Abstract

Portland cement clinker is a hydraulic material consists of C3S, C2S, C3A and C4AF. For producing clinker, raw meal have been burn in kiln at temperature 1450oC by using the heat combustion from coal. Clinker burning process is the most important process for the cement industry. In the portland cement industry, coal was not only used as a fuel, but it can also affected the composition of clinker. The coal ash will be mixed with raw meal during clinkerization process. Therefore, when the quality of the coal is not in accordance with the raw meal, it will cause crude clinker. The main purpose of study is to determine the influence of coal ash toward clinker quality. It should be known because portland cement clinker quality of PT. Semen Tonasa have to be on standard according to ASTM C-150-1999 and SNI No. 15-6514-2001. The results of paired T-test analysis showed that the composition of the coal ash which affected the quality of clinker after clinkerization process were LSF, SM, C3S, C2S, and C4AF. Based on the result of simple regression analysis, the amount of coal ash composition toward clinker portland cement quality was minor. LSF had the highest influence up to 0.885%, AM range between 0.1-0.3%, C2S range between 0.01-0.07%, C3S range between 0.01-0.02%, and C4AF was 0.019%.Keywords: clinker, coal ash, quality, C3S, C4AF, portland cement

Abstract

The limitation of data and information about distribution of gold mineralization based on the value of resistivity in the hosted rock on WIUP exploration PT. Indi Karya Anugerah which is located in Long Iram, West Kutai, East Borneo becomes the background of this study. The purpose of this study is expected to find the indications of gold mineralization anomalies based on the geophysical data of geoelectrical resistivity value hosted rock, rock contacts, mineralization and the sub-surface distribution. Vertical geoelectrical resistivity inversion using Wenner configuration for eight line of one with the position of the potential electrode and current electrode arranged from C1-P1-P2-C2. Based on the result of resistivity interpretation using software RES2Dinv showed that the lowest resistivity value of materials is 1.23Ωm till the highest one is 119085Ωm with rocks encountered indicated as Latite which was exposed, had a high resistivity. Outcrop of alteration area was found with relatively low resistivity and based on its physical characteristics as well as indication of gold occurrences in rock samples with grade of 2.01 ppm on line 01-line 02 and 2.27ppm on line 08 which were the analysis result in laboratory. Keywords: Survey review, alteration, resistivity, software RES2Dinv, anomalies

Abstract

Sequence is mining forms that show how the pit will be mined from the first stage to the final stages of mine design (pit limit). The purpose of this study is to design sequences mining to monthly production target at Bara 14 Seam C. Plan production targets at this location is 40,000 tons of coal per month and a maximum stripping ratio is 15:1. Analysis data and research design sequence using software Minescape 4.118. The coal reserves which designed based on pit limit is 162,370 tons and 2,425,450 bcm of overburden material. The first sequence has an area of 4.97 ha mine openings with the amount of 40,000 tons of coal and overburden 599,990 bcm. Stripping ratio in this sequence is 15:1. The second sequence has a wide opening 8.44 ha mines the number of 40,000 tons of coal and overburden 599,900 bcm. Stripping ratio in this sequence is 15:1. The third sequence has an area of 11.67 ha mine openings with the amount of 40,000 tons of coal and overburden 599,520 bcm. Stripping ratio in this sequence is 15:1. The fourth sequence has extensive mine openings 11.67 ha with the amount of 40,000 tons of coal and overburden 599,330 bcm. Stripping ratio in this sequence is 15:1. The fifth sequence has extensive mine openings 11.67 ha with the amount of 2,370 tons of coal and overburden 26,710 bcm. Stripping ratio in this sequence is 11:1.Keywords: design, pit limit, sequence, stripping ratio, production target
