Abstract

One of the tasks of development that must be traversed by a teenager is a task in planning or choosinga career/job for the future. However, many conditions faced by teens who were in Lembaga Pembinaan Khusus Anak (LPKA) as the Special Children's Mentoring Institute,include the lack of career information that they have caused them difficulty and have trouble doing career planning for their future. This research aims to describe of the problem of young prisoner in the career planning process. This research used quantitative approaches with descriptive-quantitative method. The sample in this research consisted of 32 young prisoner. The results showed that young prisoner who have problems of planning a career on the very high category as many as 17 people with 51.51%, in high category as many as 11 people with 33.33% and on the category quite as many as 4 people with 12.12%.

Abstract

Assertive behavior has an important role for students as a means of control in performing an action and the ability to express emotions appropriately. Students who are not assertive, indicated resources by reviews their dependence on the environment, lack of understanding of reviews their needs, and difficult, to say 'no', so easily affected and carriedaway in negative environments. Therefore, students need to be given understanding and training from professionals. One of the which is a counselor through guidance and counseling services to direct and help develop student assertive behavior in order to live a better life in the future. This paper discusses the basic concepts of assertive behavior and the role of counselors to assist students in developing assertive behaviors.

Abstract

One of the problems experienced by young prisoners is the fear of exaggeration and anxiety unacceptable in the social environment after being released from prison, also called social anxiety. The purpose of this study was to look at the image of social anxiety of young prisoners. This research uses descriptive method with quantitative approach. The sampling method is the total sampling. The sample of this research is all of juvenile inmates at Institution of Special Grade of Children Class II Tanjung Pati amounted to 33 people. Data collection using young prisoner social anxiety scale with reliability of 0.86 with high category. The results showed that the prisoners' social anxiety image was in the high category with the percentage of 51.52%. This means the need for special guidance provided by prison counselors to reduce social anxiety experienced by Young Prisoners

Abstract

This study aims to examine the contribution of social support co-workers and social self-concepts together to school counselor burnout conditions. This research uses quantitative method of correlation descriptive type. The population of the research is the State Senior High School counselor of Pekanbaru City. The sample numbered 52 people school counselors were assigned with sampling technique total sampling. The instruments used are the “Burnout Scale” with reliablity 0,976, “Social Support Co-workers Scale” with reliability 0,959, and “Social Self-Concept Scale” with reliablity 0,934. The research data were analyzed using multiple regression. The research findings show that there is contribution of social support of co-workers and social self concept to burnout condition equal to 55.7%. The implications of this research on guidance and counseling will be discussed.
