Abstract

This study determined the development process and feasibility of  Comics of Biology Experimental Guide as a teaching material. This study used Research and Development (R & D). It was conducted at SMP 5 Semarang and SMP 21 Semarang. In obtaining the feasibility proof of this book as a teaching material, the study used questionnaire. Data were analyzed by using descriptive percentages. Based on the criteria of the feasibility, the results showed that this book guide is very feasible. It was able to achieve the graduation classical > 85% with KKM 75. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pengembangan Comics of Biology Experimental Guide dan kelayakannya sebagai bahan ajar. PENGEMBANGAN RUBRIK PENILAIAN PORTOFOLIO PROSES SAINS SISWA PADA MATERI EKOSISTEM

Abstract

Purpose of this study was to develop portofolio assessment rubrics of studentscientific processes on ecosystems. This study was Research and Development, using One Shot Case Study experimental design for its field-testing. The samples of this study were 135 yunior secondary school students (class VIIA, VIIB, VIIC, and VIIG). Research steps were as follows: problems and potential identification, data collection, product design, validation, field-testing and final production. Data were collected from (1) eligibility of portfolio assessment rubric of student scientific processes on ecosystems, (2) final scores of portfolios, and (3) student and teacher responses. Data was analyzed by descriptive percentages. ANOVA was used to identify the different average of portfolio scores.  The results showed that portofolio assessment rubrics could be used to assess students scientific processes on ecosystem. The average assessment scores from experts to the portfolio assessment rubrics of students’ scientific processes on ecosystem were 99.07% (very appropriate). The average assessment scores of  portfolio class VIIC during field testing were 73,47. Average scores of portfolio was follows: 75,56 (VIIA), 76,17 (VIIB), and 76,51 (VIIG). ANOVA test showed the average assessment of portfolio was not significantly different from other three the groups. A portfolio assessment was reliable or rubrics could be used well.  Student and teacher responses to portofolio assessment rubrics of students’ scientific processes on ecosystems was very good. The conclusions of this study was that the develop portofolio assessment rubrics of students’ scientific processes on ecosystem was able to be used for SMPNegeri 1 Wedarijakasa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan rubrik penilaian portofolio proses sains siswa materi ekosistem. Penelitian merupakan Research and Development, desain eksperiment menggunakan one shot case study. Sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VIIA, VIIB, VIIC dan VIIG berjumlah 135 siswa. Langkah-langkah penelitian meliputi analisis potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, uji coba produk, uji coba pemakaian dan produk final. Data penelitian berupa kelayakan rubrik penilaian portofolio proses sains siswa materi ekosistem, nilai portofolio, tanggapan siswa dan guru. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif persentase. Ada atau tidaknya perbedaan rata-rata nilai portofolio diuji menggunakan ANAVA. Hasil penelitian berupa rubrik penilaian portofolio proses sains siswa materi ekosistem. Rubrik penilaian portofolio proses sains siswa materi ekosistem sangat layak, nilai rata-rata kelayakan 99,07%. Rata-rata nilai portofolio kelas VIIC pada uji coba awal 73,47. Rata-rata nilai portofolio kelas VIIA, VIIB, dan VIIG pada uji coba pemakaian adalah 75,56 ; 76,17 dan 76,51. Hasil uji ANAVA rata-rata nilai portofolio tidak berbeda secara nyata atau ajeg. Tanggapan siswa dan guru terhadap rubrik penilaian portofolio proses sains sangat baik. Simpulan penelitian telah dihasilkan rubrik penilaian portofolio proses sains siswa yang layak dan baik digunakan pada materi ekosistem di SMPN 1 Wedarijaksa.

