Abstract

Schools are actually places where the teaching and learning process takes place as well as a place for the growth and development of a person. Comfort in studying at school is an important factor to support an effective learning process, but in today's modern era schools are often a place for students to bully. We can prevent bullying by raising awareness in children about the dangers of bullying. This awareness raising can be started from providing understanding related to bullying and cultivating moral values. In an effort to achieve this goal, an appropriate media is needed to convey information related to intimidation. Through the science of visual communication design, the author provides an alternative means of conveying knowledge related to bullying through stories conveyed in the form of picture books written by Tramaine William in response to the phenomenon of bullying in children. The work was designed in the study project "Designing Bright and The Bully Picture Book as a Response to the Phenomenon of Bullying in Children". The picture book design process is carried out using digital techniques using Adobe Photoshop software. The design process is a stage of the production process, namely the pre process, the production process, and the post process. Illustrations Everything in the picture book is a representation of the story Bright and The Bully. All of these works were reviewed through their specifications, descriptions, and analyzes. Judging from the analysis results in terms of aesthetics and illustrative, this picture book work has a cute and colorful illustrative appearance. In communication analysis, this work represents a story with various communicative illustrations. It is hoped that this work can educate and instill moral values ​​in children related to bullying.

Abstract

The Webtoon comic "The Love Story of Baridin and Ratminah” was created with the aim of applying the skills of writers during their college years in the Fine Arts department, and was also made to preserve Cirebon's regional culture, namely the performance arts of Tarling Baridin and Ratminah, which are now becoming rare. This work was created as a promotional medium for House Of Imagi Studio, as a comic studio. The process of creating the Webtoon comic "The Love Story of Baridin and Ratminah" is carried out in 4 stages, namely, preliminary plans (finding ideas, collecting data, analyzing target audiences, determining the concept of the work, and selecting materials), pre-production (designing comic assets, designing characters, designing background, text selection, storyboard design, word balloon selection), production (the process of making illustrations, editing comics, composing comics, consulting with lecturer, consulting with clients), and post-production (designing supporting media, pre-exhibition). The design of the Webtoon comic book "The Love Story of Baridin and Ratminah" has produced 3 works, 1 main work and 2 supporting works. The Webtoon comic “The Love Story of Baridin and Ratminah” includes a message style theory, visual language, art principles, and visual figures.

Abstract

Widuri Beach in Pemalang City was closed due to the corona virus pandemic and decrease the number of visitors. To increase that number, stakeholder must recalling people tough about tourism activity in Widuri Beach . There are various type of attractions, a natural beach, a swimming pool and cultural tours of the Sheikh's tomb. The author tries to positioning Widuri Beach as a Nature and Religion Tourism to target a new market. To achieve that, a new identity is needed to communicate new image of Widuri Beach with the right media. There are two categories of media, primary media in the form of billboards placed in strategic spots. And secondary media as digital and conventional in the form of poster, stand banner, brochure, ticket, and merchandises. The design process goes through several stages; pre-production, production and post-production. After completed all stages, a new logo was created and can be use in to branding processes.

Abstract

Tenun Ikat Dayak Sintang merupakan warisan budaya yang menjadi salah satu identitas dan bagian dalam kehidupan masyarakat Dayak Sintang. Tenun Ikat Dayak Sintang lahir dari unsur unsur kebudayaan yang membentuk masyarakat Dayak Sintang. Motif motif yang dikembangkan dalam tenun ikat Dayak Sintang diadopsi dari beragam objek yang berasal dari flora, fauna, peralatan hidup, kepercayaan, dan cerita yang berasal dari lingkungan hidup penenun. Motif motif pada kain tenun menjadi sarana pengingat bagi pemakai dan berisi nilai-nilai yang dipegang oleh masyarakat dayak. Makna yang terkandung dalam motif Tenun Ikat Dayak Sintang diturunkan secara lisan dari generasi ke generasi. Penurunan makna secara lisan mengakibatkan mudahnya terjadi pergeseran makna, oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan pengkajian dan pendokumentasian makna secara tertulis, sehingga makna yang diturunkan selalu sama. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan antropologi interpretative. Dengan melihat makna Tenun Ikat Dayak Sintang dalam sudut pandang masyarakat pemilik kebudayaan, sehingga makna yang ditangkap benar berasal dari kepercayaan dan kehidupan masyarakat Dayak Sintang

