ABSTRACT The ability of passing and stopping is one of the fundamental skills that plays an important role in maintaining ball possession and supporting the effectiveness of soccer performance. Based on observations of PSKT Sumbawa Barat players in 2023, players still made errors in passing and ball control, causing the flow of the game to become less effective. This study aimed to determine the effect of throw-in pass and score and passing go training on the passing stopping ability of PSKT Sumbawa Barat players in 2023. The study employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method with a two group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 22 players selected through a purposive sampling technique and divided into two treatment groups. The first group received throw-in pass and score training, while the second group received passing go training. The training program was conducted for six weeks with a frequency of three sessions per week. Data were collected using a 30-second passing stopping test, while data analysis was performed using a t-test at a 5% significance level. The results showed that both forms of training had a significant effect on improving the players’ passing stopping ability. Game-based and movement-oriented training proved effective in improving passing quality, ball control, movement coordination, and decision-making skills during game situations. ABSTRAK Kemampuan passing stopping merupakan salah satu keterampilan dasar yang berperan penting dalam menjaga penguasaan bola dan mendukung efektivitas permainan sepak bola. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan pada pemain PSKT Sumbawa Barat tahun 2023, masih ditemukan kesalahan dalam melakukan passing dan mengontrol bola sehingga alur permainan kurang optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan throw-in pass and score dan passing go terhadap kemampuan passing stopping pemain PSKT Sumbawa Barat tahun 2023. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen dan desain two group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 22 pemain yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan dibagi ke dalam dua kelompok perlakuan. Kelompok pertama diberikan latihan throw-in pass and score, sedangkan kelompok kedua diberikan latihan passing go. Program latihan dilaksanakan selama enam minggu dengan frekuensi tiga kali per minggu. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes passing stopping selama 30 detik, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji-t pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua bentuk latihan memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan passing stopping pemain. Latihan berbasis permainan dan pergerakan terbukti membantu pemain meningkatkan kualitas passing, kontrol bola, koordinasi gerak, serta kemampuan mengambil keputusan dalam situasi permainan.
