Abstract

This research aimed  to identify the effectiveness of using”two stay two stray” cooperative learning models towards students’ activities and learning achievements in classification of living things subject matter. The study was held at MTs state of Sulang, 7thgrade semester in 2011/2012.The design of research was pre-experiment  with One Shoot Case Study. Samples were the class VII2, VII3 and VII4 who were collected by purposive sampling technique. The variable were ”two stay two stray” cooperative learning models, students’ activities and learning achievements in classification of living things matter. Obtained data were analyzed by descriptive quantitative methods. The results showed that the percentage of students who were active and very active in the class from all three class up to 86.67%. Completeness of students’ learning achievement was 93,33%.The conclusion from this research was that the learning of Living Things Classification using “two stay two straý” cooperative learning model was effective to improve the activity and students’ learning achievements at MTs state of Sulang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif two stay two stray terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kelas VII semester gasal MTs Negeri Sulang tahun ajaran 2011/2012. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah pre-experimental design dengan desain One Shoot Case Study. Sampel yang digunakan adalah kelas VII2, VII3 dan VII4 dengan teknik purposive sampling. Variabel penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif two stay two stray, aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase siswa yang aktif dan sangat aktif secara klasikal pada ketiga kelas mencapai 86,67%. Ketuntasan hasil belajar  siswa mencapai 93,33%. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara diskriptif kuantitatif.  Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif two stay two stray efektif terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa klasifikasi makhluk hidup di MTs  Negeri Sulang.

Abstract

This purpose of this research was to identify the students’ activities and their learning achievements on the classification of living organism materials by using the Unnes’educational tourism garden as learning resources, integrated in  the JAS  (environmental exploration) approaches for SMP Teuku Umar Semarang students. This research design was  one shot case study. Sample of this research were class VII.1 and VII.3 students  collected by purposive sampling technique. The collecting data methods were questionnaires, documentation, observation sheets and tests. The data were quantitatively measured and descriptively  analyzed. The results showed that 74%-100% of students in three learning activities were classified as active and very active, and 77% of student achieved  optimal student learning outputs (the learning achievement ? 80). Based on the results of research and its discussion it was concluded that Unnes’ educational tourism garden  could be used for a learning resource on the classification of living organism material, integrated in JAS approach  and for optimizing  learning activities and achievements of  SMP Teuku Umar Semarang students. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup dengan memanfaatkan kebun wisata pendidikan sebagai sumber belajar dengan menerapkan pendekatan jelajah alam sekitar di SMP Teuku Umar Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain the one shot case study. Sampel yang digunakan adalah kelas VII.1 dan VII.3, pengambilan sampel ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode angket, dokumentasi, observasi, dan tes. Data-data tersebut dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 74%-100%  aktivitas belajar siswa tergolong dalam kriteria aktif dan sangat aktif pada tiga kegiatan pembelajaran yang dilakukan, dan 77% siswa hasil belajarnya optimal (nilai hasil belajar ?80). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan kebun wisata pendidikan Unnes sebagai sumber belajar materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup dengan pendekatan jelajah alam sekitar yang diterapkan dapat mengoptimalkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa SMP Teuku Umar.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of the influence of type of Jigsaw cooperative learning model-assisted slide presentation on the learning achievements of  structure and function of animal tissues in MA Nadlatul Ulama Demak. This study was a research experiment one-shot Case Study. Sample of this study was the class XI and XI IPA IPA 1 2, determined by random sampling techniques. The success indicator of this study was at least 75% of students indicated  scored ? 70 learning achievement. The results of this study showed  the completeness results of studying in class XI IPA 1 was 80% of students and for  class XI IPA 2 was 83.33% of the students. Based on these results it was  concluded that the Jigsaw cooperative learning model-assisted slide presentation of learning could be effectively applied to the materials structure and function of animal tissues at  MA Nahdlatul Ulama Demak. The suggestions  was made for teachers to apply the Jigsaw cooperative learning model assisted by slide presentation in delivering learning material structure and function of animal tissues. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meneliti efektivitas pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw berbantuan media slide presentation terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran struktur dan fungsi jaringan hewan di MA Nahdlatul Ulama Demak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pre-eksperimen yang dilaksanakan dengan metode The one-shot Case Study. Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah kelas XI IPA 1 dan XI IPA 2 yang diambil dengan teknik random sampling dari tiga kelas yang ada. Keberhasilan dari penelitian ini adalah sekurang-kurangnya 75% siswa memperoleh nilai hasil belajar ? 70. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ketuntasan hasil belajar di kelas XI IPA 1 sebesar 80% siswa dan di kelas XI IPA 2 sebesar 83,33%  siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw berbantuan slide presentation efektif diterapkan pada pembelajaran materi struktur dan fungsi jaringan hewan di MA Nahdlatul Ulama Demak. Saran yang diajukan agar guru menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw berbantuan slide presentation dalam menyampaikan pembelajaran materi struktur dan fungsi jaringan hewan.
PENGARUH PENERAPAN STRATEGI DIVERGENT THINKING TERHADAP KREATIVITAS SISWA

