Abstract

This research aims to know the influence of guided inquiry learning with flash based Invertebramedia on the learning outcome of senior high school students. The research was done in SMA N 1 Pamotan using Quasi Experimental Design. The sample of the study was X MIPA 1 class (experimental group) and X MIPA 2 class (control group) which was taken by purposive sampling technique. The results showed that there were increasing of cognitive’s learning outcome of the experiment group was 80% and control group was 34.2%. There was a significant difference in the average of cognitive learning outcomes of the experimental group and control group. Analysis of affective and psychomotor aspects showed that learning outcome the experimental group higher that the control group. So, the activity of students during learning process was enchancement. The average of the student’s questionnaire responses after joining the learning was 84.9% in good criteria. The teacher and the students also gave good responses on the implementation of the learning in general. The conclusion of the research is the application of guided inquiry learning with Invertebramedia based on flash influence on high school student’s learning outcomes.

Abstract

Teaching and Learning process through practice and simulation method direct the students to understand the concept better. This research aimed to find out the students’ achievement in the implementation of practice and simulation method on the ecosystem material as well as the students’ attitude toward the method given. The design of this research was quasi-experimental research. The population of this research was tenth-grade students of senior high school 2 Bae Kudus.The purposive sampling technique was used to choose the sample. The sample that is chosen was X MIPA 3 class (experimental class) and X MIPA 4 (Control class). Based on t-test result, the value of significance (2-tailed) amount 0,00 was obtained. Thedataof this research showed the value of significance < 0,05. It was proved that there is a significant difference on the students’ achievement between the experimental class and the control class.The students’ achievement average of the experimental class was 77,78 and the average in the control class was 57,02.Total of the students who gave the positive response toward practice and simulation method was 77,78%. The implementation of the practice and simulation method directed the students to understand the material being studied better so the students’ achievement becomes optimum.

Abstract

This aims of this research is to determine the application of NHT learning to student learning outcomes on the material of excretion system. The learning outcomes from this research is the result of learning in the affective and cognitive domain. Research with form of Pre-Experimental Design was held at SMPN 9 Semarang with class VIII D and VIII E as a research sample. Affective learning results show that 62,50% of students are in good categories and 29,69% are in very good category. The results of the N-gain test on students cognitive learning outcomes obtained from the posttest showed a gain of 0,61 with the medium improvement category. The final value analysis shows that 100% of students have complete their learning. Relatively, students give positive responses to the learning method that applied.  Learning is accomplished with a value 90% on very high implementation criteria. The conclusion of this research is the method of learning using NHT method can improve student learning outcomes in the material excretion system

Abstract

Practicum become an appropriate method to give provisions in empirical experience especially for college student of Biology Education. Practicum was believed could show university students’ innovative behavior. The concrete form from using practicum method is learning model application that include learning syntax from the beginning to the end. Therefore, a research was did to analyze relation between practicum method towards innovative behaviour and the effectivity of it. Based on the result of regression analysis, all models give significance value p < 0.05 so could be known that every learning model give significance influence toward the formation of university students’ innovative behavior. Based on correlation coefficient analysis could be known that PJBL learning model give contribution value of 86.2% followed by guided inquiry of 85.4%, experiment model of 76.3% and observation model with contribution value of 64.7% toward the formation of university students’ innovative behavior. Based on the results of variance similarity analysis could be known that PJBL model is the most effictive model to form innovative behavior with difference value of 17.80 compared with other learning models. The result of research showing that all of the learning models when used on practicum relating the formation of innovative behaviour. Project based learning model gave contribution most effective towards innovative behaviour of the college students in Biology Education study program.

