Abstract

This research is motivated by the interest of researchers in increasing the ability of cooperation in the use of used cardboard as an educational play tool in late childhood children in Canden Hamlet RT05, Canden, Jetis, Bantul, Yogyakarta. In general, this research is to find out the increase in the ability of children's cooperation in the use of used cardboard as an educational game tool. This research is a type of qualitative research that is descriptive in nature. Data obtained from the results of research using the method of collecting data observation, interviews, and documentation. While the technical analysis of the data used is data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results showed a significant increase in the ability of cooperation in the use of used cardboard as an educational game tool.

Abstract

The writing of this paper aims to explain how to answer the challenges of advancing science and technology more rapidly by preparing students to go ahead and develop with 21st Century learning planning namely STEAM-based learning (Science, Technology, Eingeneering, Art and Mathematic). Learning planning is a design for teachers in carrying out play activities to facilitate children in the learning process. The lesson plan must refer to the characteristics (age, social culture, and needs of the individual). 21st Century Learning is learning that integrates the abilities of knowledge, skills and attitudes as well as mastery of technology. This research is a qualitative research. Data collection techniques used in the form of interviews, field observations and reflective journals. Planning becomes the most important part in a learning process, which focuses more on 4C (Communication, Collaborative, Creatical Thingking, and Creativity). STEAM-based learning (Science, Technology, Eingeneering, Art and Mathematic) will help train children to be able to analyze existing problems using a variety of approaches, both science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics so that it becomes a step for the survival of students in wading through changing times very quickly.

Abstract

This action research evaluated effectiveness of peer assisted strategy, a buddy reading program between 21 pairs of kindergarten and first grade students in a rural school in the United States. Kindergarten students who were below reading grade level were paired with firstgrade students who were at proficient reading grade level and vice versa. The study examined how reading storybooks together for 20 minutes a day, three times a week for four weeks, impacted student attitudes toward reading, text reading comprehension (TRC), and dynamic indicators of basic early literacy skills (DIBELS). Findings showed that students enjoyed buddy reading as reflected in the pre-and posttest surveys of reading attidues. Results also suggest the buddy reading intervention had a positive effect on the end of the year mClass Reading 3D text comprehension. Implications of using this cost-effective peer engagement strategy for teaching and research are provided.

Abstract

This study emphasizes on the behavior of outstanding RA teachers who can be limited as mental states to think, behave, and behave during the golden age in the growth and development of an early child when RA teachers experience them. These behaviors are reflections of various aspects, both physical and non physical, as well as psychological reactions from an RA teacher with environmental achievements. These outstanding RA teachers during the golden age mostly did not receive formal education in their early age education, not through kindergarten (kindergarten) even those who were equal, but their childhood experiences really liked to play rain, play ball, even used to playing with boys (man). The teaching patterns instilled by his parents also tend to be rigid and decisive, especially his father who is also a teacher to teach him. In his house deliberately no television was provided because it was considered to be able to take up study time.

Abstract

Parents as the main caregivers play a very important role, because the parenting patterns will greatly affect the growth and development of children. Every parent hopes that their children can grow well according to the aspects of development and can grow optimally, so that later the children will become smart children. However, the busyness of the parents forced the parents to leave their children at the TPA. This is where TPA as a Children Gareden plays a very important role in the process of caring for a child. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the results of the implementation of democratic parenting in early childhood. This study uses a qualitative descriptive field research method. The research location is in the RAPSI RANUPAKSI Children Gareden, Karangpucung, South Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency. The research subjects include teachers or caregivers and parents of children. Data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study describe the implementation of democratic parenting patterns and democratic values ​​in parenting carried out by caregivers in early childhood in the RAPSI RANUPAKSI Children Gareden Karangpucung, South Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency, this research shows the process parenting activities, and democratic values ​​in the childcare process in the Children Gareden . Recommendations for future research as a material for research renewal can be done not only in childcare institutions but also parenting patterns carried out by families. So it can be known the connection, relationships, wider and profound impact related to the relationship of foster care institutions and parents or families.