Abstract

This research is an action research. The research objective is to improve the management biology laboratory to support user performance and laboratory manager. Research conducted at SMAN 2 Wonogiri Biology laboratory in the second semester of academic year 2011/2012. Laboratory was used for practical activities, but has not been fully utilized because optimal management has not done. Research activity consists of four phases: planning, action, observation and reflection. Indicator of success is the performance of the users and managers of minimal laboratory showed that both criteria are in the range 50-75%. Performance criteria for teachers to get very good but there are still aspects of performance that has not reached 100% performance in preparing the lab for students. Performance of students gained on average very good, but the performance in carrying out practical activities and communicate the results practice obtain results less than 75%. Laboratory manager performance is very good but there are still aspects of performance that has not reached 100% the administrative performance. Improved management of biological laboratories capable of supporting users and managing the performance of SMAN 2Wonogiri Biology laboratory. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan atau action research. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk memperbaiki pengelolaan laboratorium Biologi guna menunjang kinerja pengguna dan pengelola laboratorium. Penelitian dilaksanakan di laboratorium Biologi SMA Negeri 2 Wonogiri pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2011/2012. Laboratorium sudah digunakan untuk kegiatan praktikum,tetapi belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal karena belum dilakukan pengelolaan yang optimal.Kegiatan penelitian terdiri atas empat tahap yaitu tahap perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Indikator keberhasilan adalah kinerja pengguna dan pengelola laboratorium minimal menunjukkan kriteria baik yaitu berada pada rentang 50-75%. Kinerja guru memperoleh kriteria sangat baik tetapi masih terdapat aspek kinerja yang belum mencapai 100% yaitu kinerja dalam menyiapkan praktikum untuk siswa. Kinerja siswa memperoleh rata-rata sangat baik, tetapi kinerja dalam melaksanakan kegiatan praktikum dan mengkomunikasikan hasil praktikum memperoleh hasil kurang dari 75%. Kinerja pengelola laboratorium sudah sangat baik tetapi masih terdapat aspek kinerja yang belum mencapai 100% yaitu kinerja administratif. Perbaikan pengelolaan laboratorium biologi mampu menunjang kinerja pengguna dan pengelola laboratorium BiologiSMA Negeri 2 Wonogiri.

Abstract

This research was aimed to identify the activities and students’ learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 1 Klirong on the fungi materials in learning cycle model. Learning cycle model was optimize if in the learning process, the students’ activities showed that ≥ 75% of students are active and very active, with students’ learning outcomes reached to score ≥ 80. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Klirong in class X.6 and X.7. Sample was taken by purposive sampling technique in one shot case study design.The data of this research consists of main and supporting data. The main data consists of the students’ activities by observation and the students’ learning outcomes were obtained  from  assignment, report, and  final test, while the supporting data consists of teacher’s perfomance by observation, teacher’s and students’ responses were collected by questionnaires. The results of this research showed that activities of all students in class X.6 dan X.7 are active and very active, with the students’ learning outcomes reached to score > 80. The conclusion was the application of learning cycle model can optimize of activities and students’ learning outcomes of SMA Negeri 1 Klirong on the fungi materials. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa SMA Negeri 1 Klirong pada materi jamur dalam pembelajaran model siklus belajar. Pembelajaran model siklus belajar dikatakan optimal apabila aktivitas siswa dalam proses pembelajaran menunjukkan  ≥ 75% siswa aktif dan sangat aktif, dengan hasil belajar mencapai ≥ 80. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Klirong pada kelas X.6 dan X.7. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling dengan desain penelitian one shot case study. Data dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari data utama dan data pendukung. Data utama terdiri dari data aktivitas siswa yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi dan hasil belajar siswa yang diperoleh dari nilai tugas, laporan, dan tes evaluasi akhir, sedangkan data pendukung terdiri dari kinerja guru yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi serta tanggapan siswa dan guru yang diperoleh dari lembar angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas seluruh siswa kelas X.6 dan X.7 mencapai kriteria aktif dan sangat aktif, dengan hasil belajar siswa mencapai skor > 80. Disimpulkan bahwa, pembelajaran model siklus belajar dapat mengoptimalkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa SMA Negeri 1 Klirong pada materi jamur..

