Abstract

The using approaches , methods , and models of learning that monotonous can cause less motivated students. The purpose of the research is for analizing the effectivity of the SAVI approach toward activity and result of students of SMA Negeri 1 Sragi on biodiversity material . The experiment held in SMA Negeri 1 Sragi Pekalongan second semester in the academic year of 2012/2013. Population of research is a SMA Negeri 1 Sragi students. The sample in this research was taken by purpose sampling. The research design using pre - experimental design approach that is One-Shot Case Study. Result of the research shown that  activity of students is 90% reached active and very active criteria. Result of completeness of study by student reach ≥ 75. Base on the result of research, we can conclude that SAVI approach is effective if it used in biodiversity material in senior high school.  Penggunaan pendekatan, metode, dan model pembelajaran yang monoton dapat mengakibatkan siswa kurang termotivasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis efektivitas pendekatan SAVI terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa SMA pada materi keanekaragaman hayati. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Sragi Pekalongan semester genap tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa SMA Negeri 1 Sragi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan purposive sampling. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan pendekatan pre-experimental design yaitu One-Shot Case Study. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas siswa sebesar 90% mencapai kriteria aktif dan sangat aktif. Hasil ketuntasan belajar siswa mencapai nilai ≥ 75. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan SAVI efektif diterapkan pada materi keanekaragaman hayati di SMA.

Abstract

Implementation of environment education (EE) at five elementary school at Limbangan district and Griya cahya in 2013 was needed a modul as a guidline. EE modul developed acording to BNSP, that modul consist of material feasibility, applied and efectiveness. Material validation by expert showed 100% feasibility percentage in stage I, 95.75 in stage II, and 92,35 media feasibility percentage. Small scale testing was carried out to five student of 1st Gonoharjo elementary school and five student of Griya Cahya used purposive random sampling method. Big scale testing was carried out to student in class IVa and IVb used pretest dan posttets control group design.T-test from N-gain of pretest and posttest showed there is a difference in increasing student knowledge of experimental class and control class. Psychology t-test showed the chages of student characters. The result were confirmed by 86,8% (very good) students percentage respond and 75% (good) teachers percentage respond. Based on this result, it can be concluded that the EE Modul can be used as a guidline to develop EE activities in elementary school and non-formal education because can increase knowledge and make students care with environment.  Implementasi pendidikan lingkungan hidup (PLH) pada lima sekolah dasar di kecamatan Limbangan dan Sanggar Griya Cahya tahun 2013 membutuhkan modul sebagai panduan pelaksanaanya. Modul PLH dikembangkan sesuai dengan BNSP, modul tersebut memuat kelayakan materi, keterterapan, dan  keefektifan. Validasi materi oleh pakar menunjukkan prosentase kelayakan 100% pada penilaian tahap I, 95.75% pada penilaian tahap II, dan prosentase kelayakan media sebesar 92.36%. Uji coba modul skala kecil dilakukan pada lima siswa sekolah dasar negeri 1 Gonoharjo dan lima siswa sanggar Griya Cahya menggunakan metode purposive random sampling. Uji coba skala besar dilakukan pada siswa kelas IVa dan IVb Lab School UNNES menggunakan pretest dan posttets control group design. Uji t nilai n-gain pretest-posttest menunjukkan ada perbedaan peningkatan pengetahuan siswa kelas experimen dan kontrol. Uji t skala psikologi menunjukkan adanya perbedaan perubahan karakter siswa. Hasil ini diperkuat dengan tanggapan siswa sebesar 86,8% (sangat baik) dan Guru sebesar 75% (baik). Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul PLH yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan sebagai pedoman pelaksanaan PLH di sekolah dasar maupun pendidikan non formal karena dapat menumbuhkan wawasan dan karakter peduli lingkungan.

Based on theresults ofthe studyconcludedthatbiologyworksheetswithguided inquiryapproachvalid, effective, andcan beappliedas amedium of learning.Penelitian awal menunjukkan bahwa Lembar Kerja Siswa yang selama ini digunakan kurang mengaktifkan siswa dan kurang memanfaatkan lingkungan sekitar siswa sebagai sumber belajar. Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan Lembar Kerja Siswa yang digunakan di SMP Negeri 23 Purworejo, mengembangkan, dan mengukur validitas, efektivitas, serta keterterapan. Karakteristik Lembar Kerja Siswa hasil pengembangan menggunakan lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar yang mendukung materi pengelolaan lingkungan, berisikan kegiatan yang mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar, aktivitas, dan keterampilan proses, serta lebih unggul secara fisik. Lembar Kerja Siswa hasil pengembangan diuji validitasnya dan dinyatakan sangat valid oleh kedua pakar dengan hasil penilaian 84% dan  siswa tuntas belajar ditunjukkan dengan 94%, 100% siswa aktif dan sangat aktif, siswa terampil dan sangat terampil 98,96%. Guru dan siswa memberikan tanggapan sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian Lembar Kerja Siswa dengan pendekatan inkuiri terbimbing valid, efektif, dan dapat diterapkan sebagai media pembelajaran.

