Abstract

This abstract presents the design of a web-based information system aimed at enhancing the management of scholarships by facilitating quick access to information and efficient dissemination of relevant updates. Scholarships play a crucial role in providing financial assistance to students and enabling them to pursue quality education. However, the existing manual processes and fragmented information systems often lead to challenges in accessing scholarship details and timely dissemination of information. The proposed system addresses these challenges by leveraging web-based technologies and designing an integrated platform for efficient scholarship management. The system incorporates features such as a centralized database, user-friendly interface, and robust search functionality to enable seamless access to scholarship information. By adopting a web-based approach, the system ensures accessibility from various devices, including desktop computers, laptops, and mobile devices. Moreover, the system emphasizes the importance of fast information dissemination. It enables real-time updates and notifications to keep students, scholarship providers, and other stakeholders informed about application deadlines, eligibility criteria, and any changes in the scholarship programs. Additionally, the system allows for personalized notifications, ensuring that users receive relevant updates based on their preferences and areas of interest. The design of the web-based information system prioritizes security and privacy by implementing stringent authentication mechanisms and encrypted data transmission. It also incorporates features for efficient application submission, document management, and evaluation processes, streamlining the entire scholarship lifecycle. The expected benefits of implementing this system include improved accessibility to scholarship opportunities, reduced administrative overhead, increased transparency in the selection process, and enhanced collaboration among scholarship providers and educational institutions. By leveraging the power of web technologies, the proposed system aims to revolutionize the management of scholarships, ultimately promoting equal educational opportunities and fostering academic excellence.

Abstract

Effective data management plays a crucial role in optimizing the performance of educational institutions. This study aims to explore the implementation of a technology-based data management system for writing classes in the Student Preaching Institution of the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Cirebon. The objective is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of data collection, storage, and analysis, ultimately enhancing the overall quality of the writing classes. This research utilizes a mixed-methods approach, incorporating qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques. Firstly, a comprehensive review of the existing data management practices is conducted to identify the limitations and challenges faced by the institution. Secondly, a technology-based data management system is developed, integrating modern tools and techniques to streamline the data collection process. The system is designed to facilitate easy data entry, retrieval, and analysis, ensuring accurate and reliable information for decision-making purposes. The implementation of the technology-based data management system is evaluated through a series of case studies and interviews with relevant stakeholders. The findings reveal several significant benefits, including increased efficiency in data management, improved accuracy in reporting, and enhanced collaboration among the stakeholders involved in the writing classes. Moreover, the system enables the institution to track the progress of individual students, identify their strengths and weaknesses, and provide targeted interventions to support their learning and development. The results of this study contribute to the growing body of literature on the application of technology in educational institutions. The findings highlight the importance of leveraging technology to optimize data management processes, particularly in the context of writing classes in the Student Preaching Institution of IAIN Cirebon. The insights gained from this research can serve as a valuable resource for other educational institutions seeking to enhance their data management practices and improve the overall quality of their programs.

Abstract

Today’s security system requires the support of new technology to make it easier to monitor remotely and maintain valuables stored at home in real time. Internet of things technology has now been widely developed with various types of electronic components applied. So, from these problems providing innovation with the development of a remote security system applied to the FC-51 infrared sensor and ESP8266 as it’s control. The infrared sensor receives input signals in the form of objects detected and received by ESP8266 to be sent information to the server to be notified of messages from the Blynk platform to mobile devices. The results of this study prove, that the smart security system with IoT – based infrared sensor is able to detect the optimal distance obtained < 30cm and the shape of different objects determines the level of accuracy of the sensor.

Abstract

This Abstract-Paper presents an innovative approach to improve the performance of vehicle detection and classification in the context of computer vision. This study proposes the use of Region of Interest (ROI) to identify and process vehicle information in traffic images. The proposed method is based on a combination of deep learning-based object detection algorithms with a more focused ROI-based approach. First, we use state-of-the-art convolution neural networks to perform object detection in traffic images, which involves a visual recognition process to identify vehicle locations. Then, using ROI, we reorder and reduce the dimensions of irrelevant data to remove background areas and increase attention to vehicle objects. This aims to reduce the computational load and speed up the detection and classification processes. We evaluate the proposed approach on a wide traffic dataset and compare the results with conventional object detection approaches without using ROI. The experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms the conventional approach in terms of vehicle detection speed and accuracy. In conclusion, this study succeeded in improving the performance of vehicle detection and classification by leveraging Region of Interest, which allows better focus on relevant regions and reduces computational complexity. These results can make an important contribution to the development of a more efficient and reliable traffic control and transportation system.
