Abstract

Analysis of Operating Revenues Peanut Crisp at UD Sari Murni Carangsari Village Petang District of Badung RegencyMicro, small and medium enterprises in Indonesia is growing very rapidly. Crunchy peanut businesses began to flourish in Badung Regency. The magnitude of the difference between the needs and abilities of the crunchy peanut production is a lucrative business opportunity. One of them is UD Sari Murni. The profit analysis is generally used to evaluate the activity of an industrial business in  a particular period. The purpose of this study was to determine the number and the value of sales of crunchy peanut at UD Sari Murni and its profits earned. The period of data used in this study was the data for one year of 2014.The results of the research showed that UD. Sari Murni is classified as small business, labor-intensive and agriculture-based company. The growth of labor of UD Sari Murni in 2010 through 2014 amounted to 1.25% with an average percentage increase in employment amounted to 21.25%. UD Sari Murni has a vision and mission which are the requirements of a company.There are three processes of the crunchy peanut production cycle at UD Sari Murni, namely: the provision of raw materials, production processes and packaging, as well as crunchy peanut sales process. Patterns of production used by UD Sari Murni were a combination of  constant pattern and fluctuated pattern. Profits earned by UD Sari Murni wasRp.242,096,028.33. But there were still technical obstacles i.e. lack of raw materials, labor shortages, and inadequate processing technology,as well as the presence of obstacles in the social aspect, which is associated with religious ceremonies.

Abstract

Farmers Behavior of Subak Members toward the Land Optimization Program (OPLA) on Rice Cultivation (the Case of Subak Tegan, Kapal Village, Mengwi District, Badung Regency)Food security is very important since it is one of the determining factors in the national stability of a State in the fields of economy, security, political and social. Bali has an organization called Subak, which supports activities in the agricultural sector. The government of Badung regency through the Department of Agriculture, Plantation and Forestry will implement special measures, Optimization of Land (OPLA) by providing inputs. Farmers behavior certainly indicates a different view regarding the Land Optimization program. The purpose of this research is to determine the level of knowledge, attitude and application of farmers to land optimization program (OPLA) on rice cultivation in Subak Tegan. This research was conducted in Subak Tegan, Kapal Village, Mengwi District, Badung Regency. The population of Subak Tegan is 389 people. Determination of the research sample used simple random sampling method. The total respondents taken are 39 people. The results show that the knowledge of farmers on OPLA program is under good category with an achievement score of 78.68%. As regard to the farmers' attitude and application of the OPLA program, the result showed an excellent category with achievement score of 85.38% and the achievement score of implementation is 85.00%. The farmer behavior of Subak Tegan members toward the Land Optimization program (OPLA) belongs to good category with an achievement score of 83.02%. Based on the results of study the agricultural extension counselorare expected to apply a persuasive approach, explain the uniqueness, advantages, benefits, and provide guidance until the independent farmers actually implement the OPLA program.

Abstract

Business Feasibility of Tangerine Plantationin the Village of Sekaan, Sub-District of Southern Kintamani , the Regency of BangliThe roles of agriculture in the national economic development are asthe driving force of economic growth through the agro-industry, as a provider and developer of the market for the products and services of non-agricultural sectors, as capital accumulation and qualified workforce and as the conservation of natural resources for sustainable development. One of the agricultural commodities that has important and strategic positions are citrus fruits. Data from the Department of P3 (agriculture, horticulture, and forestry) of Bangli Regency in 2014 showed that the total population of citrus crop in Bangli Regency amounted to 4,084,168 trees, within a period of five years from 2009 until 2013, citrus production has fluctuated.One of the tangerine farms in the Province of Bali is located in the village of Sekaan, Sub-District of Southern Kintamani, Bangli Regency. Therefore, the study was conductedto analyze the financial feasibility, and obstacles faced in running the tangerine plantation business for 10 years. In the financial feasibility, the aspects discussed include: net present value, net benefit / cost ratio, internal rate of return, payback period and sensitivity analysis that were discussed descriptively and quantitatively. Theresults showed that the tangerine farming business in the village of Sekaan, Sub-District of Southern Kintamani, Bangli Regency is feasible to be continued.