Abstract

The aim of research determine difference between learning outcomes and student activity using learning model Picture and Picture assisted specimens on material Invertebrates. Research of design use one shoot case study. The sample was class X-1 and X-2 determined Total Sampling technique. The independent variable was learning model used Picture and Picture helped Invertebrates specimens, while dependent of variable was learning outcomes (LKS score and final exam score) and student activities. The activity student learning in classical style in class X-1 was 88% and X-2  was 86%. The cognitive learning outcomes students used  classical style in class X-1 was  93,78% and class X-2 was 88,8%. The outcomes data teacher performance in class X-1 and X-2 was very good, both classes indicated average grade of 15. The students response in class X-1 was 85.1% while in class X-2 was 93,8%. Teaching response toward method showed interest and agree using LKS models Picture and Picture helped Invertebrates specimens  appicated this study.The conclusions this study is application learning models Picture and Picture helped Invertebrates specimens method can increase activity students in classical style was 87% and student learning outcomes in classical style was 86.33% apply in senoir high school of Teuku Umar Semarang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran picture and picture berbantuan spesimen pada materi invertebrata. Desain penelitian ini one shoot case study. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas X-1 dan X-2 yang ditentukan dengan teknik total sampling. Variabel bebas berupa model pembelajaran Picture and Picture berbantuan spesimen Invertebrata, sedangkan variabel terikat berupa hasil belajar (nilai LKS dan nilai akhir) dan aktivitas siswa. Hasil belajar kognitif siswa secara klasikal kelas X-1 sebesar 93,78% dan kelas X-2 sebesar 88,88. Aktivitas siswa secara klasikal pada kelas X-1 sebesar 88% dan X-2 sebesar 86%.. Kinerja guru pada kelas X-1 dan X-2 sangat baik. Tanggapan siswa kelas X-1 sebesar 85,1% dan kelas X-2 sebesar 93,8%. Tanggapan guru menunjukkan bahwa guru tertarik dan setuju menggunakan media LKS dengan model Picture and Picture berbantuan spesimen Invertebrata yang diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah penerapan model pembelajaran Picture and Picture berbantuan spesimen pada materi Invertebrata dapat meningkatkan aktivitas siswa secara klasikal sebesar 87% dan hasil belajar siswa secara klasikal sebesar 86,33% di SMA Teuku Umar Semarang.

Abstract

The study is aimed to analyze the development process and effectiveness of learning suplement base POGIL in circulation system material. This is a Research and Development (R&D) work. The developed learning suplemen consist of students worksheet and learning videos, completed by syllabus and lesson plan as implementation guides. Learning suplemen base POGIL races students to find the material concept ourselves. There are question in students worksheet that guides students find concept by explore pictures, explanations, and videos. POGIL base learning promote students to develop essential skill, it is skill that important to interact in class. The developing process has several steps, it is problem and potension analysis, date collecting, product design, design validation, 1st revision, applied test, 2nd revision, usage test, 3th revision until established  final product. Learning supplement judged by material expert and curriculum expert respectively with percentage 84,6% and 100% (very valid criteria). Learning supplement effective in used in learning process of Junior High School proved by student’s completeness is 88,7%; high-activities students is 98,15%; teacher opinion is very good (100%); and students opinion is very good (88,45%). Metacognition skill develop by student’s self assessment as indicator. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji proses pengembangan dan efektivitas suplemen pembelajaran berbasis Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) pada materi sistem peredaran darah tingkat SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D). Suplemen pembelajaran yang dikembangkan terdiri atas LDS dan video pembelajaran, dilengkapi silabus dan RPP sebagai panduan pelaksanaan. Suplemen pembelajaran berbasis POGIL memacu siswa menemukan konsep materi dengan kemampuan sendiri. Pembelajaran berbasis POGIL memacu siswa mengembangkan kemampuan esensial, yaitu kemampuan untuk berinteraksi dalam masyarakat kelas. Pengembangan suplemen pembelajaran dilakukan melalui tahap analisis potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, mendesain produk, validasi desain, revisi I, uji coba keterterapan, revisi II, uji coba pemakaian, revisi III, dan menghasilkan produk final. Validator ahli materi dan ahli kurikulum menilai suplemen pembelajaran sangat valid berturut-turut dengan persentase 84,6% dan 100%. Suplemen pembelajaran yang dikembangkan efektif diterapkan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di SMP. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan ketuntasan belajar siswa 88,7%; siswa yang beraktifitas tinggi 98,15%; tanggapan guru sangat baik (100%); dan tanggapan siswa sangat baik (88,45%). Abstract

