Abstract

The marketing mix strategy is one of the efforts undertaken by the company to increase product sales and earn profits for the company consisting of four groups, namely: product, price, promotion, and place or distribution channel. This study aims to describe the marketing mix strategy related to product, price, promotion, and place conducted by the owner of tenun ikat handicraft business of CV. Silvi MN Paradila in Parengan village, Maduran district, Lamongan regency. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Determination of research location uses purposive area method, while the determination of subject and informant research using purposive method. Data collection uses observation methods, interviews, and documents. Data analysis used in this research is data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusion. The result of the research shows that marketing mix strategy related to product, price, promotion, and place conducted by the owner of tenun ikat handicraft business, namely: product strategy by maintaining product quality, and providing various motives. Pricing strategies are by setting the selling price of the cost of goods and profit margins and setting prices based on 3 levels: low, medium, and high. Promotional strategies are with advertising, publicity, personal selling, and direct marketing. As for the distribution is using direct and indirect distribution.

Abstract

The modernization of agriculture is a fundamental change in the patterns of agriculture, from traditional ways to more advanced ways. Including farmers in Village Dukuhdempok, Wuluhan, District Jember, the changes include several things, among others in the processing of soil, the use of superior seeds, the use of fertilizers, the use of agricultural facilities, and the timing of harvesting. The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of agricultural modernization on employment opportunities and income of farmers in the Village Dukuhdempok, Wuluhan, District Jember. The type of this research is descriptive research with qualitative approach. Place of study was determined by using Purposive method. Informant research was determined using snowball method. Data collection techniques in this study using the method of observation, interviews and documents. Data analysis by means of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that the modernization of agriculture in the village of Dukuhdempok a change in the pattern of traditional community life into a modern society, especially related to technology and agricultural organizations. Farmers in the village of Dukuhdempok indeed undergo many changes in line with technological developments in the field of agriculture that is the change of the guise system into a kolen system, the selection of superior seeds that used to use their own seeds without taking into account the quality of the results and the time taken until the harvest and now have selected superior seeds Which will get more crops and planting time to harvest faster. The existence of modern machines in the field of agriculture by shifting traditional tools such as traditional plows, manual pest eradication tank and also the harvesting process that initially uses ani-ani, then changed to jagrak by pounding the rice stalk and then expand again to the dores Such as a bike, then dores with a diesel engine and is now using a kombin that saves more power and time. From the development of agricultural technology has an impact on the increase in income to the owner farmers and the increased employment opportunities for skilled or skilled hodge.

Abstract

The purpose of the research was analyzing about how the strategy which was done by limestone production labor. Related to the strategy that was done by them, therefore they could have homestay for their family.The area determination of the research was determined by area purposive method, which was done as deliberate by the researcher. The researcher chosen Grenden, Puger, Jember. In this research, there are four family limestone production labor and four supporting informant from their neighbors. The data collection method used by the researcher including interview method, observation method, and documentation method. The analysis data which was used in this research consist of some stages, they were the reduction data, the presentation data, and drawing conclusion. The result of the study showed that the limestone production labor had homestay with proper conditions and preparations in owning it more than 5 years in the average. The limestone production labor who had homestay certainly applied many kind of strategies to be able to have their own homestay. These strategies were doing diversity working, making social network, saving money, and the obligation system. All of the main four informant did diversity working to increase the income. They also saved money with different ways. Meanwhile, the main three informant made social network by asking for assistance in their neighbors to build their homestay. And there is one from main informant did the obligation system with borrowing money and paying it by instalment which was appropriate with the engagement. By using these strategies, it gave the evidence that limestone production labor in Grenden, Puger, Jember could have theirs homestay.