Abstract

Laboratory activities and environment utilization around Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Salafiyah Pati Central Java has not been done completely in biology learning.  As a result, student learning outcomes are less than optimal. The problem is predicted by Window Shopping (WS) learning model and the surrounding nature roaming approach (JAS) as an alternative learning. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of WS learning model and JAS approach on ecosystem material in MA Salafiyah Pati Central of Java. This type of research is Quasy Experimental using Pretest-Postetst Design. The population was nine class of X. The sampling was XE class (control), XF (WS accompanied by JAS), and XG (JAS). Samples were taken using purposive sampling technique. The research variables are cognitive learning outcomes, affectiveand psychomotor. Class of WS and JAS of  N-gain is high category, the highest grade average grade and  percentage of classical completeness higest. All classes get affective and psychomotor value with very good criteria. Based on these result can be concluded that use of learning models WS and JAS on ecosystem materials in MA Salafiyah Pati Central of Java effectively improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of the model Think-Pair-Share (TPS) implementation to knowledge mastery capabilities and oral communication skills of high school students. This is an experimental quasi research with nonequivalent control group design. Population include all students of class X MIPA High School 1 Subah with sample classes X MIPA 1 as experiment class and X MIPA 2 as control class determined by purposive sampling that teacher suggested. The result of t-test shows the significant difference of average posttest grade between experiment and control classes. The increase of learning result experimental class 0,39 (mean), ie from 71,76 become 82,54 while control class 0,18 (low), ie from 70,25 become 75,34. The t-test result also shows a significant difference grade of oral communication skill between the experimental and control classes. The average score of oral communication skill of experiment 78,33, better than control 67,15. This shows that the TPS model has a positive influence on the ability of mastery knowledge and students oral communication skills. This is supported by the good responses from students and teacher toward model TPS implementation in environmental change learning.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze collaborative skill through guided inquiry strategy on cell bioprocess material and analyzerelationships of collaborative skill with students cognitive result. Student’s collaborative skill which assessed were student’s participation in experimental activities, students’s participation in discussion activities, adaptation in grup and flexible work. This research method uses one shot case study with pre-experimental design. The subjects of this study were students of class XI MIPA 1, XI MIPA 2 and XI MIPA 3 with a total of 107 students. The collaborative skill of student’s assessed using observation, self-assessment and peer assessment. Then the results of the assessment were correlated with student cognitive study results. A total of 91.6% of students have excellent collaborative skills and 8.4% of students have good category. The correlation test results showed that there is a positive relationship between collaborative skill and student test result. It can be concluded that guided inquiry strategy is effective toward students collaborative skill and gives positive relationship between collaborative skill and students cognitive result

Abstract

Learning Biology on subject of reproductive system often only emphasizes biological aspects rather than reproductive health education aspects. This study aims to identify the effect of problem based learning (PBL) assisted with Facebook on learning achievment, reproductive health awareness, and the relationship of learning achievment with reproductive health awareness. The design of this research is quasi experiment with non-equivalent control group design pattern. The population is all students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Jakenan. This research used purposive sampling technique obtained from class XI IPA 2 (40 students) as experiment group and XI IPA 3 (42 students) as control group. The implementation of learning is measured by observation sheet and student responses to learning activities. The score of learning result obtained through posttest. The awareness of reproductive health is measured through the scale of reproductive health awareness. The data of this research were analyzed quantitatively with the help of Ms.Excel software and SPSS version 23. The results showed that PBL that assisted with Facebook had a significant effect on learning achievment and students awareness of reproductive health. According to the correlation test, there is a very strong positive relationship between student learning achievment and students awareness of reproductive health.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran ARCS metode Talking stick pada materi Sistem Pencernaan Makanan terhadap motivasi, dan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MTs Negeri 1 Bobotsari pada semester gasal tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII yang terbagi dalam 7 kelas, sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII D dan VIII E yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian berupa data hasil belajar, motivasi belajar siswa, tanggapan siswa, dan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Data hasil belajar siswa dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan N-gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan ARCS dengan metode Talking stick pada kelas eksperimen berbeda terhadap kelas kontrol dengan analisis hasil posttest, uji t menunjukkan thitung 8,29 > ttabel 1,67 dengan taraf signifikan 0,05. Analisis motivasi siswa kelas eksperimen dengan kriteria sangat tinggi sebesar 89,47% sedangkan pada kelas kontrol dengan kriteria  tinggi sebesar 47,22 %. Siswa memberikan tanggapan baik terhadap pembelajaran ARCS dengan metode Talking stick karena membantu siswa memahami materi sistem pencernaan makanan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran ARCS dengan metode Talking stick berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa materi sistem pencernaan makanan. The results showed that learning with ARCS by Talking stick method in different experimental class to control class with posttest result analysis, t test showed tcalct 8,29> ttable 1,67 with significant level 0,05. Motivation analysis of experimental class students with very high criteria of 89.47% while in the control class with high criterion of 47.22%. Students respond well to ARCS learning with Talking stick method because it helps students understand the material of digestion system of food. Based on the results of research can be concluded that learning ARCS with Talking stick method positively affect the motivation and student learning outcomes material digestion system food.

Abstract

Creative thinking is an ability of creating a new thought as a result from combination of previous knowledge. It is needed to be developed in the 21st century because it is importance in work world. This study aims to analyze the students’ creative thinking of SMA N 1 Pecangaan on environmental material. The research used observational method. Population is whole students of tenth grade of SMA N 1 Pecangaan. The samples used purposive samplings were X MIA 1, X MIA 2 and X MIA 4 with total number 116 students. The students’ creative thinking was tested by essay test and instrument non-test which is scoring rubric of writing article about environment problems. The result showed that students’ creative thinking of SMA N 1 Pecangaan in answering question is 14.7% very creative, 31% creative, 20.7% creative enough and 33.6% less creative. The students’ ability in writing article showed 0% very creative, 16.4% creative, 30% creative enough, 49.1% less creative and 4.3% not creative. The research concluded that the creative thinking ability of students SMA N 1 Pecangaan is low. The highest aspects of creative thinking that is reached by students are originality and fluency, while the lowest is elaboration.