Abstract

Institutional sustainability of Irrigation Organizations of Subak that Experiencing Land Conversions: A Case Study of Subak of Padang Tegal, Sub-District of Ubud, Gianyar RegencyThe high land conversions to other uses in Bali have made the agricultural sector should begin to be aware, especially the agricultural stakeholders in the tourist destination. This study aimed to determine the sustainability of institution in the Subak of Padang Tegal, and to find out the life of farmers as members of Subak of Padang Tegal, Sub-District of Ubud. The scope of this study encompasses institutional continuity in Subak that undergoing conversion to other uses. In addition, this study analyzed the life of the farmer members of Subak Padang Tegal who remained carry out activities in the Subak. This study used qualitative descriptive analysis. The research results showed  that institutional sustainability in the Subak of Padang Tegal can still run well. The institutional scores achieved before the trends of land conversion to other uses occurred was 83.8% and only 1.1% decline in institutional water control system at this time. The farmers’ life as members of Subak of Padang Tegal was in middle category. Although still in the good category, it is expected that the institutional Subak of Padang Tegal should be maintained both from internal and external factors.

Abstract

The Behavior of Farmers of Subak Abian toward the Integrated Pest Management of Cocoa Plants (Theobroma cacao) (A Case for Subak Abian Sida Karya, Banjar Petang, Petang Village, Petang Distrik, Badung Regency)Market demand for cocoa is quite high but can not be met by the farmers. The reason is the presence of pests and diseases, and lack of understanding of farmers on Integrated Pest Management. Based on these problems, then Integrated Pest Management Field School (SLPHT) activities are held with the aim of maximizing the role of farmers to be able to control pests and diseases but still pay attention to the environmental sustainability. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of farmers’ knowledge, attitudes, and the implementation of Integrated Pest Management of cocoa trees. The research method is inspired on a Likert scale and the data analysis method used is descriptive qualitative. Total population is assigned as many as 23 people who were participants of the SLPHT. The results of survey revealed that the behavior of farmers of Subak Abian in integrated pest management of cocoa plants  are in good category with the achievement of 76.12%. Recommendation that  can be given to farmers in order to take care of rorak, conserve natural enemies, and be able to multiply Beauveria bassiana independently so that the attacks of pests and cocoa plant diseases can be well controlled.

Abstract

The Marketing Strategy Salted Peanut Women Farmers Group Sinar Rejeki in Jumpai Village, Klungkung District, Klungkung RegencyThe marketing strategy is a fundamental statement about the impact expected to be achieved in terms of demand on the specified target market. Oriented marketing strategy to create added value for customers and establish cooperative relationships with customers. The marketing strategy has a broad scope in the field of marketing include the strategy in the face of competitors, pricing strategy, product strategy, and so on. This study aims to determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, and strategies that must be done by the Women Farmers Group Sinar Rejeki in Jumpai  village, Klungkung  District, Klungkung Regency on the marketing of salted peanuts. This research was conducted in November to June 2016 held at the Women Farmers Group Sinar Rejeki in Jumpai Village, Klungkung District, Klungkung Regency. Source of research data from primary and secondary data. The key informants of this study classified a key informant for the weights (Women Farmers Group Sinar Rejeki and Agriculture, Plantation and Forestry Klungkung) and key informants for the rating (customers and competitors). This method of analysis used in this research is the analysis of the enterprise environment consisting from IFAS matrix (internal strategy factors) and matrix analysis EFAS (external strategic factors), and SWOT matrix. The analysis showed that the matrix IFAS earn a score of 2,9 and EFAS matrix given a score of 3,55.