Abstract

This study aims to examine more deeply about the analysis of the level of cost efficiency in red brick business actors in terms of revenue in the Village District Kembiritan Genteng Banyuwangi. The type of research used in this study is quantitative. Place of study is determined by purposive area, that is in Kembiritan Village of Genteng District of Banyuwangi Regency. The subjects used in this study are red brick business actors in Kembiritan Village, Genteng District, Banyuwangi Regency with the criteria of red brick business run for less than 3 years. The data in this study were obtained by document, interview and observation. The analysis used in this research is anilisis efficiency by using formula R / C that is income received divided by cost incurred. After the results obtained value of efficiency ratio, it can be known the value of the level of efficiency is low and medium. The final result of this research can be concluded that four red brick business actors in Kembiritan Village of Genteng District of Banyuwangi Regency are seen from the aspect of income can reach efficient level. The level of efficiency achieved by four red brick business actors in Kembiritan Village, Genteng District, Banyuwangi Regency is one with low efficient category with R / C ratio of 1.27 and three red brick business actors with high efficient category with value R / C ratio of 1.37, 1.38 and 1.38.

Abstract

This study aims to review more deeply about marketing mix strategy used by UD. Tropical Batik in product marketing activities of the company. Determination of research location determined by Purposive Area method, that is done intentionally in UD. Tropical Batik Klontang Hamlet Gendoh Village Sempu Sub-district Banyuwangi Regency. The main informant in this study is the corporate managers and the supporting informants are company employees. Data collection methods used by researchers are interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis used in this research consists of several stages, they are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that the product strategy used by UD. Tropical Batik is prioritize product quality by considering raw materials, production process, motif, and color. The pricing strategy used by determining the exact price in a accordance with the raw materials and production process. The strategies of promotion are exhibitions, cooperation with cooperatives and schools, and word-of-mouth promotion. Distribution strategies implemented are direct distribution to consumers and indirect distribution by cooperation with cooperatives and agents.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how the marketing strategy of batako labako done UD. Bintang Timur in Sumberpakem village Sumberjambe district Jember district. The type of research used in this study is qualitative. Place of study is determined by purposive area, that is Sumberpakem village Sumberjambe Sub district Jember. Informants used in this study are owners and employees. The Eastern Star will provide the information needed by the researcher. Furthermore, the additional informant in this research is the buyer or customer or agent of UD. Bintang Timur. The data in this study were obtained by document, interview and observation. Data analysis used in this research is data reduction, data presentation, and withdrawal conclusion done interactively and continuously. The end result of this research can be concluded that in selling or marketing its products, this company uses marketing strategy by focusing on promotion or promotion, in which related to advertising, sales promotion, and personal selling. First on the process of advertising is used two kinds of media that is, using the brochure media in spread or given to the community for free, and through the media business cards given to buyers or prospective buyers directly ditoko UD. Bintang Timur. Both sales promotions are made by this company through trade shows, product displays, purchase pieces. And the third personal sale is done by displaying his batik products neatly in a storefront located in UD Bintang Timur.

