Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of emotional intelligence and procedural justice of employees on customer satisfaction in Branch Office of PT. Bank Pembangunan Daerah Bali, Renon, Denpasar. The number of samples taken were 140 customers with non-probability sampling method and accidental sampling, data were collected using questionnaire and analyzed by multiple linear regression techniques. The results show that emotional intelligence and procedural justice was influence on customer satisfaction positively. The implication of this research is that employees have to show better attitude in controllingtheir emotion and focus more to the interests of customers by providing fair treatment in accordance with procedures prevailed in endeavour to improve customer satisfaction

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine priority of several criterias which is considered in arranging supplier ranking and furtherly used as the basis of supplier selection.Method implemented in this study are Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Taguchi Loss Function. The function of AHP is to determine criterias, whereas Taguchi Loss is used to identify supplier ranking with quality, price, warranties and claim policies, delivery, technical capabilities, and communication system criterias.  The findings show that the main criteria wanted by the company is quality with the highest weight  among other criterias, i.e 0.393. PT Surya Inti Artha emerges as the best supplier because have the smallest Weighted Taguchi loss value

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analize the effect of stock price, stock trading volume, and volatility of stock returns on bid-ask spread. The population of this study is 20 companies incorporated in LQ45 index that appear successively during the observation period of 2011-2013. Sampling method used was saturated sampling technique, so all companies used as sample. Hipotheses were examined by implementing multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that stock price negatively affect bid-ask spread, while stock trading volume and volatility of stock returns has no significant effect on bid-ask spread.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to compare characteristic differences of milk consumers in traditional and modern market, to analyze the influence of environmental factor (cultural, social class, individual, family and situation) on milk consumer buying decision in traditional and modern market, and to analyze the dominant sub-factors in influencing consumer to buy milk product in both market. This research was conducted in Pasar Anyar Bogor and Giant Hypermart Botani Square Bogor from February until April 2015. The data used was primary data collected through questionnaire and analyzed by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through Partial Least Square (PLS) approach.The results show that individual factor and family factors emerge as environmental sub-factor which affect positively buying decision of milk product both in traditional and modern market. As a whole, the impact environmental factor on milk consumer buying decision is 72,6% in traditional market and 78% in modern market

Abstract

The aims of  this study is to investigate the effect of leadership, physical work environment, and compensation on employee performance. The sample size was 91 employees of UD Terus in Bali which was determined by saturated sampling technique. Method of data gathering used was questionnaire distribution with five Likert’s Scale. Technique of analysis implemented in this study was multiple linear regression. The findings show that partially, leadership, physical work environment, and compensation has positive impact on performance. Additionally, 80.8 percent of employees performnace variation determined by leadership, physical work environment, and compensation, whereas 19.2 percent determined by other variables not considered in this study

Abstract

This study aim is to determine the effect of business risk and the size of company on capital structure and firm value. The population of this study were 9 companies in pharmaceutical sub-sectors listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Sample size was determined by census method-taking all population as sample. This study used secondary data obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (www.idx.co.id) and ICMD in 2006-2013. The study implemented path analysis technique. The results show that, firstly, business risk and firm size is have a positive and significant impact on capital structure. Secondly, business risk has a negative and significant effect on company value, whereas size of the company has a positive and significant effect on company value. On the other hand, and capital structure has positive yet not significant effect company value. Thirdly, capital structure emerges as mediating variable in the affect of business risk on the company value

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine significant difference on abnormal return of Transportation Industry shares before and after the rise of fuel prices on 18 November 2014.This study took a sample of 24 companies in transportation industry listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange by using cencus method. Data analysis technique used was Paired Sample T-Test with 15-day window period. The results show that there was no significant difference on shares’ abnormal return before and after the rise of fuel price on 18 November 2014. The event of fuel prices hike did not give a significant impact on transportation industry, indicating that the issue of fuel prices hike had been widely circulated within the community before the event occured and it did not take place in a long period of time. It can be stated that the market does not react toward the rise of fuel prices. Investors have predicted that the rise of fuel prices will only be temporary and Indonesia Stock Exchange is still being the destination for foreign investors to invest

Abstract

The rapid growth and increasing competition in the business of cosmetic product and also the more selective consumer, makes cosmetic companies do efforts in providing information about the products and create a positive association to attract potential customers. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of perceived value in mediating the effect of celebrity endorser credibility on purchase intention of Maybelline cosmetics products in Denpasar. The sample size was 70 people, determined with non-probability sampling methods, especially incidental and purposive sampling. The analysis technique used was PLS (Partial Least Square). The results of this study indicate that the celebrity endorser credibility influence positively purchase intention and perceived value. Additionally, perceived value has positive impact on purchase intention. Perceived value emerges as variable which mediate partially the effect of celebrity endorser credibility on purchase intention.