Abstract

Farming Income Analysis of Chrysanthemum Cut Flowers at Pancasari Village, Sukasada District, Buleleng RegencyCut flowers are one of the agricultural commodities that can help improve the income and welfare of farmers. One of the cut flowers having high economic value is chrysanthemum. The aim of this study was to determine the total cost spent by the farmers of chrysanthemum cut flowers, total incomes of chrysanthemum cut flower farming and the farmers' net income of chrysanthemum cut flower farming. This study used 30 respondents through simple random sampling. The data analysis method used was quantitative analysis method that would be obtained by using the formula of farming net income.The results showed the average costs spent by farmers of chrysanthemum cut flowers amounted to Rp. 5,941,823.71, detailed from variable and fixed costs. Acceptance in one harvest season was Rp. 15.526.500,00-, detailed from chrysanthemum cut flower crops with an average greenhouse area of 355 m2, so in one harvest season the net income earned was Rp. 9,584,676.29. The suggestion recommended in this research is that the chrysanthemum cut flower growers in the village of Pancasari should retain chrysanthemum cut flower farming because it is very profitable looked at from the high market demand the production will definitely be sold so that farmers do not have to worry about the farming and there is a need for further research on the constraints faced by the farmers of chrysanthemum cut flowers on his farm and the opportunity cost arising due to choose a farm of several alternative farming opportunities available.

Abstract

The Relationship of Price and Sale Volume of Local Fruits in Pricing Strategies of Mix Products (Case in Ritel UD Moena Farm Sejahtera I)Retail stores which are also called retailer have been growing rapidly these days, especially in urban areas. Many retailers specifically sell agricultural commodities such as fruits and vegetables. The objectives of the study were to: (1) determine the correlation between the selling price the commodity of fruits offered between the lines, (2) the effect of the selling price of commodity of fruits on the volume of sales on each line, and (3) determine the sales prospects of each commodity and the maximum revenues from sales in each line of fruits at UD Moena Farm Sejahtera I.The analysis showed that, there was a fairly strong correlation between the price of guava and the selling price of salak Bali. The correlation of selling prices on other commodities (bananas, Lumajang oranges, and Kintamani oranges) was very weak. The selling price which affected the volume of sales occurred in fruit commodity of salak Bali, bananas, oranges Lumajang oranges, and Kintamani oranges. The selling price of guava had no effect on the selling volume. There were two commodities of fruits that had a good prospect, namely: Lumajang oranges, and Kintamani oranges, but these commodities are substitution goods. Salak Bali and banana negatively affected on the sales.

Abstract

The Marketing Strategy Rice Seed At UD Tani Sejati In The District Blahbatuh Gianyar The agricultural sector is the most important sector in both the long-term economic development as well as for short-term economic recovery. UD Tani Sejati is one of trader that produce rice seeds.  The purpose of this research are identifying the internal factors and eksternal factors; knowing common strategy in improving the marketing of rice seeds; and finding out how an alternative strategy in improving the marketing of rice seeds. Research scope is covering environmental analysis of internal and eksternal that affects marketing at UD Tani Sejati. Identification of UD Tani Sejati internal faktor in the form of strength and weakness, and eksternal factor in the form of opportunities and threat. Common strategy produced by Matriks IFAS-EFAS be on a circle quadrant V it means UD Tani Sejati in a position can develop the strategy of maintaining and maintenance products, develop strategies for market and product development strategy. The result of SWOT matrix obtained alternative strategy, namely : strategy S-O increase the volume of procurement and disbursing; strategy W-O inprove education human recources; strategy S-T make coordination with production factor providers and raw materials; strategy W-T optimize the promotion. Need to safety advanced research on the marketing strategy and increase production strategies to be able to do market penetration and raise production capacity.

Abstract

Influence the Production, Consumption, and National Soybean Price Against Indonesian Soybean Imports in the Period 1980 to 2013 The type of this research is an explanatory research collaborated in quantitative approach. The data used in this research was the volume of Indonesian Soybean imports in periods of 1980 until 2013 obtained with Indonesian statistic and the Ministry of Indonesian Agriculture then the data analyzed in multiple linear regression statistical method used SPSS 20.0. The result of the study determined by the effect of production, consumption, and price which against the volume of soybean imports in Indonesia during 1980 until 2013 both effecting simultaneously and partially. National soybean production (X1), national soybean consumption (X2), and national soybean price (X3),  are the independent variable in this research. Soybean production decrease the quality of imports although its consumption and national soybean price highly average, soybean consumption is a variable that has the greatest  influence on the number of soybean imports during 1980 to 2013. This research concluded some suggestion to the government regarding the soybean production in order to improve the domestic production, varieties and farmer institusions. Moreover, it can be accomplished by setting the domestic soybean price to reduce different price between soybean imports and domestic soybean.