One type of learning processes that support the development of student competence in exploring and understanding the environment is a learning process with the model field study. The field study is a model of learning with the learning activities include a visit to a place outside the classroom are implemented as part of all academic activities, especially in order to achieve the learning objectives. The field study is a form of outdoor learning models using the original media in nature / environment. SMA Negeri 1 Gebog have a school environment that is quite extensive and can be used as learning resources such as lawn, garden classes, fish pond, and a school garden. In these places there are different kinds of living things can be a source of learning on biodiversity material. The results of the analysis of both classes can be seen that the average value of the two classes is was 82.5% with 87.5% classical completeness can be seen in the table, the data is more in the appendix. Activity learning materials biodiversity through fieldwork learning model by using the environment as a learning resource directing students to maximize learning and provide hands-on experience to students in learning. Salah satu jenis proses pembelajaran yang mendukung pengembangan kompetensi siswa dalam menjelajahi dan memahami alam sekitar adalah proses pembelajaran dengan model Studi lapangan. Studi lapangan adalah suatu model pembelajaran dengan kegiatan pembelajaran yang berupa kunjungan ke suatu tempat di luar kelas yang dilaksanakan sebagai bagian dari seluruh kegiatan akademis, terutama dalam rangka mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Studi lapangan merupakan suatu bentuk model pembelajaran di luar ruangan dengan memanfaatkan media asli yang ada di alam / lingkungan sekitar. SMA Negeri 1 Gebog mempunyai lingkungan sekolah yang cukup luas dan dapat digunakan sebagai sumber belajar seperti lapangan rumput, taman kelas, kolam ikan, dan kebun sekolah. Ditempat-tempat tersebut terdapat berbagai jenis makhluk hidup yang dapat dijadikan sumber belajar pada materi keanekaragaman hayati. Hasil analisis dari kedua kelas dapat diketahui bahwa nilai rata-rata dari kedua kelas adalah tersebut adalah 82,5% dengan ketuntasan klasikal 87,5%. Kegiatan pembelajaran materi keanekaragaman hayati melalui model pembelajaran Studi lapangan dengan memanfaatkan lingkungan sekitar sebagai sumber belajar mengarahkan siswa untuk memaksimalkan kemampuan belajar dan memberikan pengalaman langsung kepada siswa dalam belajar.
PENGEMBANGAN E-LEARNING BERBASIS MOODLE SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN SISTEM GERAK DI SMA

Abstract

Based on observations, schools have wifi facilities and adequate human resources to develop e-learning. In addition, globalization and student characteristics variety support development of e-learning also to overcome the lack of face to face learning in Motion System. This study aims to demonstrate the design of Moodle based e-learning that fit and feasibility which developed for Human Motion System. The research design that used is Research and Development with Pre test - Post test one group design. Media developed can be prepared by utilizing IT development. Clas of XA and XB Purbalingga 1 Senior High School are the research sample which determined convenience sampling. Learning outcomes show that all students at XA and XB have post test scored above Completeness Criteria (CC) with N-gain calculation, most of students give very good level of significance criteria. Student responses result showed 94.29% XB respond very good, 5.71% good, while 100% students of XA respond very good. Teacher responses showed that teachers interested in learning has been applied. Final product contains module, animation, ppt, games, atlases, articles, chat and discussion forums. Based on analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that Moodle-based e-learning feasible and effective applied to Motion System material. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, beberapa sekolah memiliki fasilitas wifi dan SDM yang memadai dikembangkannya e-learning. Selain itu, arus globalisasi dan beragamnya karakteristik siswa juga mendukung disusunnya e-learning untuk mengatasi keterbatasan face to face learning pada materi Sistem Gerak. Penelitian ini bertujuan menunjukkan desain produk e-learning berbasis Moodle yang sesuai dan layak untuk materi Sistem Gerak. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah  Research and Development dengan Pre test - Post test one group design. Media yang dikembangkan dapat disusun dengan memanfaatkan perkembangan IT. Sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas X A dan X B SMA N 1 Purbalingga yang ditentukan secara convenience sampling. Hasil belajar seluruh siswa kelas X A dan X B mendapat nilai post test diatas Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum (KKM) dengan hasil perhitungan N-gain sebagian besar siswa berada pada tingkat kriteria signifikansi sangat baik. Hasil tanggapan siswa menunjukkan 94,29% siswa kelas X B memberikan tanggapan baik dan 5,71% baik sedangkan 100% siswa X A memberikan tanggapan sangat baik. Tanggapan guru menunjukkan guru tertarik dengan pembelajaran yang telah diterapkan. Produk final berisi modul, animasi, ppt, games, atlas, artikel, chat dan forum diskusi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-learning berbasis moodle layak dan efektif diterapkan pada materi sistem gerak.
PENGEMBANGAN LEMBAR KERJA SISWA BERBASIS KARAKTER MATERI EKOSISTEM

