Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of a transit dormitory (pondok transit) as a model of the Islamic Religious Education environment for non-resident students at Nurul Islam Islamic Boarding School, Karangcempaka Bluto, Sumenep. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design to gain an in-depth understanding of the educational practices taking place within the transit dormitory environment. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with pesantren caregivers, teachers, and students, as well as documentation of educational activities conducted in the transit dormitory. Data analysis was carried out through the processes of data reduction, data display, and interpretative conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the transit dormitory functions as an educational transition space bridging formal education in madrasah and Qur’anic learning in pesantren institutions. Its presence not only fulfills students’ physical needs, such as meals, rest, and a safe environment, but also serves as a medium for spiritual development through congregational prayers, Qur’an recitation, and memorization review activities. Furthermore, the transit dormitory contributes to the development of religious character, discipline, and social cohesion among students through structured religious routines and social interactions. This study formulates a model of an Islamic educational environment based on the transit dormitory that integrates physical, spiritual, and academic dimensions in a holistic and sustainable framework for non-resident students.

Abstract

Mobile Legends is a game that is widely popular among all demographics, particularly teenagers, and can lead to dependency or addiction. The impact of this online game also affects children’s academic performance and behavior, potentially leading to social deviance. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of Mobile Legends on students’ social attitudes. This study is an ex post facto study. The target population consists of all students at SMP Islam Nurul Iman. The sampling technique used was saturation sampling. Data collection methods included observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis employed simple linear regression using SPSS software. The results revealed a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.429 with an R-squared value (coefficient of determination) of 0.184, indicating that Mobile Legends has an influence on students’ social attitudes. Changes in social behavior include rarely socializing with peers, becoming easily emotional toward the surrounding environment, reduced interaction with parents, and decreased study time. Efforts to prevent these impacts can be undertaken by parents, teachers, and the adolescents themselves. These include managing playtime and parental guidance in technology use

Abstract

The level of public awareness regarding environmental sustainability, particularly in waste management at Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata, remains relatively low. The gap between theoretical understanding and practical application in the field is an issue that must be addressed. To address this issue, the Eco-Pentren program can be implemented, along with the use of the SampahKita app in partnership with the Hamdalah waste management service. This study employs a quantitative approach using data collection techniques such as pre-test and post-test assessments, as well as documentation. The study sample consists of 43 students/pupils from Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata selected at random. Data were analyzed using frequency distributions with the aid of basic SPSS. The research results indicate that the implementation of the Eco-Pentren program and the SampahKita app proved effective at a rate of 72.1%. It was deemed effective due to changes in student behavior, including active participation in the “Clean Morning” and “Blessed Friday (School Cleanup)” programs as well as their practice of the 5R principles, maggot farming, active participation in scientific writing activities on environmental themes, and the formation of a special task force (LHB Task Force) whose members consist of administrators and religious instructors who address environmental issues in a structured manner.
