Abstract

Art education is creativity education, which aims as a medium to accommodate students' creative capacity. Therefore, all educational practices need to support the potential and uniqueness of students. The phenomenon in art learning is that the presence of artworks assessments is in the form of numbers made by educators in conventional schools. A humanistic assessment can support each student's potential and uniqueness. The artwork has its aesthetic value, and each individual has their perspective on work, as is the case with educational practices in the KBQT drawing class, which is considered to respect every potential and uniqueness of students through their educational practices. In its practice, the tutors' assessment of the KBQT drawing class avoids justifying student work. Therefore, the form of assessment carried out is a review, which is carried out at every meeting. This article is the result of research aimed at interpreting the form of assessment carried out in the KBQT drawing class as a form of assessment that supports the practice of humanistic education on works of art. Based on the results of the research that has been analyzed, it is stated that the form of assessment that takes place in the KBQT drawing class is not to justify student learning outcomes. However, the assessment is carried out to ensure that art learning has become a meaningful activity for the students for their real-life and future.

Abstract

Musical notation is a music writing system in the form of images. Musical notation has become material in the learning syllabus, but, unfortunately, it cannot be conveyed optimally to the students. Based on the explanation above, the researchers have made the problems students experienced the main foundation of the learning process. It is supported by using the PBL model. In order to maximize the results of the PBL model combined with the Peer Tutor method, the use of this method makes the students the centre of learning. The combination of the PBL model and the Peer Tutor method aims to test if its application significantly affects the students' comprehension of musical notation reading. The research method used was quantitative with a quasi-experimental approach. The sampling technique used purposive samples, and the hypothesis testing employed the paired t-test formula. The results of this study are in the form of answers to the hypothesis, which are supported by the statistical test results. There is a significant difference in the average post-test score between the experimental and control groups. Based on the data, the tcount value is 13.777, while the ttable value is 1.67, with df = 58 and the significance level = 0.05. It is clear that tcount>t table, so Ho is rejected, meaning there is an average difference between the post-test and pre-test scores.

Mappalelo Cakkuriri ritual ceremonies are a culture that has become a habit of the Puttada people from the past until now. This study aims to explain the performance of the Mappalelo Cakkuriri ritual ceremony as a medium for the inheritance of values in the Puttada village community. The ritual ceremony is held every four years and, at the latest, every five years. The ceremony is a habit or culture with values that are used as guidelines for the life of the Puttada community. It is a legacy of the predecessors passed down from generation to generation as a commemoration to be grateful, even as a method to overcome disasters. Mappalelo Cakkuriri ritual ceremony has its method of inheritance which is in line with education. The inheritance pattern in the ritual performance occurs genetically/vertical transmission (upright inheritance) from parents to their children and grandchildren. It applies to both the executors and the Puttada community in general. Then the educational process occurs in the Pappuangang Puttada organization, namely non-formal and informal education; in society, it occurs informally where the people are introduced to the Mappalelo Cakkuriri ritual performance since their childhood.

Abstract

Art and society are two inseparable things that go hand in hand and influence each other. It shows that the existence of a work of art cannot be separated from public appreciation. Society has contributed as a mover, changer, maintenance, and creator of the artwork presence. This study has examined the community's appreciation of a performance of the Kiamat Dance (Doomsday Dance), a heritage dance from the Keratuan Darah Putih in Kuripan Village, South Lampung Regency. The research used descriptive qualitative methods with a case study design (real-life events). Data collection used observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity technique used triangulation of data sources. Analysis of the data used an analytical approach by Janet adshead et al., which divides the dance analysis into four stages: describing, interpreting, and evaluating. The study results show that the Kiamat Dance is one of the dances contained in the traditional ruwah procession or the wedding celebration of the king of the Keratuan Darah Putih. It is called the Kiamat Dance because it is performed at the end of a ruwah event or as a closing dance. Descendants from the kingdom dance, but the musicians are residents, as stated by Osborn. He has divided appreciation into two parts: appreciation as an attitude which refers to habits and expertise, and appreciation as an action. The Kiamat Dance performance in the traditional ruwah procession is a stimulus-response practice. There is a stimulus from the feeling of belonging and the need to carry out the dance performance in a traditional ruwah procession, reproducing a repetitive activity, thus forming a habit. These stimulus-response activities then start actions in the form of respect, ownership, and direct involvement of the community in activities, which are unconsciously a form of appreciation.
