Abstract

The banking industry increasingly requires employees who can sustain performance amid digital transformation, service pressure, and stricter operational targets. This study examines the influence of work engagement and psychological capital on employee performance, with employee well-being as a mediating variable at PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk. A quantitative explanatory design was applied using survey data from 64 employees selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a structured five-point Likert questionnaire and analyzed through validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, and Sobel mediation testing using SPSS. The results show that work engagement significantly affects employee well-being (b = 0.312, p = 0.001) and employee performance (b = 0.298, p = 0.001). Psychological capital also significantly affects employee well-being (b = 0.298, p = 0.002) and employee performance (b = 0.276, p = 0.002). Employee well-being significantly improves employee performance (b = 0.421, p 0.001) and partially mediates both relationships. These findings emphasize that employee performance can be strengthened by developing engagement, psychological capital, and workplace well-being as integrated human resource strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how an entrepreneurial mindset can be cultivated among Generation Z through the utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) in entrepreneurship education. Generation Z is known as a generation highly familiar with technology; However, they often face challenges in developing independence, making decisions, and taking responsibility for the impacts of their actions. This study employs a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to understand the subjective experiences of participants in an AI-based entrepreneurship training program. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, and were subsequently analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The findings indicate that the integration of AI into learning can enhance participants' abilities to identify business opportunities, make strategic decisions, and develop sustainable business models. Furthermore, AI encourages participants to become more collaborative and develop greater ethical awareness of the social impacts of their innovations. These findings suggest that AI serves not only as a technical support tool but also as a medium for character development that promotes independence and responsibility. This study recommends the development of sustainable AI-based entrepreneurship curriculum to support Generation Z's readiness to face the challenges of the digital era.