Abstract

The aim of this research was to examined the effect of the divergent thinking learning strategy on student’s creativity of environmental pollution and waste recycling at SMA N 1 Ambarawa. This research was a quasi experimental design with pre-test and post-test control group design which was applied on X-3 as control group and X-5 as experimental group. Sample was collected by a cluster random sampling. Data of the implementation of divergent thinking strategy, the creativity process, and student’s activity were collected by observation. Test was used to collect data of student’s creativity. T-test of student’s creativity enhancement also indicated a significant difference. Regression test showed the number of sig. 0,007<0,05 with ? = 3,512 + 0,064X and 0,219 for determination coefficient. The inference of this research was the divergent thinking strategy had a possitive effect on student’s creativity, so the student’s creativity of experimental group was better than the control one. The usage of divergent thinking brought an effect on student’s creativity (21,9%). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh pembelajaran yang diselenggarakan dengan menerapkan strategi divergent thinking terhadap kreativitas siswa pada materi pencemaran lingkungan dan daur ulang limbah di SMA N 1 Ambarawa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimental design dengan pola pre-test and post-test control group design dan diterapkan pada kelas X3 sebagai kelas kontrol dan X5 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Pengambilan sampel secara cluster random sampling. Data pelaksanaan strategi divergent thinking oleh siswa dalam pembelajaran, proses kreatif, dan aktivitas siswa diperoleh melalui observasi. Tes digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data kreativitas siswa. Hasil uji t post-test menunjukkan perbedaan yang nyata dari kedua kelompok. Hasil yang signifikan juga ditunjukkan dalam uji t peningkatan kreativitas siswa. Hasil uji regresi menunjukkan angka sig. 0,007<0,05 dengan persamaan regresi ? = 3,512 + 0,064X dan koefisien determinasi dengan harga 0,219. Simpulan penelitian ini bahwa strategi divergent thinking berpengaruh positif terhadap kreativitas siswa, sehingga kreativitas siswa kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol. Penggunaan strategi divegent thinking memberikan pengaruh sebesar 21,9% terhadap kreativitas siswa.

Abstract

This research aimed to indentify the effect of the implementation of Inquiry-based Outdoor Learning on students’ learning achievement in Ecosystem at SMP N 2 Selopampang. This study was a Quasi Experimental Design with Pre and Post-test which was applied on the VII A class as a control group and VII B as an experimental group. Sample was collected by a convenience sample technique. Questionaire was used to collect data of inquiry based activity of students in Outdoor Learning. Tests were used to collect data of students’ cognitive learning achievement. Observation sheets were used to record student’s psychomotoric learning achievement, and physchology scale was used to measure students’ affective learning achievement. Data were analysed by quantitative methods. Data were analyzed by t-test and simple linear regression. T-test result showed that there were a significant difference between both groups (tcount > ttable). Linear regression indicated that inquiry based Outdoor Learning brought a significant effect on students’ learning achievement (sig. value <0.05). The conclusion of this research was that implementation of Inquiry-based Outdoor Learning approach had a significant effect on students’ learning achievement.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh Outdoor Learning berbasis inkuiri terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi ekosistem di SMP N 2 Selopampang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasi Experimental Design dengan pola Pre and Post-test Design yang diterapkan pada kelas VII A sebagai kelas kelompok kontrol dan VII B sebagai kelompok eksperimen. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Data aktivitas inkuiri siswa dalam Outdoor Learning dikumpulkan dengan angket yang diisi oleh siswa. Data hasil belajar dalam ranah kognitif siswa dikumpulkan dari tes materi ekosistem, data hasil belajar dalam ranah psikomotorik diperoleh melalui lembar observasi,  data hasil belajar dalam ranah afektif tentang peduli lingkungan dikumpulkan dengan skala psikologi siswa. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif. Data dianalisis dengan uji t dan analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil uji t menunjukkan perbedaan yang nyata dari kedua kelompok (thitung>ttabel). Hasil uji regresi linier sederhana mengindikasikan bahwa Outdoor Learning berbasis inkuiri berpengaruh secara nyata pada hasil belajar siswa (nilai sig.<0.05). Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan Outdoor Learning berbasis inkuiri berpengaruh  signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