Abstract

Tapioca liquid waste was discharge into the river without prior treatment caused pollution. Meanwhile polluted environment can be used as a learning resource. Learning resources in Jakenan senior high school only worksheet and material book that not all students have them, made teacher centered learning impact. The research aim to determine the eligibility of modules tapioca liquid waste as learning resources on subchapter waste and to determine modules application on learning outcome. The research design applied in this research is a Research and Development (R&D). The research has been conducted in first semester 2013/2014 in Jakenan senior high school. The subject of research was the students. The Product usage test samples taken by convenience sampling method. The expert judgment result of modules was developed  reached 91 %, student responses reached 94 %, teacher responded that the modules very feasible to used as learning resources and all students (100%) has reached the minimum mastery criteria set (72). Based on the results of the research modules eligible as learning resources.Limbah cair tapioka yang dialirkan ke sungai tanpa pengolahan terlebih dahulu mengakibatkan pencemaran. Lingkungan yang tercemar dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber belajar. Sumber belajar di SMA N 1 Jakenan hanya berupa LKS dan buku paket yang tidak semua siswa memiliki, menyebabkan pembelajaran berpusat pada guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan modul limbah cair tapioka sebagai sumber belajar pada submateri limbah dan untuk mengetahui penerapan modul terhadap hasil belajar. Desain yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Penelitian dilakukan pada Semester Gasal tahun ajaran 2013/2014 di SMA N 1 Jakenan. Sampel uji coba pemakaian produk diambil dengan metode convenience sampling. Hasil penilaian pakar terhadap modul yang dikembangkan 91 %, tanggapan siswa mencapai 94 %, guru menanggapi bahwa modul tersebut sangat layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar dan semua siswa (100%) telah mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal yang ditetapkan (72). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian modul yang dikembangkan layak dan digunakan sebagai sumber belajar.
PENERAPAN OUTDOOR LEARNING PROCESS (OLP) MENGGUNAKAN PAPAN KLASIFIKASI PADA MATERI KLASIFIKASI TUMBUHAN

Abstract

Outdoor Learning Process (OLP) strategies which uses classification board to provide convenience and hands-on experience to the students so that learning more meaningful. This research aimed to know effective implementation of OLP on plant classification learning using classification boards in SMA N 1 Jekulo. Design research was a pre experimental study using One shot case study design. Sampling was determined by purposive sampling technique. Samples obtained by the class X1, X2 and X3 were numbered 114 students. Data obtained from student activity, student learning outcomes, the data the teacher and student responses. OLP value of learning activities was obtained from the observation the observer, while the value of mastery of the material derived from plant classification worksheet students and post-test scores. The results showed that the activity of 90% of students included in the category of active and very active. In the classical mastery learning has reached optimum set the standard ≥ 75%. Based on the results of this study concluded that OLP use media effectively learn the classification board applied to the material of plant classification.  Strategi pembelajaran Outdoor Learning Process (OLP) menggunakan papan klasifikasi memberikan kemudahan dan pengalaman langsung pada siswa sehingga pembelajaran lebih bermakna. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas penerapan OLP pada pembelajaran klasifikasi tumbuhan menggunakan papan klasifikasi di SMA N 1 Jekulo. Desain penelitian adalah penelitian pre experimental menggunakan rancangan One shot case study. Pengambilan sampel ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling.Sampel yang diperoleh yaitu kelas X1, X2 dan X3 yang berjumlah 114 siswa. Data diperoleh dari aktivitas siswa, hasil belajar siswa, data tanggapan guru dan tanggapan siswa. Nilai aktivitas pembelajaran OLP diperoleh dari hasil pengamatan observer, sedangkan nilai penguasaan materi klasifikasi tumbuhan diperoleh dari lembar kerja siswa dan skor post-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas siswa sebesar 90% termasuk dalam kategori aktif dan sangat aktif. Ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal telah mencapai standar optimal yang ditetapkan yaitu ≥ 75%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa OLP menggunakan  media belajar papan klasifikasi efektif diterapkan pada materi klasifikasi tumbuhan.

