Abstract

Although digital marketing education has received increasing attention in vocational learning contexts, research specifically examining the role of scaffolded Cooperative Problem-Based Learning (CPBL) in enhancing students’ digital business readiness remains limited. This study aims to explore how scaffolded CPBL influences vocational students’ learning experiences, motivation, and readiness for digital business practices. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed, involving 68 students from Diploma 3 programs in Information Technology and Culinary Arts at a polytechnic institution. Participants were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through reflective journals and semi-structured interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis guided by the MUSIC Model of Motivation framework. The findings indicate that scaffolded CPBL enhances students’ engagement and learning performance through small-group collaboration, facilitator support, and structured learning activities. These elements foster active participation, autonomy, and deeper understanding of digital marketing concepts. Digital business readiness also emerged as a key outcome, reflected in students’ ability to apply marketing strategies, think entrepreneurially, and collaborate in solving real-world business problems. The study concludes that scaffolded CPBL plays a crucial role in preparing vocational students for employment and entrepreneurial pathways in the digital economy. These findings contribute to constructivist learning and motivation theory and extend understanding of CPBL implementation in vocational digital marketing education. The implications of this research include practical recommendations for educators and vocational institutions to integrate problem-based and scaffolded learning approaches into digital marketing curricula and to design more industry-relevant learning experiences. The study also identifies opportunities for future research on CPBL implementation in practice-based vocational courses and longitudinal evaluation of students’ career outcomes.

Abstract

The limited research on the use of AI-generated content (AIGC) in digital marketing education within vocational settings forms the background of this study, despite AIGC’s significant potential to transform how students design promotional strategies and carry out online selling activities. This study aims to analyze how students perceive the use of AIGC and its impact on online sales performance in the context of a Digital Marketing course. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed, involving eight participants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected via semi-structured interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal that AIGC supports content production efficiency, enhances audience engagement, and expands students’ digital reach. However, its impact on sales performance remains inconsistent due to external factors such as market segmentation and distribution strategies. These findings align with social-cognitive learning theory, which emphasizes the role of direct experience in the learning process. The study concludes that AIGC plays a crucial role in supporting project-based learning in vocational education, particularly in the context of digital entrepreneurship. The implications include a theoretical contribution to the literature on AI integration in vocational education, as well as practical recommendations for educators to adapt curricula that are responsive to technological advancements. This research also opens avenues for further studies on the long-term effectiveness of AIGC in enhancing students’ digital business performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based information technology on tourist satisfaction and loyalty through a systematic literature review method. Following the PRISMA guidelines, researchers conducted a literature search in the ScienceDirect and SpringerLink databases using keywords such as "artificial intelligence," "tourist satisfaction," and "tourist loyalty." Of the 40 articles identified, 12 articles met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed thematically. The results showed that AI significantly improves tourist satisfaction through service personalization, operational efficiency, and better interactions. Applications such as recommendation systems, chatbots, and predictive analytics have proven effective in improving the tourist experience. However, the implementation of AI also faces challenges such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, and low technology adoption. The implications of this study are the importance of optimizing the use of AI by ensuring data security, reducing bias, and improving education for service providers and tourists. This study provides recommendations for further research, including exploring the impact of AI on specific tourist segments and investigating the long-term impact on loyalty.
