Abstract

This research aims to develop learning media in the form of Augmented Reality (AR) based flashcards on the topic "Getting to Know Our Earth" for fifth-grade students at SDN Jegu 02, Blitar Regency, and to analyze its effectiveness in enhancing students' critical thinking skills. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ASSURE development model (Analyze, State Objectives, Select Media, Utilize, Evaluation, and Revise). The AR flashcard media is designed so that students can interact visually and engagingly with the material thru Android-based devices. The validation results from subject matter experts, media experts, and media feasibility indicate that this media is highly valid and suitable for use. The implementation with fifth-grade students showed a significant improvement in critical thinking skills, as evidenced by the pre-test and post-test results. Thus, Augmented Reality-based flashcard media is effectively implemented as an interactive and innovative learning aid in enhancing the critical thinking of elementary school students.
