Abstract

Religious moderation is a crucial approach to maintaining harmony in religious life within Indonesia's diverse and pluralistic society. The younger generation holds a strategic position as agents of change due to their proximity to education, public spaces, and the rapid development of technology and digital media. This study aims to analyze the role of the younger generation as agents of religious moderation and to examine the concrete contributions they can make within the social and religious contexts of society. The method used in this study is a literature review with a qualitative descriptive approach through a review of various articles, books, and scientific journals relevant to the theme of religious moderation and the role of the younger generation. The results indicate that the younger generation plays a crucial role in instilling values of tolerance, rejecting extremism, and developing inclusive and civilized religious attitudes through education, social activities, interfaith dialogue, and the positive use of digital media. With the continued strengthening of religious literacy and digital literacy, the younger generation is expected to be at the forefront of internalizing and disseminating the values of religious moderation within the wider community.
