Abstract

The research is backed by the language in usage by the precence of comunitiesthat may give rice to  conflicts social. In addition, the research is also backed by the persence of community complaints that many people feel unconfortable due to the literarysituation while shopping at traditional markets. Issues raised in this study were (1) howthe form of verbal violence in the traditional market Town of Denpasar; (2) based on it’smeaning, what were the types of verbal violence that occurred in the traditional marketTown of Denpasar; (3) what were the factors that affect the occurrence of verbal violencein the traditional market Town of Denpasar. The theory used in this research is theSearle’s theory of speech acts, Dell Hymes’s theory of speech events, Grice’s theory ofimplikatur, and the Pateda’s theory of language usage. Methods and techniques in thisresearch consist of theree, namely 1) method and technique of data collection is themethod “simak bebas libat cakap”; 2) method and tecnique of analysis data is a methodof meaning interpretation; and 3) method and tecnique of presentation is an informalmethod of analysis results. The results obtained from ths reaserch is (1) verbal violencein the speech acts: asertif, directive, komisif, and declaration; (2) types of verbal violencethat occur in the  traditional markets Town of Denpasar: invective, insults, threast,accusations, duress, satire, protest, suspicion, rejection, decision, greetings, and lies; and(3) factors that affect the occurrence of verbal violence: factor in the desire to conveysomething, moods, situations,circumstances, environment, and social level.

Abstract

Satu ujaran tidak hanya mengandung satu makna saja, terkadang ujaran-ujaran tersebutmemiliki makna lain yang tersirat. Grice (1975) menyebut makna tersirat tersebut sebagai Implikatur. Implikatur timbul karena adanya pelanggaran prinsip kerja samayang lebih khusus terjadi pada bidal: (1) kuantitas, (2) kualitas, (3) relevansi, dan (4)cara. Dari keempat bidal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu bidal yangbertentangan yang ditemukan di setiap implikatur yang ada di drama Pygmalion. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah drama Pygmalion yang ditulis oleh GeorgeBernard Shaw dan data diambil dengan metode riset pustaka. Data kemudian dianalisisdengan metode kualitatif. Teori yang menjadi landasan di dalam penelitian kualitatif ini adalah teori pragmatik tentang Implikatur. Schiffirn (1994: 194) menyatakan bahwaImplikatur adalah sesuatu yang tersirat yang berbeda dari apa yang disampaikan. Grice (di Levinson, 1983) menyebutkan bahwa penutur cenderung bekeinginan untukmemenuhi dua bidal yang bertentangan yang memicu pelanggaran satu bidal untuk mendukung bidal yang lainnya. Dari analisis penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa ada dua kasus pelanggaran bidal; (1) bidal kuantitas dengan bidal kualitas dan (2) bidal kuantitas dengan bidalrelevansi. Bidal kuantitas dilanggar karena penutur tidak mampu menyediakaninformasi yang benar sebagaimana yang diminta oleh bidal kualitas. Begitu pulapelanggaran terjadi pada bidal kuantitas ketika penutur dituntut untukmemberikan jawaban yang relevan sementara dia tidak memiliki informasi yangsesuai.

Abstract

Deixis merupakan hubungan antara penggunaan struktur bahasa dan konteks dalam percakapan. Deixis fokus pada tanda bahasa atau struktur grammatikal dari konteks ujaran dalam percakapan dan interpretasi dari percakapan yang bergantungpada analisis dari konteks ujaran. Dalam setiap narrative teks seperti novel, terdapat banyak tanda-tanda deictcic yang menerapkan teori Levinson. Ada dua tujuan dalam penelitian ini,  untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengklasifikasikan macam-macam deixis yang  digunakan  dalam  novel  The  Rainbow  Troops,  untuk  menyajikan  danmenjabarkan presentase dari setiap tanda-tanda deictic yang digunakan dalam novel The Rainbow Troops.

Abstract

The title of this study is “ReduplikasiBahasaJepangdalam Novel Ikitemasu, 15 SaiKarya Miyuki Inoue”. The data source of this study was taken from Japanese novelentitled Ikitemasu, 15 Sai.The study used agih methods and informal methods. The theorywere used to analyze the main character of the novel was taken from the theory of form reduplication by Koizumi (1995) and the theory of mean reduplication by Simatupang(1983). There are two forms analysis of reduplication form: stem reduplication (gokan nojuufuku) and stem and affixes reduplication (gokanjuufuku to setsuji). Semantically,Japenese reduplication in the novel Ikitemasu, 15 Sai by Miyuki Inoue showed fivemeanings, namely meaning of diversity, distributive, intensive, plural or singular, and themeaning of reduplication which states doing something repeatedly or continuosly.Keyword: Reduplication, Form, Mean

Abstract

The analysis on the structure and literary sociology  approach in the novel of dr. Ratini, this article aims was to understand the elements of structure and the socialaspects that exist in the novel. The theory base have been used in this analysis werethe structural theory and the theory of literary sociology. Structural theory have beenused based on the Teeuw that were dominant elements in literary work. For theanalysis of social aspects were based on the theory presented by Damono and ReneWellek, the method have been used in this analysis were divided into three phases,that were data collection by the method of reading, data processing and data analysisby analytic descriptive methods, and presentation of the results of the analysis datawere by using informal methods.The results have been obtained in this analysis thatwere revealed of the narrative structure that develop the novel of dr Ratini asfollows: incident, plot, setting, characters and characterizations, theme and message.In addition, this analysis also reveals social aspects as follows: aspects of religion(tattwa, moral, ceremony), aspects of romance, magic aspects and technologyaspects.
