field tests 44.18 very good category. That is, the students gave a positive response. This shows an interactive multimedia instructional media can facilitate the learning process in the colloidal system material. Abstract

Abstract. Effectiveness between PDEODE based multimedia, PDEODE based laboratory and expository instructional strategy to improve learning outcome has been investigated. This study was used quasiexperiment with pretest-posttest nonequivalent group design. Next to that, the study involved students of class XI SMAN 2 Banjarmasin as research subject. The instrument that was used to compare student’s learning outcome of three classes is cognitive test with multiple choice form. Data was analyzed by one way Anova and Duncan. Based on analyze, this study showed that (1) there is a significant difference of learning outcome between PDEODE based multimedia, PDEODE based laboratory and expository instructional strategy (2) the use of PDEODE based multimedia is more effective than the use of expository or PDEODE based laboratory.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills class VIII C SMP Negeri 6 Banjarmasin bilingual learning through inquiry-based 5E preview review. This research is a classroom action research that consists of four phases: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects were students of class VIII C. While the object of study is the overall chemical process and learning outcomes with the implementation of bilingual teaching inquiry-based 5E preview review to improve critical thinking skills. Instrument in the form of test and observation sheets. Analysis using qualitative descriptive analysis. The experiment was conducted in two cycles with six sessions by applying bilingual teaching inquiry-based 5E preview review. The results showed that the application of bilingual teaching inquiry-based 5E preview review the steps include: Engagement, exploration, explanation, elaboration and evaluation can improve students' critical thinking skills. In the first cycle gained critical thinking skills class VIII C is 57.25% with low qualifications. Obtained through the second cycle students' critical thinking skills class VIII C on the second cycle of 75.25% with medium qualifications. Critical thinking skills of students increased from cycle I to cycle II of 31.44%.Keywords: critical thinking skills, inquiry-based bilingual preview review 5E

Abstract

Abstract. The research development of bilingual teaching material chemistry with contextual approach to the subject matter household chemical materials was studied. The aim of this research development was produced the product bilingual teaching material chemistry with contextual approach to the subject matter household chemical materials to support bilingual learning strategies and according to contextual learning steps. The model of the development refered to Dick & Carey model approach system. Expert tes subject was lecturer of FKIP UNLAM Banjarmasin, they were 3 lecturers of chemistry department as expert of matter and 2 lecturers of english department as expert of english. Meanwhile tryout subject were students of grade VIII in Junior High School 1 Banjarmasin year 2012/2013, they were 15 students of grade VIII that determined by randomly as small group tryout and 31 students of grade VIII A as field tryout. Data collection techniques were used a questionnaire sheet validation for expert of matter and english, observation sheet, achievement test, and students response. All of the data of the research were analyzed descriptively. The result of the research indicates that has been developed a bilingual teaching material chemistry with contextual approach to the subject matter household chemical materials which is valid and effective for increasing conceptual comprehension and english competence of students.

Abstract

Abstract. This study is aimed to determine the improvement of students' process skills, student learning outcomes, teacher activities, student activities and student responses to the application of guided inquiry learning model. This study applies classroom action research design by using 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation and evaluation, as well as analysis and reflection. The subject of this study was students of class XI IPA 1 SMAN 11 Banjarmasin. There were two instruments used in this study: 20 questions of process skills and learning outcome test by using objective question type and non test instrument. The results of this study showed that (1) An increase in the skills of students at 23.86% (2) An increase in student learning outcomes was 11.7% (3) An increase in the activity of the criteria of good teachers in the first cycle to the criteria very well in the second cycle (4) An increase in the activity of students of both criteria in the first cycle to the criteria very well in the second cycle (5) the student showed a positive response to the application of guided inquiry learning model.Keyword : science process skills, student learning outcome, Guided Inquiry

Abstract

Abstract. Has made the development of multimedia-based interactive learning media using macromedia director in the subject matter of functional groups of carbon compounds. This development aims to produce media-based interactive multimedia learning using macromedia director in material functional group of carbon compounds for class XI vocational schools are fit for use in learning. The model used in this development is the 4-D models. A total of 10 students from the class XIA TKJ SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Banjarmasin academic year 2012/2013 research sample in a small test group and 36 MM XI students of SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Banjarmasin academic year 2012/2013 research sample in a limited field test. Data collection techniques using achievement test techniques, observation and questionnaires. Based on tests of learning media including experts on the criteria very well, meaning worthy and valid instructional media. Student learning outcomes in a small group of test percentages obtained 72.5% as very good and in limited field tests obtained percentage 79% as very good, meaning that effective learning media. Test results of the students' responses to a small group and limited field tests included in the category very well, all teachers and students in small groups and field tests are included in the category of finite excellent / very active, practical learning media means. This indicates that the developed learning media fit for use in chemistry learning media.Keywords: instructional media, interactive multimedia, functional group of carbon compounds, macromedia director