Abstract

Student worksheets are integral parts of instructional models by which teachers create particular tasks to involve students in inquiry processes and character deveopment. This study was aimed at developing and field-testing the use of character-based biology worksheet on student achievement. It belonged to Research and Development with Pre-test Post-test Nonequivalent Control Group Design as field-testing design. Sample was collected by convenience sampling technique. T-test results showed significant difference between treated and non-treatedgroups (tcount > ttable). Simple linear regression test results showed that implementation of the character-based worksheet brought a significant effect on student achievement, namely post-test scores (probability sig.<0.05; r square 0.72) and affective score (probability sig.< 0.05; r square 0.62). The conclusion of this research was that character-based worksheet implementation had significant effect on student achievement. Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) merupakan bagian integral dari suatu model pembelajaran pilihan guru, namun belum  tentu tugas pada LKS  mendorong siswa terlibat dalam proses inkuiri biologi yang mendorong penanaman karakter, sementara itu, obyek dan fenomena ekosistem berpotensi untuk penanaman karakter. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menguji pengaruh LKS berbasis karakter terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development dengan pola Pre-test Post-test Nonequivalent Control Group Design yang diterapkan pada kelas VIIC sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIID sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Hasil uji T menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol (thitung > ttabel). Uji regresi linier sederhana menunjukkan bahwa penerapan LKS berbasis karakter berpengaruh terhadap nilai hasil belajar, yaitu skor post-test (nilai sig.< 0.05; r Square 0,72) dan skor afektif (nilai sig.< 0.05; r Square 0,62). Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah LKS berbasis karakter berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa.
PENGEMBANGAN LEMBAR KERJA SISWA BERBASIS MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES PADA MATERI PERTUMBUHAN DAN PERKEMBANGAN

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and assess feasibility of student worksheet on Growth and Development topics, based on multiple intelligences theory, as well as to measure the effectiveness of  the student worksheet. Research design used  was one of research and development modified from Sugiyono (2010), and was based on students’ intelligences identification and teaching materials analyzed. LKS validation results were analyzed with descriptive percentages. Small-scale testing was  carried out on 1 teacher and 12 students to assess worksheets legibility. Large-scale field-testing was carried out on one teacher and 36 students to measure student worksheets’ effectiveness. Results of student worksheet development based on multiple intelligences theory in terms of  its material feasibility aspects was  96,87% (obtained score) and media feasibility 89,56% under medium category. Normalized gain score was 0,65, indicating that  there was an increasing learning achievement  from pretest to posttest under medium category. Classical completeness of  students reached 88,89%. The use of  the student worksheet for  learning process was appreciated ‘ very good responses’ by  teachers and students, 100% and 88,69%. Student worksheet development  on the basis of multiple intelligence theories for  Growth and Development topics was  feasible and effectively applied for  learning. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengetahui kelayakan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis multiple intelligences pada materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan serta mengukur keefektifan LKS dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dimodifikasi dari Sugiyono (2010) berdasarkan hasil identifikasi kecerdasan siswa dan analisis kebutuhan bahan ajar. Hasil validasi LKS dianalisis dengan deskriptif persentase. Uji coba skala kecil dilakukan terhadap 1 guru dan 12 siswa untuk menilai keterbacaan LKS. Uji coba skala besar dilakukan terhadap 1 guru dan 36 siswa untuk mengukur efektivitas LKS dalam pembelajaran. Hasil pengembangan LKS berbasis multiple intelligences aspek kelayakan materi memperoleh skor 96,87% dan kelayakan media 89,56% dengan kategori sangat layak. Nilai gain ternormalisasi sebesar 0,65 menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar dari pretest ke posttest dengan kategori sedang. Ketuntasan klasikal siswa mencapai 88,89%. Penggunaan lembar kerja siswa dalam pembelajaran memperoleh tanggapan sangat baik dari guru dan siswa dengan persentase 100% dan 88,69%. Pengembangan lembar kerja siswa berbasis multiple intelligences pada materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan layak dan efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran.
