Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilaksanakan guna mengkaji sejauh mana penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif melalui teknik Index Card Match mampu mendukung perkembangan kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik di tingkat sekolah dasar pada pokok bahasan proses fotosintesis. Studi ini menerapkan desain praeksperimental satu kelompok pretest–posttest. Partisipan dalam penelitian terdiri atas 31 peserta didik kelas IV di SD Negeri 2 Tahunan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan teknik tes, observasi, serta dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis melalui analisis deskriptif, pengujian normalitas, paired sample t-test, dan perhitungan N-gain. Temuan penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa rata-rata nilai siswa mengalami peningkatan dari 54,35 menjadi 70,16. Hasil uji analisis statistik juga menunjukkan perbedaan yang nyata dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (<0,05). Di samping itu, perhitungan N-gain menghasilkan nilai 0,3806 yang berada pada kategori sedang, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Index Card Match efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi sains siswa. Abstract: This study was conducted to examine the extent to which the implementation of cooperative learning through the Index Card Match technique can support the development of scientific literacy skills among elementary school students in the topic of photosynthesis. The research employed a pre-experimental method using a one-group pretest–posttest design. The participants consisted of 31 fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Tahunan. Data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation. Furthermore, the obtained data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, normality testing, paired sample t-test, and N-gain analysis. An improvement in students’ average performance was observed, from 54.35 to 70.16. The statistical results also showed a significant difference with a significance level of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. Furthermore, the N-gain score obtained was 0.3806, classified as moderate. This suggests that the application of the Index Card Match model effectively improves students’ scientific literacy skills.