Abstract

Website can be made as source and learning medium because of its application in helping students to understand the unprecise material. Web educative is a learning model of distance learning system with the use of IT-based interactive and virtual.The objective of the study as the learning resource was to find out the feasibility and the effectiveness in learning process. The type of the study was Research and Development (R&D). The data of this study were detemined from the feasibility validation of web educative by validator, student’s and teacher’s responses, and the last was student’s achievement. The result of web educative feasibility which was determined from the expert could be said very suitable with the average score 91%. Student’s completeness achievement with the score ≥78 in product trial reached 100% and 93% in application trial. The score 84% showed positive student’s response about this web educative. Based on this study, it can be concluded that the developing of web educative was very suitable to be applied in learning process especially in the material of self defenses; it also proved the effectiveness of this method in student’s achievement.Website dapat dijadikan media dan sumber belajar karena menyediakan banyak aplikasi yang membantu siswa memahami konsep materi yang abstrak. Web educative merupakan sebuah model pembelajaran sistem pembelajaran jarak jauh dengan pemanfaatan TI yang bersifat interaktif dan berbasis virtual. Tujuan pengembangan web educative sebagai sumber belajar materi sistem pertahanan tubuh adalah untuk mengetahui kelayakan dan keefektifan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D) melalui tahapan identifikasi potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, revisi desain, uji coba produk, revisi produk, uji coba pemakaian, revisi produk dan menghasilkan produk final.. Data yang diambil dalam penelitian ini adalah kelayakan web educative yang divalidasi validator, tanggapan siswa dan guru mengenai kelayakan web educative dan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa hasil penilaian kelayakan web educative dari pakar media dan materi memperoleh skor rata-rata 91% dengan kriteria sangat layak. Ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa dengan nilai ≥78 pada uji coba produk mencapai 100% dan pada uji coba pemakaian 93%. Siswa memberikan tanggapan yang baik dengan ditunjukkan perolehan skor rata-rata sebesar 84%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa web educative sangat layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar materi sistem pertahanan tubuh dan efektif terhadap hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Electronic School Book (BSE) developed by the government has not integrated multimedia contentinto the book. The development of today's technology supports multimedia content for insertion into an electronic book. This is a development research with the aim to develop and determine the feasibility of multimedia book to be used as teaching material. The effectiveness of multimedia book was tested through experiment using a pretest-posttest design study group to see its effect on learning outcomes and student activities. The study population in the trial product was the whole class VII as much as 8 classes (VII A - VII H) SMP 1 Jati. Sample research on small-scale trials by 10 students was determined by purposive sampling technique. Four classes (VII E - VII H) with a total of 138 students were used as experimental samples. The results showed that the multimedia book was suitable as teaching material. Student activities related to the use of multimedia book was high. Improved learning outcomes (gain score) was calculated based on the difference between the value of the posttest and the pretest value. Gain scores achieved by all students was 0.70 (high). Statistically, right-tailed t test confirmed that the student gain scores greater than or equal to the average gain of the benchmark scores of 0.7 (high).Buku Sekolah Elektronik (BSE) yang telah dikembangkan oleh pemerintah belum mengintegrasikan konten multimedia ke dalam buku. Perkembangan teknologi saat ini mendukung untuk penyisipan konten multimedia ke dalam buku elektronik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan tujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengetahui kelayakan multimedia book yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan ajar. Keefektifan multimedia book diuji melalui eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pretest-posttest group untuk melihat pengaruhnya terhadap hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa. Populasi penelitian pada uji coba produk yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VII sebanyak 8 kelas (VII A- VII H) SMP 1 Jati. Sampel penelitian pada uji coba skala kecil sebanyak 10 siswa ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian pada uji coba skala besar diambil menggunakan teknik purposive cluster sampling menghasilkan 4 kelas (VII E – VII H) sebanyak 138 siswa sebagai sampel eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa multimedia book sangat layak. Aktivitas siswa berkaitan dengan penggunaan multimedia book tergolong tinggi. Peningkatan hasil belajar (skor gain) dihitung berdasarkan selisih nilai posttest dengan nilai pretest. Skor gain yang dicapai oleh seluruh siswa sebesar 0,70 (tinggi). Secara statistik dengan uji t pihak kanan menegaskan bahwa skor gain siswa lebih dari atau sama dengan rata-rata acuan skor gain 0,7 (tinggi).

