Abstract

Distribution system Springs Sikumbang Kampar is from the primary seller, and the distributor distributes it to the public. The Sikumbang Kampar Springs distributor is experiencing the problem of increasing the cost of distribution because it does not have a distribution pattern. Therefore, it takes a transportation model to complain distribution problems experienced by the distributor of Springs Sikumbang Kampar. The research was conducted to obtain the minimum cost in distributing the drinking water to help distributors solve these problems. For this reason, a method is needed in compiling a mathematical model appropriate to the distribution problem. The methods used in the study are Vogel's Approximation Method (VAM), Improved Vogel's Approximation Method (IVAM), Max-Min Vogel's Approximation Method (MM-VAM), and Modified Vogel's Approximation Method (MVAM). Based on the results of the study, Vogel's Approximation Method generates total cost different initial solutions. Vogel's Approximation Method is more efficient, as it has few iterations to obtain the optimal solution using the stepping stone method. Distributors can consider the use of Vogel's Approximation Method in optimizing the distribution costs of drinking water from Sikumbang Kampar Springs. Total distribution transportation costs Sikumbang Kampar Springs per week uses transportation model is Rp 4,580,485.00. This result is more optimal for transportation costs distributor, that is Rp 5.050.000.000,00, so there is a reduction in transportation for Rp 469,515.00.

Abstract

This research is purposed for exploring Ethnomatematics geblek renteng batik in Kulonprogo, and this type of research is a qualitative descriptive with an ethnography approach. The collected data is qualitative, as the resource is gained from the observation, interview, and documentation related to batik geblek renteng the research instrument is a private research. The technic of data collection is gained from deep interview and documentation, the aid that is used in this research is interview guidance and documentation. The validation data is done by doing qualitative descriptive analysis. The result of the research shows that the motifs on batik geblek renteng contain a mathematics concept. The identification results from geblek renteng batik as the triangle elements, parallelogram, translation, reflection, rotation, and dilatation. The math concept on batik geblek renteng in addition to the introduction of culture, it also to be expected for one of the application math learning based on the culture process.

Abstract

Research of blended learning in mathematics using the bibliometric method is still relatively rare. Therefore the novelty of this research is through the method used bibliometric analysis, data sources from Scopus database with restrictions on articles published in 2011 until 2021 analyzed with Publish or Perished (PoP ) application and visualization using Vosviewer. The sample of this research is scientific articles about blended learning mathematics indexed by Scopus published in the last ten years, from 2011 to 2021, as many as 136 scientific articles. The research method used is a bibliometric analysis conducted on 136 publications on blended learning mathematics learning on the Scopus database. Data analysis carried out is citation analysis, publication trend analysis, trend analysis, and analysis of author keywords. Research articles on blended learning mathematics learning published in Scopus indexed journals have generally experienced positive growth from year to year. The most citations to articles related to blended learning occurred in 2019 with 107 article citations., the articles that were used the most as references in these writings had a good impact on the creation of knowledge related to blended learning mathematics and research opportunities. Keywords that are rarely used related to blended learning in mathematics learning are analysis and Schoology. These two keywords can be a reference for further research in the future. It indicates that the opportunity to research this topic is still extensive.

Abstract

Elementary school is the main foundation in developing an understanding of mathematical concepts. If the basic understanding of students' concepts is not good or weak, students cannot solve math problems. Therefore, understanding the concept is essential to help students in learning mathematics. The teacher does not optimize the methods, strategies, or learning models in the learning process. So far, the learning process is only guided by explanations or examples of questions. As a result, when students are faced with different questions, students have difficulty solving problems. It happens because of the lack of students' conceptual understanding skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in the ability to understand the concept by using origami media through the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model. This study uses a quantitative approach, while the design used in this study is the Pre-Experiment One group pre-test and post-test design. The population in the study were all fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 42 Banda Aceh, totaling 50 students, consisting of students in class VA-1 as the Experiment class, while in class VA-2 as the Control class. Based on the analysis of research data, it is stated that the significant value (2-tailed) N-Gain score is 0.000 less than 0.05, so H0 is rejected, and Ha is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an increase in the concept understanding ability and belief taught with origami media and through the TTW model with using conventional learning.

Abstract

Mathematical critical thinking skills are one of the essential skills in the 21st century. However, in reality, many students still do not have good mathematical critical thinking skills. This is because the teacher has not been able to process students' critical thinking in mathematics. Most teachers only teach mathematical concepts without seeing how the students' critical thinking processes in solving mathematics problems are given. Therefore, it is necessary to know how the critical thinking process of students so that teachers know what strategies should be applied in the classroom. This study aims to (1) describe the critical thinking skills of students in Grade 8 in solving a system of linear equations in two variables (SLETV) and (2) identify the components of critical thinking in students. It is a study with a qualitative descriptive approach. Three indicators are used as the basis, namely analyzing, evaluating, and drawing a conclusion. As many as 32 subjects were involved (14 males and 18 females). The research instrument was a test with three problems containing three indicators. Data were collected through test and interview methods, and triangulation was done to compare the outcomes between tests and interviews. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that: (1) critical thinking skills of students are classified 'low'; (2) students' ability in concluding, as one indicator of critical thinking skills, is lower than other indicators.