Abstract

Abstract. This classroom action research conducted to improve the ability to think krtitis, learning outcomes, teacher activity and student activity using Creative Problem Solving learning model. This study was conducted in two cycles with 4 meeting. The subjects were students of class XI IPA 1 SMAN 12 Banjarmasin with the number 27. Data were collected through observation, interview and test. Data were analyzed with descriptive analysis techniques of quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results showed that the Creative Problem Solving learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills from an average of 44.03% in the first cycle to 81.89% in the second cycle. Classical learning completeness increased from 55.56% in the first cycle to 88.89% in the second cycle. Activities of teachers in the implementation of measures to increase from both criteria in the first cycle becomes very baikpada the second cycle. Activities of students in the first cycle increased from active criterion to be very active in the second cycle.Keywords: critical thinking, learning outcomes, creative problem solving

Abstract

Abstract. Has done research on the effectiveness of the application of model-based teaching materials on problem solving sub subject matter of redox reactions. This study aims to (1) determine differences in cognitive achievement between students with learning students with conventional and model-based learning teaching materials problem solving, (2) determine differences in the activity of students, between students and students with learning and conventional learning models of problem-based teaching materials solving, (3) determine students' response to the model-based learning teaching materials problem solving. This research method is a quasi-experiment. Samples were students of class X-3 and X-5 SMAN 12 totaling 44 people, class X-1 and X-2 SMAN 4 amounted to 74 people as well as the class X-1 and X-3 SMAN 2 Banjarmasin numbered 76 people. The research design used was a nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Collecting data using tests of student learning outcomes, student activities and questionnaire responses. Data analysis using t-test with a significance level of 5%. Techniques used for the activity and the percentage of response analysis. Calculation of the t-test showed that t > t table therefore concluded that there is a significant difference in learning outcomes yng between the experimental and control classes, there is a difference in activity between the experimental class students and classroom control, whereas for the students' response to instructional materials as much as 88,79% at SMAN 2, as much as 77,46% at SMAN 4 and as much as 79,74% at SMAN 12 Banjarmasin.Keywords: effectiveness, problem solving, teaching materials, redox reactions

Abstract

Abstrak .Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang penerapan model inkuiri terbimbing untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Banjarmasin tahun ajaran 2013-2014 pada materi larutan elektrolit nonelektrolit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit nonelektrolit, (2) peningkatan keterampilan proses sains melalui kegiatan praktikum, (3) peningkatan keterampilan psikomotor, dan (4) peningkatan keterampilan sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan 2 siklus. Masing-masing siklus terdiri dari tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, evaluasi serta analisis dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X-1 SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Banjarmasin yang berjumlah 28 orang siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik tes dan nontes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran materi larutan elektrolit nonelektrolit dari siklus I ke siklus II. Ketuntasan belajar siswa meningkat sebesar 17,86 % yaitu dari 82,14 % pada siklus I menjadi 100 % pada siklus II, (2) keterampilan proses sains siswa meningkat 14,71 %, yaitu dari 71,34 % (kategori baik) pada siklus I menjadi 86,05% (kategori sangat baik) pada siklus II, (3) keterampilan psikomotor meningkat 21,4 % dari 56 % (kategori kurang) menjadi 77,4 % (kategori sangat baik) pada siklus II, dan (4) keterampilan sosial meningkat 13,4 % dari 65,91 % (kategori memuaskan) pada siklus I menjadi 79,31 % (kategori sangat baik) pada siklus II.Kata kunci : inkuiri terbimbing, keterampilan proses sains, elektrolit nonelektrolit.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this research is to determine the difference in critical thinking skills of students who have learnt with Identify the problem, define the problem, Explore solution, Act on the strategy, and Look back and evaluate the effect (IDEAL) Problem Solving method and the students who have learnt with conventional methods based on cognitive styles on material of Petroleum. The method of this research is a quasi-experiment and the design is nonequivalent control group design. The population of this research was class of X SMAN 7 Banjarmasin in year academic 2012/2013. The Samples were determined by purposive random sampling by 2 classes out of 7 classes. The Data collection technique using tests and observation. The Analysis technique using t-test and descriptive analysis. T-test was used to analysing the difference in students' critical thinking skills with cognitive style Field Independent (FI) and Field Dependent (FD) in the experimental class and the control class. The results showed that: there is a significant difference critical thinking skills among students who have learnt with IDEAL Problem Solving method and students who have learnt with conventional method based on cognitive styles on the material of Petroleum and cognitive styles affect students' critical thinking skills.Keywords: ideal problem solving, cognitive styles, field independent (FI), field dependent (FD), critical thinkingskills, petroleum.