Abstract

The objective of this research is to describe the test items quality of Regency Biology Olympiad for SMA 2013 in Pacitan, Ponorogo, and Trenggalek regency. The quantitative data are difficulty level, discrimination index, distractor effectiveness, validity and reliability of test items. The qualitative data includes the appropriate test items viewed from the material, construction, and language. The research result shows that 32,5% items test have good quality quantitatively and qualitatively, 8% items test have good qualitity quantitatively but not qualitatively, 23,3% item test have good quality qualitatively but not quantitatively and 63,8 items test not good.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kualitas butir soal olimpiade biologi SMA tingkat kabupaten tahun 2013 di kabupaten Pacitan, Ponorogo dan Trenggalek. Data kuantitatif berupa tingkat kesukaran, daya pembeda, efektivitas distraktor, validitas dan reliabilitas soal. Data kualitatif penelitian berupa kesesuaian soal dari segi materi, konstruksi dan bahasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 32,5% soal sudah berkualitas baik secara kuantitatif maupun kualitatif, 8% soal baik secara kuantitatif tetapi tidak baik secara kualitatif, 23,3% soal baik secara kualitatif tetapi tidak baik secara kuantitatif dan 63,8% soal masih jelek.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is developing and knowing assess the feasibility of learning media digestive of food system with virtual laboratory in Junior High School. The research was conducted at Departement of Biology Semarang State University and Junior High School 13 Magelang with research design and development (Research and Development /R&D). The Product usage test samples taken by convenience sampling method. Assessment results matter experts and instructional media specialist showed a digestive system media with a virtual laboratory is very fit for use as a media of learning. Teachers responded that the media is very supportive to learning activities of biology. Students in product testing and product usage testing responded very well to the criteria for the use of instructional digestive system media accompanied virtual laboratory. The trial results showed a classical learning outcomes students achieve 86.60%  KKM ≥75. Based on the results of the research study media of digestive system accompanied virtual laboratory fit for use as a media of learning biology in Junior High School.Tujuanpenelitianiniadalahmengembangkandanmengetahuikelayakan media pembelajaransistempencernaanmakanandisertaivirtual laboratory di SMP. Abstract

The change of curriculum raises a number of perceptions which can be devided into two classifications, namely: the affirmative (pros) and the negative (cons). However, there is only a little information about teachers’ perceptions itself. The teachers’ perceptions influence on learning behaviors that are important in determining the success of a curriculum innovation. This research aims to describe the perceptions or the beliefs of Biology teachers to the 2013 Curriculum. This research was a survey to all grade X Biology teachers that conducted at several high schools in Semarang during the second semester of academic year 2012/2013. The total sample was determined by the Isaac and Michael’s formula and they were taken randomly. The data were taken using the instrument of psychological scale questionaire about high school Biology teachers’ perceptions to the 2013 Curriculum. The results showed that 60% of high school Biology teachers in Semarang had a strong belief in the 2013 Curriculum and 40% of the teachers have a moderate belief. The teachers believed that 2013 Curriculum had its benefits, easily implemented and the teachers were able to implement the curriculum.Perubahan kurikulum menimbulkan dua pendapat, yaitu pendapat yang setuju (pro) dan pendapat yang menolak (kontra). Namun, masih sedikit informasi mengenai persepsi atau beliefs dari guru biologi sendiri. Persepsi guru berpengaruh pada perilaku pembelajarannya yang penting dalam menentukan keberhasilan suatu inovasi kurikulum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi atau beliefs guru biologi SMA terhadap Kurikulum 2013.  Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei yang dilakukan terhadap guru biologi SMA kelas X se-Kota Semarang pada Semester Genap tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Jumlah sampel ditentukan dengan rumus Isaac dan Michael dan sampel diambil secara acak. Data diambil menggunakan instrumen kuesioner skala psikologi tentang persepsi guru biologi SMA terhadap Kurikulum 2013. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 60%  guru biologi di SMA se-Kota Semarang memiliki tingkat persepsi yang tinggi terhadap Kurikulum 2013 dan 40% memiliki tingkat persepsi sedang. Guru meyakini bahwa Kurikulum 2013 memiliki manfaat, mudah dilaksanakan dan guru mampu untuk melaksanakan kurikulum.