Abstract

Learning is the process of delivering information from teachers to students. One of the elements contained in the learning process is the media. Learning media is needed by the teacher to support all learning activities. Along with the development of information technology, there are many created Internet-based learning media one of them is Edmodo. Edmodo required by students to be active in teaching and learning activities both in the classroom and outside the classroom. SMK Negeri 1 Jember is one of many schools that have been familiar with internet based learning but have not used Edmodo media yet. This study aims to improve the activity and learning outcomes of students of X Marketing class in SMK Negeri 1 Jember in Marketing Business Management subjects through Edmodo learning media. This study is a classroom action research. The research was conducted at SMK Negeri 1 Jember academic year 2016/2017 with research subject of class X of PM 3 amounted to 39 students and object of research on Marketing Business Management subject. Data collection using observation method, interview, test and documentation. This research was conducted by using 2 cycles consisting of planning, giving action, observation and reflection. Data analysis techniques used in this study is the data analysis of learning activities through observation and analysis of learning results through the test. The results showed that the increase of learning activity from the initial condition of 44% to 60,7% in cycle 1 and increased to 92,5% in cycle 2. Improved learning outcomes can also be seen from the average score of students is 66,7 on The initial conditions increased to 72,37 in cycle 1 and 80,10 in cycle 2. The conclusion that the use of Edmodo learning media was able to increase the activity and learning outcomes of students of class X of PM 3 on the subjects of Marketing Management.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how the entrepreneur behavior of ethnic Chinese traders in Jalan Samanhudi Jember regency. Limited employment and increasingly intense competition among job seekers make some of people in Jalan Samanhudi Jember work as entrepreneurs. Formerly Jalan Samanhudi was one of Chinatown area in Jember Regency. Actually, there are many ethnic Chinese traders who trade in their shop. Through observations conducted by researchers they found that ethnic Chinese traders in Jalan Samanhudi Jember regency are able to maintain their business in a long time and quite successful in the field of trading although they are from the wandering people overseas. Those characteristics of entrepreneurial behavior shown by ethnic Chinese traders are not easy to despair, not to let go of opportunities, keeping promises, trying to convince customers during trading and have extremely good endurance and enthusiasm. Data collection methods used consisted of observation, interview and document methods. The analytical method used is descriptive qualitative. The result of this study indicate that the entrepreneur behavior of ethnic Chinese traders in Jalan Samanhudi Jember regency is very strong in running their business.

Abstract

This study was conducted to know the significant influence of service quality (reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangible) toward customer loyalty (re-purchase, words of mouth recommendations, and immune to the pull of a competitors) in Quick Chicken restaurant Jalan Jawa No. 63 Jember. The determination of research location use purposive area method, whereas the determination of sample use purposive sampling method. Data collection method use questionaires, documents, interviews and observation. Data analysis used in this study is inferential analysis consist of simple linear regression, the regression line variance, the F-test, and the effectiveness of regression line. The research result shows that a simple linear regression analysis forms a equation Y = 6.438 + 0,126X with a value of Rsquare is 0.694, Fchange value is 176.576, Ftable value is 3.96 on level of significance testing criteria is 0.05 with Fchange > Ftable, so Ho is rejected, and if sig < α, and then Ho denied. It shows that the quality of service has significant influence toward customer loyalty in restaurant Quick Chicken Jalan Jawa No. 63 Jember with total of significance influence is 69.4%, but the balance of 30.6% influenced by other variables that don’t examined. The suggestion that can be given for management of Quick Chicken restaurant Jalan Jawa No. 63 Jember is expected to always keep the service quality and always have tactics to improve the service quality for all of its customers because they are able to retain customers.

Abstract

This research was a classroom action research (CAR) consists of two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation and reflection. The purpose of this study was : (1) described the use of interactive learning media with Adobe Flash CS6 applications in improving students' motivation to the basic competence in analyzing the role, functions and benefits of tax class XI IPS 1 MAN 1 Jember 2ⁿᵈ Semester Of Academic Year 2016 / 2017, (2) determined the increase motivation to learn class XI IPS 1 Jember through the use of interactive learning media with Adobe Flash CS6 application to the basic competence to analyze the role, functions and benefits of tax in 2ⁿᵈ Semester Of Academic Year 2016/2017. The subjects research were students of class XI IPS 1 MAN 1 Jember which amount 30 students. Source data was gained from teachers and students. Data collection techniques were observation of students’ motivation and interview to teachers and students after using the media. Data analysis technique in this study was using descriptive qualitative data analysis. The results showed that: The motivation of students in the first cycle increased to 3.04 in the high category. However, there were indicators of students' motivation in middle category, so we need second cycle. In the second cycle students' motivation rise 3.54 in the high category and all indicators of student motivation were also at a high category. The conclusion of this study was the use of interactive learning media with Adobe Flash CS6 applications can increase students' motivation in class XI IPS 1 MAN 1 Jember on basic competence in analyzing roles, functions and benefits of tax in 2ⁿᵈ semester of academic year 2016/2017.