Abstract

Garbage is still a big problem for the world, especially Indonesia. The continual increase in waste production and the lack of environmental care are the cause of this problem. It is very important to teach attitudes of environmental care started in early age. Therefore, teachers should be able to find the right methods to make the students have an environmental care. The purpose of this research is to present the Method of Sampah Berkah used in TK Al-Huda Malang City in an effort to teach attitudes of environmental care for students. This research used a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis methods. Data collection techniques are observation and in-depth interviews. The results showed that Sampah Berkah can be an effective and creative method to teach environmental care attitudes for early childhood. Through this Sampah Berkah, children are trained to sort, give and use garbage for recycling, in order that garbage is not immediately thrown away. So, the child's environmental caring attitudes can grow and develop.

Abstract

The purpouse of study to describe the teaching materials and application of creative dance in develop kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligence. Teaching materials are references that are made and used by teachers to carry out learning activities in the form of daily activity plan, covering learning objectives, content of material to be delivered, time allocation, media to be used until assessment. Teaching materials planning determines the achievement of the objectives of learning activities. This states that planning really needs to be done as well as possible and there is a need for a match between the teaching materials that have been planned and the learning implementation process. This research is a qualitative research with a case study approach conducted in one of the teachers a kindergarten in Purwakarta who was selected by purposive sampling technique. The data were collected by means of observation, interview, documentation and triangulation techniques. The result of the research states that there is a correspondence between the daily activity plan that has been made with the learning implementation process carried out by the teacher. It is hoped that it can continue to be maintained and developed again in the preparation of daily activity plans, so that it can be used by other teachers.

Abstract

Tutoring services are a form of assistance provided to individuals to overcome problems in learning activities so that after going through the change process in learning they can achieve optimal learning outcomes. Tutoring for students is more focused on improving learning achievement and aspects of child development. The learning achievement and development of this child are programmed by the Play Group and the Early Childhood Education unit. The program is implemented to support the guidance of early detection learning services for growth and development, the formation of Islamic habit, art classes, and reading aloud. The research objective was to see the tutoring process in child development in the Wadas Kelir South Purwokerto Study Group. Therefore, the implementation of tutoring that has positive learning attitudes and habits, such as reading books, learning the discipline of many things, having attention to all lessons, and actively participating in all learning activities programmed in KB Wadas Kelir, South Purwokerto. The research used a qualitative descriptive research method. The research subjects included the principal, class teachers (stars, moon, sun), parents, and children of KB Wadas Kelir South Purwokerto. The object of research is the role of tutoring services in child development at KB Wadas Kelir South Purwokerto. The data method used is observation, interview, documentation. The technical analysis used is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results describe learning services in the aspects of child development carried out in the Wadas Kelir South Purwokerto Learning Group, Banyumas Regency.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the challenges of parents in taking care of their children when facing the coronavirus pandemic happening globally. This makes conditions change in various sectors. The implementation of “Work from Home” and “School from Home” is a government policy to break the chain of the coronavirus. The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between parenting self-efficacy and parenting stress on parents to support early children playing at home. The research design was quantitative simple correlation. The population in this research were parents having young children in Bandar Lampung City. The sample of this research was selected by simple random sampling technique. The results showed that there was a significant negative relationship between parenting self-efficacy and parenting stress on parents in accompanying early childhood playing at home. So, if the parenting self-efficacy of parents is high, it can reduce the parenting stress when accompanying children to play at home. Based on these findings, this study suggests (1) further research should be done on a larger subject, (2) further research can compare between parents inservice and preservice training parenting, (3) Researchers can look for other factors as stressors for parents in parenting early childhood at home.

Abstract

This study aims to see how the application of STEAM-based learning in the learning process. Knowing the description of the process of implementing STEAM-based learning. This research method uses descriptive research in the form of a survey method. This research uses data collection techniques through non-test techniques conducted at RA Perwanida Praya. The results of the study were analyzed through the Editing, Coding, and Scoring stages, which describe STEAM-based learning activities. The simple result is that the application of STEAM has appeared in the learning activities that have been applied but the teacher still does not fully understand STEAM learning related to its elements and aspects.
