Abstract

This study discusses the traditional Balinese literature shaped geguritan with the title "Darma Kusuma Geguritan". In geguritan there are eleven types of stanzas in 227 stanzas. The purpose of this study is to determine the mandate contained in the geguritan.This study has two objectives, namely general purpose and special purpose. The general objective of this research is to help the development of literature, and to clear the information or as a vehicle for the interests of fostering and developing the cultural treasure of the existence of literature shaped geguritan. Another common objective is to disseminate the results of research literature in particular geguritan GDK. The specific objective of this study was to describe the mandate contained in GDK.The method used in this stage is providing data reading methods, the data analysis phase of qualitative methods, and the stage presentation of the results of the data analysis, formal and informal methods. To support the method used recording techniques. The results achieved in this study, is the author of the message to be conveyed is the message of loyalty, ethics, good manners, good leadership and a message about the magical.

Abstract

Talk show adalah sebuah program televisi atau program radio di mana satuorang (atau sekelompok orang) membahas berbagai topik. Dalam percakapan,terutama dalam program talk show televisi, pepatah percakapan penting untukmencapai tujuan komunikatif dan sosial, karena dalam percakapan nyatapembicara tidak selalu menerapkan teori Grice’s Maxims. Ada tiga tujuan dalampenelitian, untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik dari bahasa yang digunakan olehOprah Winfrey dalam Talk Show, untuk menggambarkan struktur Talk ShowOprah Winfrey, dan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis empat maxim yangdigunakan dalam percakapan di talk show Oprah Winfrey tersebut.

Abstract

Gilimanuk necropolis site is a site that is full of archaeological. Some ofArchaeological findings are in form of burial and settlement which been found at theyear 1962-2006. The skeleton of Gilimanuk Site could explain their people in thepast.Gilimanuk’s Paleoanthropology also analized by its R.X3 which is collectedby Balai Arkeologi Denpasar by observing the condition and size of the componentsof anatomy. This research is multidisiplim science and carried out systematically.The first stage in this research are observation, interviews, and literature. The secondstage of the analysis using anthropometric analysis, antroposkopi, and comparison todetermine the size of anatomical components R.X3 framework so that it can beidentified race. The last step is drawing conclusions based on the data that has beencollected to complete the information repertoire of human socio-cultural lifeGilimanuk Site. The results of the analysis indicate that paleoanthropology orderR.X3 this individual with the morphological characteristics of the Mongoloid race.

Abstract

Masalah dari penelitian ini adalah bagaimana meningkatkan kemampuanberbicara mengunakan gambar berseri, dan bagaimana memotivasi siswa dalamberbicara bahasa inggris. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh konsep kerangkapenting pada penggunaan gambar berseri melalui kelompok belajar untukmeningkatkan motivasi mereka untuk berbicara bahasa inggis selama prosesinteraksi komunikasi di kelas. Jenis penelitian ini adalah menggunakan penelitiantindakan kelas (Classroon Action Research). Subyek penelitian ini terdiri atas 40orang siswa pada kelas X-1, SMAN 3 Kediri tahun ajaran 2007-2008. Datapenelitian dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes vocabulary (tes sesudahperlakuan pertama dan tes sesudah perlakuan kedua), pengamatan untukmendapatkan data pada motivasi siswa pada peningkatan kemampuan berbicaradengan mengunakan gambar berseri. Data pada kemampuan berbicaramenggunakan gambar berseri diananalisa menggunakan urian deskripsi danstatistik untuk melihat peningkatan nilai rata-rata siswa sesudah perlakuanpertama dan perlakuan kedua. Berdasar perlakuan pertama, nilai rata-rata siswameningkat menjadi 67.8 and pada perlakuan kedia, nilai rata-rata siswa menjadi78.8. dapatlah disimpulkan bahwa pengajaran berbicara melalui gambar berseridapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa.

Abstract

 The phenomenon of natural dreads (bok gempel) in balinese people belief system is considered to contain the magical value. This research tries to reveal the meaning and impact of the phenomenon of dreads natural (bok gempel) against its owners, as well as the views of the public about such phenomena.   Research noted that natural dreads (bok gempel) in belief system the people of bali, generally believed to contain magic in its formation. An individual natural owner dreads (bok gempel) found various kinds of different experiences in the process of formation dreads (gempel ) it is in life. So this phenomenon eliciting profane, religious meaning and impact on the religious life and profane for its owners.