The aims of this study was to describe the pedagogic and personal competences of the certified biology teachers  at  SMA Negeri  3 Semarang. It  used a qualitative  case  study approach.  Data was collected by  observation, interviews, and documents. The analysis activities included  collection, reduction, display and verification of data. The results showed that pedagogic competences were  different among biology teachers who managed  biology teaching management. Their biology lesson plans were good but less detailed, and less frequently used as a reference of teaching. The effort of teachers to make students more activite was good but still teacher-centered. Both  teachers’ lesson plan  and  their teaching activities did not yet reflect the nature of science biology teaching. Assessments were conducted regularly but not using authentic assessments. Biology teachers showed a matured personality, a good character and a strong self-esteem, and commitment. The pedagogical competences of teachers were not yet  best developed. They  had also strong and stable integrity. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kompetensi pedagogik dan kepribadian guru biologi bersertifikat pendidik di SMA Negeri 3 Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berdesain studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumen. Kegiatan analisis data meliputi pengumpulan, reduksi, penyajian, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi pedagogik masih dimaknai secara berbeda oleh guru biologi dalam mengekspresikan pengelolaan pembelajaran biologi. Struktur RPP biologi sudah baik tetapi kurang rinci, dan kurang digunakan sepenuhnya sebagai acuan pembelajaran guru. Usaha mengaktifkan siswa cukup baik tetapi pelaksanaan pembelajaran biologi masih berpusat pada guru. Baik perencanaan maupun pembelajaran kurang mencerminkan karakteristik biologi. Kegiatan penilaian dilakukan secara rutin tetapi belum menerapkan penilaian otentik yang tepat. Guru biologi telah menunjukkan adanya kematangan pribadi, akhlak dan keteladanan serta komitmen diri. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kompetensi pedagogik guru dalam pengelolaan pembelajaran cukup baik tetapi belum optimal dalam mengaplikasikan pengelolaan pembelajaran yang memenuhi hakekat sains. Guru biologi juga memiliki kemantapan dan integritas kepribadian cukup baik.
PENGEMBANGAN ASESMEN ALTERNATIF PORTOFOLIO IPA KELAS VIII MATERI SISTEM PEREDARAN DARAH MANUSIA

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a viable portfolio alternative assessment of science at SMP N 1 Girimarto Wonogiri. The design of this study was Research and Development (R & D). The research data were consisted of   the feasibility of portfolio alternative  assessment of science, learning activities and learning achievements of students of cognitive, affective and psychomotor. All data were analyzed using descriptive techniques percentage. The results showed that the assessment of  the expert of learning assesment and biology content materials indicated that the product was very viable and could be used as an alternative assessment of science, an average score of viability was 93%. The products were effectively utilized by students who were classified as the active and very active in their learning; students’ mastery learning, skills and interests during field tests 1, 2 and 3 were ? 85%, unless the skills of students in the second field test, ? 85%. This study produced the portfolio alternative assessment for human circulatory system that could be used for science subjects at SMP N 1 Girimarto Wonogiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan asesmen alternatif portofolio IPA yang layak digunakan pada mata pelajaran IPA di SMP N 1 Girimarto Wonogiri. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D). Data penelitian berupa kelayakan produk asesmen alternatif portofolio IPA, aktivitas belajar dan hasil belajar siswa aspek kognitif, afektif dan psikomotorik. Semua data penelitian tersebut dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pakar asesmen, pakar materi dan guru menyatakan produk yang dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan sebagai alternatif penilaian IPA dengan rata-rata kelayakan 93%. Produk ini efektif digunakan dengan persentase siswa yang aktif dan sangat aktif dalam pembelajaran, ketuntasan belajar siswa, keterampilan dan minat pada uji coba 1, 2 dan 3 sudah ?85%, kecuali keterampilan siswa pada uji coba 2, yaitu ?85%. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah telah dihasilkan asesmen alternatif portofolio IPA materi sistem peredaran darah manusia yang layak digunakan pada mata pelajaran IPA di SMP N 1 Girimarto Wonogiri.  
PEMBELAJARAN TANDUR BERBASIS TIK PADA MATERI PENGELOLAAN LINGKUNGAN

Abstract

This research aims to know whether TANDUR Teaching and learning process based on TIK has a positive effect on the students’ study result and activities on the subject of environment management. The research procedure used was one-shot case study. Independent variable in this research was TANDUR Teaching and learning process based on TIK, the dependent variable was study result, students’ activities. This study has a positive effect if the students’ achievement is  more than or equal 85% of the KKM which is 75, the students’ activity process more than or equal 75%.  The result of the research showed that classically the XI 1 grade students’ activities was 79,98%, XI 2 was 76,44%. The students result of XI 1 was 86,84%, XI 2 was 89,18% and it has reached the KKM, moreover the students and the teachers gave a positive response on TANDUR Teaching and learning process based on TIK. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that it has a positive effect on the students’ result and activities on environment management subject. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah pembelajaran TANDUR berbasis TIK berpengaruh positif terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pengelolaan lingkungan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah one shot case study. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran TANDUR berbasis TIK, variabel terikatnya adalah hasil belajar, aktivitas siswa. Pembelajaran ini berpengaruh positif apabila hasil belajar lebih dari sama dengan 85% siswa telah mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) yaitu 75, keaktifan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran lebih dari sama dengan 75%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara klasikal aktivitas siswa kelas XI 1 sebesar 79,98%, XI 2 sebesar 76,44%. Hasil belajar siswa kelas XI 1 sebesar 86,84%, XI 2 sebesar 89,18% telah mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal sebesar lebih dari sama dengan 75 serta siswa dan guru memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap pembelajaran TANDUR berbasis TIK. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Pembelajaran TANDUR berbasis TIK berpengaruh positif aktivitas dan hasil belajar pada materi pengelolaan lingkungan.
HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI PROTISTA AKIBAT PENERAPAN MODEL LEARNING CYCLE

