The historical approach in Islamic studies is a research method that emphasizes understanding religious texts, practices, and traditions within the historical context in which they emerged. This approach enables researchers to interpret texts contextually, trace the origins of thought and practices, and assess their applicability in modern society. These findings confirm that Islamic studies that consider historical context result in deeper and more applicable scholarship
