Abstract

In the era of modernization, the language of visual communication has a significant development. Visual communication devices have changed and moved with process capabilities and speeds are constantly updated, thus providing the convenience as well as challenges for the user by using these facilities in a timely manner. The discipline of Typography has an important role in determining a success of the art form of communication. Unfortunately, this discipline received less attention in the world of graphic design in Indonesia. As the response, the writer in the study project entitled "Decorative Variety at Gedong Songo Temple Semarang as Inspiration of Typeface Design" tries to contribute through typography work in the form of letters with decorative vines in Gedong Songo Temple Semarang as inspiration. The work is produced in the form of text letters and display letters and the application of it to various media and merchandise. From the whole process of design to the distribution of the work could be concluded that the authors are able to contribute through the design of typeface Gedong Songo to advance the world of typography of Indonesia and in the preservation of Indonesia's cultural heritage. expected through this project would inspire other designers to work as well as preserve the Indonesian cultural heritage, and can increase public awareness to participate in the preservation of Indonesian culture through their own way.

Abstract

This study project raises the issue of Jambi people's cultural tradition with the rapid development of technology, enabling a change of cultural values. Jambi cultural traditions can be seen from the cultural elements of living equipment systems include traditional traditional dress and economic system covering the livehood of batik and hunting by the Suku Anak Dalam. Then the problem is the author embodied into the form of textile art with visualization of the imagination of the author using textiles, yarn and beads. The work made through the process of searching the source of ideas and references by visiting the museum of Negeri Jambi and Seberang Jambi City, make, move the sket to the fabric, sew patchwork in the end by adding details using threads and beads. The resulting work has a variety of sizes 100 cm x 150 cm and 50 cm x 75 cm. the author produces textile artwork that has a texture impression that can not only be seen but also can be felt with hand touch.

Abstract

Griya Batik Brotoseno is the oldest batik central in Kliwonan village. It is established since 1974 by Mr. H. Suprajan with an address in Kuyang, Kliwonan village, Masaran sprouts, Sragen district, Central Java. The effective and efficient Batik Brotoseno for promoting and boosting sales so Batik Brotoseno can survive in stiff competition. Promotion media designing methods is conducted by analyzing, target audience, then find an idea and consult with the client, and then for the production process are preparing tools, sketching, promotion media designing, printing and prototyping the works, and determining the placement or media targets. Promotion media is designed by improving the exist media such as brochure, bill, stationery set, kemasan and adding merchandise. In promotion media is applied of visual elements of batik flora and fauna motives were lifted by Griya Batik Brotoseno.

Abstract

Nowadays, the field of business and trade is heavily influenced by the development of information technology, especially in Internet use. With Internet capabilities that can transmit various forms of data such as writing, graphics, images, sound, animation, or even video, many businesses are utilizing this technology by creating a website to promote their business. Marketing by using websites is more efficient and relatively inexpensive compared to conventional methods that require high costs. Dream Shoe, one of the local businesses that provides unique fashion handmade shoes made in Indonesia can utilize this condition to expand the reach of its promotional area by adding a website as one of their promotional media. Website creation can be utilized by the Dream Shoe as a promotional media in the form of information provider about the product owned by Dream Shoes, the website can also serve as an online sales media so that interested people who want to Buy product Dream Shoes can directly buy it through the website without having to come to the store.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to produce a promotional media design in the form of pamphlets, uniforms, vehicles, merchandise, stationary sets, company profiles, website design and x-banner for drinking water in SNOW brand packaging in Semarang The design of this promotional media through the stages of the work process with a sequence of preliminary processes which includes the search for ideas, setting the goals of the work, data collection, SWOT analysis, setting the concept of work, and media selection. The pre-production process includes the preparation of tools and idea-seeking strategies. Production includes rough sketches, vectorization, design refinements, advisory counselors and client consultations, and final art. Presentation of works includes printing and exhibition. In the design of promotional media, work analysis is carried out to produce a good promotional media design. The analysis of the work includes several aspects including technical aspects, aesthetic aspects, and communication aspects. By designing promotional media works, it works to increase brand awareness of SNOW bottlenecks in the eyes of consumers, so that it can influence consumers to consume SNOW products. Suggestions that can be put forward, the design of this promotional media can be realized, so as to increase brand awareness and introduce its products on a broader scale