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the student’s learning achievements onProtista at SMA Negeri 12 Semarang after the learning cycle models. Pre-experimental research with pretest and posttest group design was implemented in class X-8 and-9. The main data, the students’ learning achievements wererecorded by using the test and non test methods. The supporting data,consisted of student’s activities and teacher’s performances were collectedfrom the researcher’s observation, and student’s responses were collected byquestionnaires. The data were analyzed by N-gain test. The results showed that student’s learning achievements were increased from pretest to posttest with medium N-gain and ? 85% students were successfully passed; 90,73%students were active; and 81,75% students  indicated  positive responses to the learning implemented. The conclusion of this research was that learning cycle model was effective to be used to improve student’s learning achievements on Protista material at SMA Negeri 12 Semarang.   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil belajar siswa SMA Negeri 12 Semarang pada materi protista akibat penerapan model pembelajaran learning cycle. Penelitian pre-experimental design dengan pretest and posttest group design telah dilaksanakan pada kelas X-8 dan X-9. Data utama berupa data hasil belajar yang diperoleh dengan teknik tes dan non tes. Data pendukung terdiri dari data aktivitas siswa dan kinerja guru yang diperoleh dengan metode observasi, serta tanggapan siswa yang diperoleh dengan metode angket. Data dianalisis dengan uji N-gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan pretest ke posttest dengan N-gain sedang dan ?85% siswa tuntas; 90,73% siswa aktif dalam kegiatan  pembelajaran; kinerja guru telah mencapai kriteria baik;  serta 81,75% siswa memberi respon positif terhadap kegiatan pembelajaran yang telah dilaksanakan. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran dengan model learning cycle berakibat baik terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi protista di SMA Negeri 12 Semarang. 
ANALISIS REPRESENTASI SALINGTEMAS BUKU AJAR BIOLOGI KELAS XI SMA NEGERI SEKOTA SEMARANG

Abstract

The purpose  of this study was  to identify the ‘salingtemas’ representativeness (integration of science,environment, technology and community) of biology textbooks grade XI  and their compatibility with the textbook assessment instrument developed by BSNP  (national board for educational standard). The study used quantitave approaches for content analysis. Sample was collected by a purposive sampling technique, obtaining two biology textbooks published by ESIS (textbook 1), and by Erlangga (textbook 2). Data were analyzed  by descriptive statistic methods. The results showed that ‘salingtemas’ representativeness level of  the textbook 1 and 2, of both their core and practice materials,  were  48,33% and 48,135%,  under middle criteria. The compatibility of their content, language, and presentation of the biology textbooks grade XI with the  texbook assessment instrument from BSNP was as follows, textbook 1 was 86,21% and textbook 2 was 89,09%  under highly compatible criteria. On the other hand ‘salingtemas’ representativeness  of  the biology textbooks was under middle criteria (quitely represented) and their compatibility with the assessment instrument of the textbook from BSNP was high (higly compatible). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat representasi salingtemas pada buku ajar biologi kelas XI serta kesesuaian buku ajar biologi kelas XI dengan instrumen penilaian buku teks pelajaran dari BSNP. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode content analysis. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling, diperoleh dua buah buku ajar yaitu buku biologi terbitan ESIS (buku ajar 1), dan buku biologi terbitan Erlangga (buku ajar 2).  Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat  representasi salingtemas dalam substansi materi dan latihan pada buku ajar 1 sebesar 48,33%; buku ajar 2 sebesar 48,135% dengan kriteria sedang. Kesesuaian isi, bahasa, penyajian dengan instrumen penilaian buku teks pelajaran dari BSNP dalam buku ajar 1 sebesar 86,21%; buku ajar 2 sebesar 89,09% dengan kriteria sangat sesuai. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukan tingkat representasi salingtemas dalam substansi materi dan latihan pada buku ajar biologi kelas XI adalah sedang, dan kesesuaian isi, bahasa, penyajian buku ajar biologi kelas XI dengan instrumen penilaian buku teks pelajaran dari BSNP adalah sangat sesuai.