Abstract

Perancangan ini dilakukan dengan merancang batik Kudus dengan Menara Kudus sebagai sumber ide visual. Tujuan dari perancangan motif ini adalah untuk menunjukkan potensi dan sejarah Kudus yang masih ada dan harus dilestarikan serta memberikan alternatif desain baru untuk meningkatkan minat pelanggan terhadap batik Kudus. Metode perancangan yang digunakan adalah teori perancangan Colin Clipson dan beberapa tahapan pengumpulan data berupa studi pustaka dan survei lapangan, yang meliputi studi kepustakaan, observasi, studi visual, studi banding, dan studi proses produksi. Hasil dari perancangan batik ini adalah sebagai berikut: 1) Perancangan ini menghasilkan motif visual Menara Kudus yang diolah dengan menggunakan penggayaan stilasi sebagai motif utamanya. 2) Desain ini menghasilkan tiga item batik dengan motif Menara Kudus. Teknik yang digunakan dalam perancangan ini adalah batik tulis tangan yang diaplikasikan pada kain satin primisima dengan pewarna remasol.

Abstract

Kebersihan dan kenyamanan lingkungan tempat tinggal sangatlah berpengaruh pada kondisi kesehatan penghuninya. Sedangkan dimasa pandemi Covid-19 kesehatan merupakan salah satu faktor yang sangat krusial. Karna itu perlu adanya peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat terkait kelayakan tempat tinggal yang mereka huni sebagai salah satu aspek dari Rumah Sehat. Rumah Sehat adalah rumah yang memiliki standardisasi layak huni dan mampu memenuhi kebutuhan baik psikologis maupun fisiologis bagi penghuninya agar terhindar dari penyakit. Mengingat masih banyaknya ketidaktahuan masyarakat mengenai konsep Rumah Sehat yang layak huni, maka dibutuhkan sosialisasi terkait topik tersebut dalam bentuk yang mudah diterima oleh masyarakat yaitu infografis. Sosialisasi akan dilakukan kepada warga Desa Suci, Kabupaten Gresik yang juga masih belum teredukasi secara merata mengenai lingkungan bersih dan rumah layak huni/Rumah Sehat. Melalui Infografis ini, masyarakat terutama warga Desa Suci diharapkan mampu mendapatkan manfaat terkait edukasi mengenai Rumah Sehat yang dibagikan lewat sosial media.

Abstract

For a new coffeeshops, Tjilik Coffee has have a basic problems such as the absence of an identity that can be a characteristic of coffeeshops and problems regarding the types of promotions and effective media used as promotional media. The design of visual identity and its application in promotional media is a solution that is considered to be able to overcome the problem of Tjilik Coffee and can form a characteristic that can increase the selling value of the coffee shop in the eyes of the community. In addition, visual identity design can also be a medium to introduce Tjilik Coffee's identity with a wider reach. The visual identity design is determined using the classic main theme and is divided into several printed and online media with several stages including preliminary, pre-production, production, and post-production. In addition, the printing techniques used to print promotional media include digital printing, translucent printing/screen printing, and embroidery. Visual identity design which is then applied to promotional media produces works in the form of logos, stationery sets (business cards, envelopes with letterhead, folders, notebooks), brochures, posters, packaging (ice cups, hot cups, coffee bean packaging), uniforms, vehicles , booths, merchandise (t-shirts, totebags, patches, lighters, keychains), and digital content. Some of the promotional media produced are media that are considered needed by management in improving the name of Tjilik Coffee because they have persuasive, informative, and media support properties. With the creating a visual identity, hoped can improve and help the name of Tjilik Coffee in the visual field as a coffeeshop that has distinctive characteristics and is expected to expand the targeted market segmentation optimally, and can provide a good image in the public.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memfokuskan permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh salah satu biro perjalanan Haji dan Umrah di Karawang, yakni Nursalam Travel. Permasalahan dirumuskan sebagai kurangnya kesadaran pemilik bisnis mengenai pentingnya brand awareness dan manajemen promosi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu rancangan identitas visual yang akan diaplikasikan pada media promosi. Kontribusi perancangan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan citra pelaku usaha dan meningkat omset penjualan jasa. Perancangan identitas visual ini dilakukan dalam beberapa tahap, yakni pra produksi, produksi, dan pasca produksi. Desain yang dirancang sebagai media promosi dalam penelitian ini yaitu stationary, brochure, poster, seragam karyawan, car branding, merchandise, dan media sosial. Penelitian ini menghasilkan rancangan identitas visual dan aplikasinya untuk media promosi bagi “Nursalam Travel” sehingga diharapkan mampu menampilkan citra brand yang positif dan professional pada masyarakat. Hasil penelitian ini juga diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak yang positif bagi pemilik usaha dalam memasarkan jasanya.
